KAV: 이에 선원들이 두려워하여 저마다 자기 신에게 부르짖으며 또 배를 가볍게 하려고 그 안에 있던 물건들을 바다로 던지니라. 그러나 요나는 뱃전으로 내려가서 누워 곧 잠이 드니라.

BBE: And the ship's captain came to him and said to him, What are you doing sleeping? Up! say a prayer to your God, if by chance God will give a thought to us, so that we may not come to destruction.
KAV: 그러므로 선장이 그에게 가서 이르되, 오 잠자는 자여, 어찌 된 일이냐? 일어나 네 [하나님]을 부르라. 혹시 [하나님]이 우리를 생각하시면 우리가 망하지 아니하리라, 하니라.
