The duty of subjection to governors. (1-7) Exhortations to mutual love. (8-10) To temperance and sobriety. (11-14)
KJV BBE KRV
1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God : the powers that be are ordained of God.1 Let everyone put himself under the authority of the higher powers, because there is no power which is not of God, and all powers are ordered by God.1 각 사람은 위에 있는 권세들에게 굴복하라 권세는 하나님께로 나지 않음이 없나니 모든 권세는 다 하나님의 정하신바라
2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.2 For which reason everyone who puts himself against the authority puts himself against the order of God: and those who are against it will get punishment for themselves.2 그러므로 권세를 거스리는 자는 하나님의 명을 거스림이니 거스리는 자들은 심판을 자취하리라
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:3 For rulers are not a cause of fear to the good work but to the evil. If you would have no fear of the authority, do good and you will have praise;3 관원들은 선한 일에 대하여 두려움이 되지 않고 악한 일에 대하여 되나니 네가 권세를 두려워하지 아니하려느냐 선을 행하라 그리하면 그에게 칭찬을 받으리라
4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.4 For he is the servant of God to you for good. But if you do evil, have fear; for the sword is not in his hand for nothing: he is God's servant, making God's punishment come on the evil-doer.4 그는 하나님의 사자가 되어 네게 선을 이루는 자니라 그러나 네가 악을 행하거든 두려워하라 그가 공연히 칼을 가지지 아니하였으니 곧 하나님의 사자가 되어 악을 행하는 자에게 진노하심을 위하여 보응하는 자니라
5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.5 So put yourselves under the authority, not for fear of wrath, but because you have the knowledge of what is right.5 그러므로 굴복하지 아니할 수 없으니 노를 인하여만 할 것이 아니요 또한 양심을 인하여 할 것이라
6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.6 For the same reason, make payment of taxes; because the authority is God's servant, to take care of such things at all times.6 너희가 공세를 바치는 것도 이를 인함이라 저희가 하나님의 일군이 되어 바로 이 일에 항상 힘쓰느니라
7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.7 Give to all what is their right: taxes to him whose they are, payment to him whose right it is, fear to whom fear, honour to whom honour is to be given.7 모든 자에게 줄 것을 주되 공세를 받을 자에게 공세를 바치고 국세 받을 자에게 국세를 바치고 두려워할 자를 두려워하며 존경할 자를 존경하라
8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.8 Be in debt for nothing, but to have love for one another: for he who has love for his neighbour has kept all the law.8 피차 사랑의 빚 외에는 아무에게든지 아무 빚도 지지 말라 남을 사랑하는 자는 율법을 다 이루었느니라
9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.9 And this, Do not be untrue in married life, Do not put to death, Do not take what is another's, Do not have desire for what is another's, and if there is any other order, it is covered by this word, Have love for your neighbour as for yourself.9 간음하지 말라, 살인하지 말라, 도적질 하지 말라, 탐내지 말라 한 것과 그 외에 다른 계명이 있을찌라도 네 이웃을 네 자신과 같이 사랑하라 하신 그 말씀 가운데 다 들었느니라
10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.10 Love does no wrong to his neighbour, so love makes the law complete.10 사랑은 이웃에게 악을 행치 아니하나니 그러므로 사랑은 율법의 완성이니라
11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.11 See then that the time has come for you to be awake from sleep: for now is your salvation nearer than when you first had faith.11 또한 너희가 이 시기를 알거니와 자다가 깰 때가 벌써 되었으니 이는 이제 우리의 구원이 처음 믿을 때보다 가까왔음이니라
12 The night is far spent , the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.12 The night is far gone, and the day is near: so let us put off the works of the dark, arming ourselves with light,12 밤이 깊고 낮이 가까왔으니 그러므로 우리가 어두움의 일을 벗고 빛의 갑옷을 입자
13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.13 With right behaviour as in the day; not in pleasure-making and drinking, not in bad company and unclean behaviour, not in fighting and envy.13 낮에와 같이 단정히 행하고 방탕과 술취하지 말며 음란과 호색하지 말며 쟁투와 시기하지 말고
14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not give thought to the flesh to do its desires.14 오직 주 예수 그리스도로 옷입고 정욕을 위하여 육신의 일을 도모하지 말라

King James English
