1 And the Lord said to Moses,
1 여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
2Speak unto the children of Israel, and take of every one of them a rodaccording to the house of theirfathers, of all their princes according to the house of their fatherstwelveㆍrods: write thou every man'sname upon his rod.[x]MKJV: Speak to the sons of Israel, and take a rod from each of them for a father's house, of all their rulers, for their fathers' house, twelve rods. Write every man's name upon his rod. BBE: Say to the children of Israel that they are to give you rods, one for every family, for every chief, the head of his father's house, making twelve rods; let every man's name be placed on his rod. KAV: 이스라엘 자손에게 말하고 그들의 조상들의 집에 따라 그들 각 사람에게서 막대기 하나씩을 취하되 곧 그들의 조상들의 집에 따라 그들의 모든 통치자에게서 막대기 열두 개를 취하라. 또 너는 각 사람의 막대기에 그 사람의 이름을 쓰되 TSK: all the princes: nu 1:5-16, nu 2:3-30, nu 10:14-27; twelve rods: ge 49:10, ex 4:2,17, ps 110:2, ps 125:3, eze 19:14, eze 21:10,13, eze 37:16-20, mic 7:14
2 Say to the children of Israel that they are to give you rods, one for every family, for every chief, the head of his father's house, making twelve rods; let every man's name be placed on his rod.
2 너는 이스라엘 자손에게 고하여 그들 중에서 각 종족을 따라 지팡이 하나씩 취하되 곧 그들의 종족대로 그 모든 족장에게서 지팡이 열 둘을 취하고 그 사람들의 이름을 각각 그 지팡이에 쓰되
3 And thou shalt writeAaron'sname upon the rod of Levi: for onerodshall be for the head of the house of their fathers.[x]MKJV: And you shall write Aaron's name upon the rod of Levi. For one rod [shall be] for the head of the house of their fathers. BBE: And let Aaron's name be placed on the rod of Levi: for there is to be one rod for the head of every family. KAV: 레위의 막대기에는 아론의 이름을 쓸지니 그들의 조상들의 집의 우두머리를 위하여 한 막대기가 있어야 하리라. 3 And let Aaron's name be placed on the rod of Levi: for there is to be one rod for the head of every family.

4 And thou shalt lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregationbefore the testimony, where I will meet with you.[x]MKJV: And you shall lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you. BBE: And let them be stored up in the Tent of meeting, in front of the ark of witness where I come to you. KAV: 너는 회중의 성막 안에서 내가 너희와 만날 곳인 증언 앞에 그 막대기들을 둘지니라. 4 And let them be stored up in the Tent of meeting, in front of the ark of witness where I come to you.

5 And it shall come to pass, that the man'srod, whom I shall choose, shall blossom: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you.[x]MKJV: And it shall be, the rod of the man whom I shall choose shall blossom. And I will make to cease from Me the murmurings of the sons of Israel by which they murmur against you. BBE: And the rod of that man who is marked out by me for myself will have buds on it; so I will put a stop to the outcries which the children of Israel make to me against you. KAV: 내가 택할 사람의 막대기가 싹을 내리니 이로써 내가 이스라엘 자손이 불평하는 것 즉 그들이 너희에게 불평하는 말이 내 앞에서 그치게 하리라. 5 And the rod of that man who is marked out by me for myself will have buds on it; so I will put a stop to the outcries which the children of Israel make to me against you.
5 내가 택한 자의 지팡이에는 싹이 나리니 이것으로 이스라엘 자손이 너희를 대하여 원망하는 말을 내 앞에서 그치게 하리라
6 And Mosesspake unto the children of Israel, and every one of their princesgave him a rodapiece, for each princeㆍoneㆍ, according to their fathershouses, eventwelveㆍrods: and the rod of Aaronwasamong their rods.[x]MKJV: And Moses spoke to the sons of Israel, and all their rulers gave to him a rod, for each ruler, one rod for each ruler, for their father's house, twelve rods. And the rod of Aaron [was] among their rods. BBE: So Moses gave these orders to the children of Israel, and all their chiefs gave him rods, one for the head of every family, making twelve rods: and Aaron's rod was among them. KAV: ¶ 모세가 이스라엘 자손에게 말하매 그들의 통치자들이 각각 자기들의 조상들의 집들에 따라 각각의 통치자에 대해 막대기를 하나씩 취하여 그에게 주었으니 곧 열두 막대기더라. 그 막대기들 가운데 아론의 막대기가 있더라.
6 So Moses gave these orders to the children of Israel, and all their chiefs gave him rods, one for the head of every family, making twelve rods: and Aaron's rod was among them.
6 모세가 이스라엘 자손에게 고하매 그 족장들이 각기 종족대로 지팡이 하나씩 그에게 주었으니 그 지팡이 합이 열 둘이라 그 중에 아론의 지팡이가 있었더라
7 And Moses laid up the rodsbefore the LORD in the tabernacle of witness.[x]MKJV: And Moses laid up the rods before the LORD in the tabernacle of witness. BBE: And Moses put the rods before the Lord in the Tent of witness. KAV: 모세가 그 막대기들을 증거의 성막 안에 {주} 앞에 두니라. 7 And Moses put the rods before the Lord in the Tent of witness.
7 모세가 그 지팡이들을 증거의 장막 안 여호와 앞에 두었더라
8 And it came to pass, that on the morrowMoseswent into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forthbuds, and bloomedblossoms, and yieldedalmonds.[x]MKJV: And it happened on the next day Moses went into the tabernacle of witness. And behold! The rod of Aaron for the house of Levi had budded and had brought forth buds, and had bloomed blossoms, and had yielded almonds. BBE: Now on the day after, Moses went into the Tent of witness; and he saw that Aaron's rod, the rod of the house of Levi, had put out buds, and was covered with buds and flowers and fruit. 8 Now on the day after, Moses went into the Tent of witness; and he saw that Aaron's rod, the rod of the house of Levi, had put out buds, and was covered with buds and flowers and fruit.
8 이튿날 모세가 증거의 장막에 들어가 본즉 레위 집을 위하여 낸 아론의 지팡이에 움이 돋고 순이 나고 꽃이 피어서 살구 열매가 열렸더라
9 And Moses brought out all the rods from before the LORD unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.[x]MKJV: And Moses brought out all the rods from before the LORD to all the sons of Israel. And they looked, and each one took his rod. BBE: Then Moses took out all the rods from before the Lord, and gave them back to the children of Israel: and they saw them, and every man took his rod. KAV: 모세가 그 막대기 모두를 {주} 앞에서 취하여 온 이스라엘 자손에게로 가져오매 그들이 보고 저마다 자기의 막대기를 취하니라.
9 Then Moses took out all the rods from before the Lord, and gave them back to the children of Israel: and they saw them, and every man took his rod.
9 모세가 그 지팡이 전부를 여호와 앞에서 이스라엘 모든 자손에게로 취하여 내매 그들이 보고 각각 자기 지팡이를 취하였더라
10 And the LORDsaid unto Moses, BringAaron'srodagainbefore the testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebelsㆍ; and thou shalt quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not.[x]MKJV: And the LORD said to Moses, Bring Aaron's rod again before the testimony, to be kept as a token against the rebels. And you shall completely take away their murmurings from Me so that they do not die. BBE: And the Lord said to Moses, Put Aaron's rod back in front of the ark of witness, to be kept for a sign against this false-hearted people, so that you may put a stop to their outcries against me, and death may not overtake them. 10 And the Lord said to Moses, Put Aaron's rod back in front of the ark of witness, to be kept for a sign against this false-hearted people, so that you may put a stop to their outcries against me, and death may not overtake them.
10 여호와께서 또 모세에게 이르시되 아론의 지팡이는 증거궤 앞으로 도로 가져다가 거기 간직하여 패역한 자에 대한 표징이 되게 하여 그들로 내게 대한 원망을 그치고 죽지 않게 할찌니라
11 And Mosesdidso: as the LORDcommanded him, so did he.[x]MKJV: And Moses did as the LORD commanded him, so he did. BBE: This Moses did: as the Lord gave orders, so he did. KAV: 모세가 그와 같이 행하되 {주}께서 자기에게 명령하신 대로 행하였더라.
11 This Moses did: as the Lord gave orders, so he did.
11 모세가 곧 그 같이 하되 여호와께서 자기에게 명하신대로 하였더라
12 And the children of Israelspake unto Moses, saying, Behold, we die, we perish, we all perish.[x]MKJV: And the sons of Israel spoke to Moses saying, Behold, we die, we perish, we all perish. BBE: And the children of Israel said to Moses, Truly, destruction has come on us; an evil fate has overtaken us all. KAV: 이스라엘 자손이 모세에게 말하여 이르되, 보소서, 우리가 죽게 되었나이다. 망하게 되었나이다. 다 망하게 되었나이다. 12 And the children of Israel said to Moses, Truly, destruction has come on us; an evil fate has overtaken us all.
