1 By night on my bed I sought him whom my soulloveth: I sought him, but I found him not.
1 By night on my bed I was looking for him who is the love of my soul: I was looking for him, but I did not see him.
1 내가 밤에 침상에서 마음에 사랑하는 자를 찾았구나 찾아도 발견치 못하였구나
2 I will rise now, and go about the city in the streets, and in the broad ways I will seek him whom my soulloveth: I sought him, but I found him not.
2 I will get up now and go about the town, in the streets and in the wide ways I will go after him who is the love of my soul: I went after him, but I did not see him.
2 이에 내가 일어나서 성중으로 돌아다니며 마음에 사랑하는 자를 거리에서나 큰 길에서나 찾으리라 하고 찾으나 만나지 못하였구나
3 The watchmen that go about the cityfound me: to whom I said,Saw ye him whom my soulloveth?
3 The watchmen who go about the town came by me; to them I said, Have you seen him who is my heart's desire?
3 성중의 행순하는 자들을 만나서 묻기를 내 마음에 사랑하는 자를 너희가 보았느냐 하고
4It was but a little that I passed from them, but I found him whom my soulloveth: I held him, and would not let him go, until I had brought him into my mother'shouse, and into the chamberof her that conceived me.
4 I was but a little way from them, when I came face to face with him who is the love of my soul. I took him by the hands, and did not let him go, till I had taken him into my mother's house, and into the room of her who gave me birth.
4 그들을 떠나자마자 마음에 사랑하는 자를 만나서 그를 붙잡고 내 어미 집으로, 나를 잉태한 자의 방으로 가기까지 놓지 아니하였노라
5 I charge you, O ye daughtersofJerusalem, by the roes, and by the hindsof the field, that ye stir not up, nor awakemylove, till he please.
5 I say to you, O daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes of the field, let not love be moved till it is ready.
5 예루살렘 여자들아 내가 노루와 들 사슴으로 너희에게 부탁한다 사랑하는 자가 원하기 전에는 흔들지 말고 깨우지 말찌니라
6 Who is this that cometh out of the wilderness like pillarsofsmoke, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, with all powdersof the merchant?
6 Who is this coming out of the waste places like pillars of smoke, perfumed with sweet spices, with all the spices of the trader?
6 연기 기둥과도 같고 몰약과 유향과 장사의 여러가지 향품으로 향기롭게도 하고 거친 들에서 오는 자가 누구인고
7 Behold his bed, which isSolomon's; threescorevaliant men areabout it, of the valiantofIsrael.
7 See, it is the bed of Solomon; sixty men of war are about it, of the army of Israel,
7 이는 솔로몬의 연이라 이스라엘 용사 중 육십인이 옹위하였는데
8 They all holdswords, beingexpert in war: every manhath his sword upon his thigh because offear in the night.
8 All of them armed with swords, trained in war; every man has his sword at his side, because of fear in the night.
8 다 칼을 잡고 싸움에 익숙한 사람들이라 밤의 두려움을 인하여 각기 허리에 칼을 찼느니라
9KingSolomonmade himself a chariotof the woodofLebanon.
9 King Solomon made himself a bed of the wood of Lebanon.
9 솔로몬왕이 레바논나무로 자기의 연을 만들었는데
10 He made the pillars thereof ofsilver, the bottom thereof ofgold, the coveringof it ofpurple, the midst thereof being pavedwithlove, for the daughtersofJerusalem.
10 He made its pillars of silver, its base of gold, its seat of purple, the middle of it of ebony.
10 그 기둥은 은이요 바닥은 금이요 자리는 자색 담이라 그 안에는 예루살렘 여자들의 사랑이 입혔구나
11 Go forth, O ye daughtersofZion, and beholdkingSolomon with the crown wherewith his mothercrowned him in the dayof his espousals, and in the dayof the gladnessof his heart.
11 Go out, O daughters of Jerusalem, and see King Solomon, with the crown which his mother put on his head on the day when he was married, and on the day of the joy of his heart.
11 시온의 여자들아 나와서 솔로몬왕을 보라 혼인날 마음이 기쁠 때에 그 모친의 씌운 면류관이 그 머리에 있구나
