KJV BBE KRV 1 When thou sittest to eat with a ruler , consider diligently what is before thee:1 When you take your seat at the feast with a ruler, give thought with care to what is before you;1 네가 관원과 함께 앉아 음식을 먹게 되거든 삼가 네 앞에 있는 자가 누구인지 생각하며2 And put a knife to thy throat , if thou be a man given to appetite .2 And put a knife to your throat, if you have a strong desire for food.2 네가 만일 탐식자여든 네 목에 칼을 둘 것이니라3 Be not desirous of his dainties : for they are deceitful meat .3 Have no desire for his delicate food, for it is the bread of deceit.3 그 진찬을 탐하지 말라 그것은 간사하게 베푼 식물이니라4 Labour not to be rich : cease from thine own wisdom .4 Take no care to get wealth; let there be an end to your desire for money.4 부자 되기에 애쓰지 말고 네 사사로운 지혜를 버릴찌어다5 Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings ; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven .5 Are your eyes lifted up to it? it is gone: for wealth takes to itself wings, like an eagle in flight up to heaven.5 네가 어찌 허무한 것에 주목하겠느냐 정녕히 재물은 날개를 내어 하늘에 나는 독수리처럼 날아가리라6 Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an evil eye , neither desire thou his dainty meats :6 Do not take the food of him who has an evil eye, or have any desire for his delicate meat:6 악한 눈이 있는 자의 음식을 먹지 말며 그 진찬을 탐하지 말찌어다7 For as he thinketh in his heart , so is he: Eat and drink , saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.7 For as the thoughts of his heart are, so is he: Take food and drink, he says to you; but his heart is not with you.7 대저 그 마음의 생각이 어떠하면 그 위인도 그러한즉 그가 너더러 먹고 마시라 할지라도 그 마음은 너와 함께하지 아니함이라8 The morsel which thou hast eaten shalt thou vomit up , and lose thy sweet words .8 The food which you have taken will come up again, and your pleasing words will be wasted.8 네가 조금 먹은 것도 토하겠고 네 아름다운 말도 헛된데로 돌아가리라9 Speak not in the ears of a fool : for he will despise the wisdom of thy words .9 Say nothing in the hearing of a foolish man, for he will put no value on the wisdom of your words.9 미련한 자의 귀에 말하지 말지니 이는 그가 네 지혜로운 말을 업신여길 것임이니라10 Remove not the old landmark ; and enter not into the fields of the fatherless :10 Do not let the landmark of the widow be moved, and do not go into the fields of those who have no father;10 옛 지계석을 옮기지 말며 외로운 자식의 밭을 침범하지 말지어다11 For their redeemer is mighty ; he shall plead their cause with thee.11 For their saviour is strong, and he will take up their cause against you.11 대저 그들의 구속자는 강하시니 너를 대적하사 그 원을 펴시리라12 Apply thine heart unto instruction , and thine ears to the words of knowledge .12 Give your heart to teaching, and your ears to the words of knowledge.12 훈계에 착심하며 지식의 말씀에 귀를 기울이라13 Withhold not correction from the child : for if thou beatest him with the rod , he shall not die .13 Do not keep back training from the child: for even if you give him blows with the rod, it will not be death to him.13 아이를 훈계하지 아니치 말라 채찍으로 그를 때릴지라도 죽지 아니하리라14 Thou shalt beat him with the rod , and shalt deliver his soul from hell .14 Give him blows with the rod, and keep his soul safe from the underworld.14 그를 채찍으로 때리면 그 영혼을 음부에서 구원하리라15 My son , if thine heart be wise , my heart shall rejoice , even mine .15 My son, if your heart becomes wise, I, even I, will be glad in heart;15 내 아들아 만일 네 마음이 지혜로우면 나 곧 내 마음이 즐겁겠고16 Yea, my reins shall rejoice , when thy lips speak right things .16 And my thoughts in me will be full of joy when your lips say right things.16 만일 네 입술이 정직을 말하면 내 속이 유쾌하리라17 Let not thine heart envy sinners : but be thou in the fear of the LORD all the day long.17 Have no envy of sinners in your heart, but keep in the fear of the Lord all through the day;17 네 마음으로 죄인의 형통을 부러워하지 말고 항상 여호와를 경외하라18 For surely there is an end ; and thine expectation shall not be cut off .18 For without doubt there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off.18 정녕히 네 장래가 있겠고 네 소망이 끊어지지 아니하리라19 Hear thou, my son , and be wise , and guide thine heart in the way .19 Give ear, my son, and be wise, guiding your heart in the right way.19 내 아들아 너는 듣고 지혜를 얻어 네 마음을 정로로 인도할지니라20 Be not among winebibbers ㆍ ; among riotous eaters of flesh :20 Do not be among those who give themselves to wine-drinking, or among those who make themselves full with meat:20 술을 즐겨하는 자와 고기를 탐하는 자로 더불어 사귀지 말라21 For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty : and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags .21 For those who take delight in drink and feasting will come to be in need; and through love of sleep a man will be poorly clothed.21 술 취하고 탐식하는 자는 가난하여질 것이요 잠 자기를 즐겨하는 자는 해어진 옷을 입을 것임이니라22 Hearken unto thy father that begat thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old .22 Give ear to your father whose child you are, and do not keep honour from your mother when she is old.22 너 낳은 아비에게 청종하고 네 늙은 어미를 경히 여기지 말지니라23 Buy the truth , and sell it not; also wisdom , and instruction , and understanding .23 Get for yourself that which is true, and do not let it go for money; get wisdom and teaching and good sense.23 진리를 사고서 팔지 말며 지혜와 훈계와 명철도 그리할지니라24 The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice : and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him.24 The father of the upright man will be glad, and he who has a wise child will have joy because of him.24 의인의 아비는 크게 즐거울 것이요 지혜로운 자식을 낳은 자는 그를 인하여 즐거울 것이니라25 Thy father and thy mother shall be glad , and she that bare thee shall rejoice .25 Let your father and your mother be glad, let her who gave you birth have joy.25 네 부모를 즐겁게 하며 너 낳은 어미를 기쁘게 하라26 My son , give me thine heart , and let thine eyes observe ㆍ my ways .26 My son, give me your heart, and let your eyes take delight in my ways.26 내 아들아 네 마음을 내게 주며 네 눈으로 내 길을 즐거워할지어다27 For a whore is a deep ditch ; and a strange woman is a narrow pit .27 For a loose woman is a deep hollow, and a strange woman is a narrow water-hole.27 대저 음녀는 깊은 구렁이요 이방 여인은 좁은 함정이라28 She also lieth in wait as for a prey , and increaseth the transgressors among men .28 Yes, she is waiting secretly like a beast for its food, and deceit by her is increased among men.28 그는 강도 같이 매복하며 인간에 궤사한 자가 많아지게 하느니라29 Who hath woe ? who hath sorrow ? who hath contentions ㆍ ? who hath babbling ? who hath wounds without cause ? who hath redness of eyes ?29 Who says, Oh! who says, Ah! who has violent arguments, who has grief, who has wounds without cause, whose eyes are dark?29 재앙이 뉘게 있느뇨 근심이 뉘게 있느뇨 분쟁이 뉘게 있느뇨 원망이 뉘게 있느뇨 까닭 없는 창상이 뉘게 있느뇨 붉은 눈이 뉘게 있느뇨30 They that tarry long at the wine ; they that go to seek mixed wine .30 Those who are seated late over the wine: those who go looking for mixed wine.30 술에 잠긴 자에게 있고 혼합한 술을 구하러 다니는 자에게 있느니라31 Look not thou upon the wine when it is red , when it giveth his colour in the cup ㆍ , when it moveth itself aright .31 Keep your eyes from looking on the wine when it is red, when its colour is bright in the cup, when it goes smoothly down:31 포도주는 붉고 잔에서 번쩍이며 순하게 내려가나니 너는 그것을 보지도 말지어다32 At the last it biteth like a serpent , and stingeth like an adder .32 In the end, its bite is like that of a snake, its wound like the wound of a poison-snake.32 이것이 마침내 뱀 같이 물 것이요 독사 같이 쏠 것이며33 Thine eyes shall behold strange women , and thine heart shall utter perverse things .33 Your eyes will see strange things, and you will say twisted things.33 또 네 눈에는 괴이한 것이 보일 것이요 네 마음은 망령된 것을 발할 것이며34 Yea, thou shalt be as he that lieth down in the midst of the sea , or as he that lieth upon the top of a mast .34 Yes, you will be like him who takes his rest on the sea, or on the top of a sail-support.34 너는 바다 가운데 누운 자 같을 것이요 돛대 위에 누운 자 같을 것이며35 They have stricken me, shalt thou say, and I was not sick ; they have beaten me, and I felt it not: when shall I awake ? I will seek it yet again.35 They have overcome me, you will say, and I have no pain; they gave me blows without my feeling them: when will I be awake from my wine? I will go after it again.35 네가 스스로 말하기를 사람이 나를 때려도 나는 아프지 아니하고 나를 상하게 하여도 내게 감각이 없도다 내가 언제나 깰까 다시 술을 찾겠다 하리라
