1 Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.

BBE: Who is this who comes from Edom, with blood-red robes from Bozrah? he whose clothing is fair, stepping with pride in his great strength? I whose glory is in the right, strong for salvation.
KAV: 에돔에서 나오며 물들인 옷을 입고 보스라에서 나오는 이 자가 누구냐? 의복이 영화롭고 자신의 큰 능력으로 다니는 이 자가 누구냐? 의 안에서 말하는 나니 곧 구원하는 능력이 있는 자니라.2 Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?

BBE: Why is your clothing red, and why are your robes like those of one who is crushing the grapes?
KAV: 어찌하여 주의 의복이 붉으며 주의 옷이 포도즙 틀을 밟는 자와 같으니이까?3 I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment.

BBE: I have been crushing the grapes by myself, and of the peoples there was no man with me: in my wrath and in my passion, they were crushed under my feet; and my robes are marked with their life-blood, and all my clothing is red.
KAV: 만백성 중에서 나와 함께한 자가 없이 내가 홀로 포도즙 틀을 밟았노라. 내가 친히 분노하여 그들을 밟고 친히 격노하여 그들을 짓밟으리니 그들의 피가 내 옷에 튀어 내 의복을 다 더럽히리라.4 For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.

KAV: 내가 친히 분노하여 만백성을 밟으며 내가 친히 격노하여 그들을 취하게 하고 그들의 기력을 땅에까지 끌어내리리라.7 I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the LORD, and the praises of the LORD, according to all that the LORD hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.

KAV: ¶ {주}께서 우리에게 베푸신 모든 것에 따라 내가 {주}의 인자하심과 {주}의 찬양을 말하며 또 자신의 긍휼에 따라, 자신의 많은 인자하심에 따라 그분께서 이스라엘의 집에 베푸신 그 큰 선하심을 말하리라.8 For he said, Surely they are my people, children that will not lie: so he was their Saviour.

KAV: 그분께서 말씀하시되, 참으로 그들은 내 백성이요, 거짓을 말하지 아니하는 자녀라, 하시며 이처럼 그들의 [구원자]가 되사9 In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.

KAV: 짐승이 골짜기로 내려가는 것 같이 {주}의 [영]께서 그를 안식하게 하셨나니 이처럼 주께서 주의 백성을 인도하심은 친히 영화로운 이름이 되고자 하심이니이다.15 Look down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of thy holiness and of thy glory: where is thy zeal and thy strength, the sounding of thy bowels and of thy mercies toward me? are they restrained?

BBE: Let your eyes be looking down from heaven, from your holy and beautiful house: where is your deep feeling, the working of your power? do not keep back the moving of your pity and your mercies:
KAV: ¶ 하늘에서부터 내려다보시며 주의 거룩하고 영화로운 처소에서부터 바라보옵소서. 주의 열심과 주의 능력이 어디 있으며 나를 향한 주의 깊은 사랑과 주의 긍휼의 소리가 어디 있나이까? 주께서 그것들을 금하셨나이까?16 Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant ㆍ of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting.

KAV: 틀림없이 주는 우리의 아버지시니이다. 비록 아브라함은 우리를 알지 못하고 이스라엘은 우리를 인정하지 아니한다 할지라도, 오 {주}여, 주는 우리의 아버지시요, 우리의 구속자시니 주의 이름은 영원부터 있나이다.17 O LORD, why hast thou made us to err from thy ways, and hardened our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.

BBE: O Lord, why do you send us wandering from your ways, making our hearts hard, so that we have no fear of you? Come back, because of your servants, the tribes of your heritage.
KAV: ¶ 오 {주}여, 어찌하여 주께서는 우리로 하여금 주의 길들을 떠나 잘못하게 하시며 우리의 마음을 강퍅하게 하사 주를 두려워하지 아니하게 하시나이까? 주의 종들 곧 주의 상속 유업인 그 지파들을 위하여 돌아오시옵소서.18 The people of thy holiness have possessed it but a little while: our adversaries have trodden down thy sanctuary.

BBE: Why have evil men gone over your holy place, so that it has been crushed under the feet of our haters?
KAV: 주의 거룩한 백성이 단지 잠시 그 땅을 소유하였으며 우리의 대적들이 주의 성소를 짓밟았나이다.19 We are thine: thou never barest rule over them; they were not called by thy name.
