1 And it came to pass, when all the kings of the Amorites, which were on the side of Jordan westward, and all the kings of the Canaanites, which were by the sea, heard that the LORD had dried up the waters of Jordan from before the children of Israel, until we were passed over, that their heart melted, neither was there spirit in them any more, because of the children of Israel.

BBE: Now when the news came to all the kings of the Amorites on the west side of Jordan, and all the kings of the Canaanites living by the sea, how the Lord had made the waters of Jordan dry before the children of Israel, till they had gone across, their hearts became like water, and there was no more spirit in them, because of the children of Israel.
KAV: 요르단 서쪽 아모리 족속의 모든 왕과 바닷가의 가나안 족속의 모든 왕이 {주}께서 요르단의 물들을 이스라엘 자손 앞에서 마르게 하사 우리를 건너가게 하셨음을 들을 때에 마음이 녹았고 이스라엘 자손으로 인하여 더 이상 정신이 없었더라.
