우리는 여기 시편 57편에서처럼 서로 다른 시편들에서 구절을 유용하게 선택하여 우리의 신앙과 감사를 북돋을 수 있다. 마음이 믿음과 사랑 안에 굳게 설 때, 감사의 찬양에 쓰이는 혀는 우리의 영광이다. 주의 모든 선물은 그것이 하나님의 봉사와 그의 영광을 위해 쓰일 때 그것을 받은 자를 영예롭게 하고 유익하게 한다. 믿는 자들은 구원의 모든 복—하나님의 신실한 약속과 언약으로 그들에게 확보된—을 위해 확신 있는 믿음과 소망으로 기도할 수 있다. 그러면 그들은 모든 환난 중에 그에게서 도움을, 모든 싸움에서 승리를 기대하게 하라. 우리가 무엇을 하든, 무엇을 얻든, 하나님이 모든 영광을 받으셔야 한다. 주여, 이 구원으로, 주께서 택하신 백성에게 베푸시는 이 은총으로 우리 모든 영혼을 찾아오소서.
