KJV BBE KRV
Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them.1 Have no envy for evil men, or any desire to be with them:1 너는 악인의 형통을 부러워하지 말며 그와 함께 있기도 원하지 말찌어다
For their heart studieth destruction, and their lips talk of mischief.2 For the purposes of their hearts are destruction, and their lips are talking of trouble.2 그들의 마음은 강포를 품고 그 입술은 잔해를 말함이니라
Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:3 The building of a house is by wisdom, and by reason it is made strong:3 집은 지혜로 말미암아 건축되고 명철로 말미암아 견고히 되며
And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.4 And by knowledge its rooms are full of all dear and pleasing things.4 또 방들은 지식으로 말미암아 각종 귀하고 아름다운 보배로 채우게 되느니라
A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.5 A wise man is strong; and a man of knowledge makes strength greater.5 지혜 있는 자는 강하고 지식 있는 자는 힘을 더하나니
For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.6 For by wise guiding you will overcome in war: and in a number of wise guides there is salvation.6 너는 모략으로 싸우라 승리는 모사가 많음에 있느니라
Wisdom is too high for a fool: he openeth not his mouth in the gate.7 Wisdom is outside the power of the foolish: he keeps his mouth shut in the public place.7 지혜는 너무 높아서 미련한 자의 미치지 못할 것이므로 그는 성문에서 입을 열지 못하느니라
He that deviseth to do evil shall be called a mischievous person.8 He whose purposes are bad will be named a man of evil designs.8 악을 행하기를 꾀하는 자를 일컬어 사특한 자라 하느니라
The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men.9 The purpose of the foolish is sin: and the hater of authority is disgusting to others.9 미련한 자의 생각은 죄요 거만한 자는 사람의 미움을 받느니라
If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.10 If you give way in the day of trouble, your strength is small.10 네가 만일 환난날에 낙담하면 네 힘의 미약함을 보임이니라
If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain;11 Be the saviour of those who are given up to death, and do not keep back help from those who are slipping to destruction.11 너는 사망으로 끌려가는 자를 건져주며 살륙을 당하게 된 자를 구원하지 아니치 말라
If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?12 If you say, See, we had no knowledge of this: does not the tester of hearts give thought to it? and he who keeps your soul, has he no knowledge of it? and will he not give to every man the reward of his work?12 네가 말하기를 나는 그것을 알지 못하였노라 할찌라도 마음을 저울질 하시는 이가 어찌 통찰하지 못하시겠으며 네 영혼을 지키시는 이가 어찌 알지 못하시겠느냐 그가 각 사람의 행위대로 보응하시리라
My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste:13 My son, take honey, for it is good; and the flowing honey, which is sweet to your taste:13 내 아들아 꿀을 먹으라 이것이 좋으니라 송이꿀을 먹으라 이것이 네 입에 다니라
So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.14 So let your desire be for wisdom: if you have it, there will be a future, and your hope will not be cut off.14 지혜가 네 영혼에게 이와 같은 줄을 알라 이것을 얻으면 정녕히 네 장래가 있겠고 네 소망이 끊어지지 아니하리라
Lay not wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous; spoil not his resting place:15 Do not keep a secret watch, O evil-doer, against the fields of the upright man, or send destruction on his resting-place:15 악한 자여 의인의 집을 엿보지 말며 그 쉬는 처소를 헐지 말찌니라
For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.16 For an upright man, after falling seven times, will get up again: but trouble is the downfall of the evil.16 대저 의인은 일곱번 넘어질찌라도 다시 일어나려니와 악인은 재앙으로 인하여 엎드러지느니라
Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:17 Do not be glad at the fall of your hater, and let not your heart have joy at his downfall:17 네 원수가 넘어질 때에 즐거워하지 말며 그가 엎드러질 때에 마음에 기뻐하지 말라
Lest the LORD see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.18 For fear that the Lord may see it, and it may be evil in his eyes, and his wrath may be turned away from him.18 여호와께서 이것을 보시고 기뻐 아니하사 그 진노를 그에게서 옮기실까 두려우니라
Fret not thyself because of evil men, neither be thou envious at the wicked;19 Do not be troubled because of evil-doers, or have envy of sinners:19 너는 행악자의 득의함을 인하여 분을 품지 말며 악인의 형통을 부러워하지 말라
For there shall be no reward to the evil man; the candle of the wicked shall be put out.20 For there will be no future for the evil man; the light of sinners will be put out.20 대저 행악자는 장래가 없겠고 악인의 등불은 꺼지리라
My son, fear thou the LORD and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change:21 My son, go in fear of the Lord and the king: have nothing to do with those who are in high positions:21 내 아들아 여호와와 왕을 경외하고 반역자로 더불어 사귀지 말라
For their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who knoweth the ruin of them both?22 For their downfall will come suddenly; and who has knowledge of the destruction of those in high positions?22 대저 그들의 재앙은 속히 임하리니 이 두 자의 멸망을 누가 알랴
These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment.23 These are more sayings of the wise: To have respect for a person's position when judging is not good.23 이것도 지혜로운 자의 말씀이라 재판할 때에 낯을 보아주는 것이 옳지 못하니라
He that saith unto the wicked, Thou art righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him:24 He who says to the evil-doer, You are upright, will be cursed by peoples and hated by nations.24 무릇 악인더러 옳다 하는 자는 백성에게 저주를 받을 것이요 국민에게 미움을 받으려니와
But to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them.25 But those who say sharp words to him will have delight, and a blessing of good will come on them.25 오직 그를 견책하는 자는 기쁨을 얻을 것이요 또 좋은 복을 받으리라
Every man shall kiss his lips that giveth a right answer.26 He gives a kiss with his lips who gives a right answer.26 적당한 말로 대답함은 입맞춤과 같으니라
Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.27 Put your work in order outside, and make it ready in the field; and after that, see to the building of your house.27 네 일을 밖에서 다스리며 밭에서 예비하고 그 후에 네 집을 세울찌니라
Be not a witness against thy neighbour without cause; and deceive not with thy lips.28 Do not be a violent witness against your neighbour, or let your lips say what is false.28 너는 까닭 없이 네 이웃을 쳐서 증인이 되지 말며 네 입술로 속이지 말찌니라
Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me: I will render to the man according to his work.29 Say not, I will do to him as he has done to me; I will give the man the reward of his work.29 너는 그가 내게 행함 같이 나도 그에게 행하여 그 행한대로 갚겠다 말하지 말찌니라
I went by the field of the slothful , and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding;30 I went by the field of the hater of work, and by the vine-garden of the man without sense;30 내가 증왕에 게으른 자의 밭과 지혜 없는 자의 포도원을 지나며 본즉
And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down.31 And it was all full of thorns, and covered with waste plants, and its stone wall was broken down.31 가시덤불이 퍼졌으며 거친 풀이 지면에 덮였고 돌담이 무너졌기로
Then I saw, and considered it well : I looked upon it, and received instruction.32 Then looking at it, I gave thought: I saw, and I got teaching from it.32 내가 보고 생각이 깊었고 내가 보고 훈계를 받았었노라
Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:33 A little sleep, a little rest, a little folding of the hands in sleep:33 네가 좀더 자자, 좀더 졸자, 손을 모으고 좀더 눕자 하니 네 빈궁이 강도 같이 오며
So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man.34 So loss will come on you like an outlaw, and your need like an armed man.34 네 곤핍이 군사 같이 이르리라
