1Blessedis the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
1 Happy is the man who does not go in the company of sinners, or take his place in the way of evil-doers, or in the seat of those who do not give honour to the Lord.
1 복 있는 사람은 악인의 꾀를 좇지 아니하며 죄인의 길에 서지 아니하며 오만한 자의 자리에 앉지 아니하고
2 But his delightis in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditateday and night.
2 But whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and whose mind is on his law day and night.
2 오직 여호와의 율법을 즐거워하여 그 율법을 주야로 묵상하는 자로다
3 And he shall be like a treeplanted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
3 He will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, which gives its fruit at the right time, whose leaves will ever be green; and he will do well in all his undertakings.
3 저는 시냇가에 심은 나무가 시절을 좇아 과실을 맺으며 그 잎사귀가 마르지 아니함 같으니 그 행사가 다 형통하리로다
4 The ungodlyare not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
4 The evil-doers are not so; but are like the dust from the grain, which the wind takes away.
4 악인은 그렇지 않음이여 오직 바람에 나는 겨와 같도다
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
5 For this cause there will be no mercy for sinners when they are judged, and the evil-doers will have no place among the upright,
5 그러므로 악인이 심판을 견디지 못하며 죄인이 의인의 회중에 들지 못하리로다
6 For the LORDknoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
6 Because the Lord sees the way of the upright, but the end of the sinner is destruction.
