3 And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?3 They came together against Moses and against Aaron, and said to them, You take overmuch on yourselves, seeing that all the people are holy, every one of them, and the Lord is among them; why then have you put yourselves in authority over the people of the Lord?3 그들이 모여서 모세와 아론을 거스려 그들에게 이르되 너희가 분수에 지나도다 회중이 다 각각 거룩하고 여호와께서도 그들 중에 계시거늘 너희가 어찌하여 여호와의 총회 위에 스스로 높이느뇨
4 And when Moses heard it, he fell upon his face:4 And Moses, hearing this, went down on his face;4 모세가 듣고 엎드렸다가
5 And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow the LORD will show who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him.5 And he said to Korah and his band, In the morning the Lord will make clear who are his, and who is holy, and who may come near him: the man of his selection will be caused to come near him.5 고라와 그 모든 무리에게 말하여 가로되 아침에 여호와께서 자기에게 속한 자가 누구인지, 거룩한 자가 누구인지 보이시고 그 자를 자기에게 가까이 나아오게 하시되 곧 그가 택하신 자를 자기에게 가까이 나아오게 하시리니
6 This do; Take you censers, Korah, and all his company;6 So do this: let Korah and all his band take vessels for burning perfumes;6 이렇게 하라 너 고라와 너의 모든 무리는 향로를 취하고
7 And put fire therein, and put incense in them before the LORD to morrow: and it shall be that the man whom the LORD doth choose, he shall be holy: ye take too much upon you, ye sons of Levi.7 And put spices on the fire in them before the Lord tomorrow; then the man marked out by the Lord will be holy: you take overmuch on yourselves, you sons of Levi.7 내일 여호와 앞에서 그 향로에 불을 담고 그 위에 향을 두라 그 때에 여호와의 택하신 자는 거룩하게 되리라 레위 자손들아 너희가 너무 분수에 지나치느니라
8 And Moses said unto Korah, Hear, I pray you, ye sons of Levi:8 And Moses said to Korah, Give ear now, you sons of Levi:8 모세가 또 고라에게 이르되 너희 레위 자손들아 들으라
9 Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them?9 Does it seem only a small thing to you that the God of Israel has made you separate from the rest of Israel, letting you come near himself to do the work of the House of the Lord, and to take your place before the people to do what has to be done for them;9 이스라엘의 하나님이 이스라엘 회중에서 너희를 구별하여 자기에게 가까이 하게 하사 여호와의 성막에서 봉사하게 하시며 회중 앞에 서서 그들을 대신하여 섬기게 하심이 너희에게 작은 일이겠느냐
10 And he hath brought thee near to him, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee: and seek ye the priesthood also?10 Letting you, and all your brothers the sons of Levi, come near to him? and would you now be priests?10 하나님이 너와 네 모든 형제 레위 자손으로 너와 함께 가까이 오게 하신 것이 작은 일이 아니어늘 너희가 오히려 제사장의 직분을 구하느냐
11 For which cause both thou and all thy company are gathered together against the LORD: and what is Aaron, that ye murmur against him?11 So you and all your band have come together against the Lord; and Aaron, who is he, that you are crying out against him?11 이를 위하여 너와 너의 무리가 다 모여서 여호와를 거스리는도다 아론은 어떠한 사람이관대 너희가 그를 원망하느냐
12 And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab: which said, We will not come up:12 Then Moses sent for Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab: and they said, We will not come up:12 모세가 엘리압의 아들 다단과 아비람을 부르러 보내었더니 그들이 가로되 우리는 올라가지 않겠노라
13 Is it a small thing that thou hast brought us up out of a land that floweth with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except thou make thyself altogether a prince over us?13 Is it not enough that you have taken us from a land flowing with milk and honey, to put us to death in the waste land, but now you are desiring to make yourself a chief over us?13 네가 우리를 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅에서 이끌어 내어 광야에서 죽이려 함이 어찌 작은 일이기에 오히려 스스로 우리 위에 왕이 되려 하느냐
14 Moreover thou hast not brought us into a land that floweth with milk and honey, or given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: wilt thou put out the eyes of these men? we will not come up.14 And more than this, you have not taken us into a land flowing with milk and honey, or given us a heritage of fields and vine-gardens: will you put out the eyes of these men? We will not come up.14 이뿐 아니라 네가 우리를 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅으로 인도하여 들이지도 아니하고 밭도 포도원도 우리에게 기업으로 주지 아니하니 네가 이 사람들의 눈을 빼려느냐 우리는 올라가지 아니하겠노라
15 And Moses was very wroth, and said unto the LORD, Respect not thou their offering: I have not taken one ass from them, neither have I hurt one of them.15 Then Moses was very angry, and said to the Lord, Give no attention to their offering: not one of their asses have I taken, or done wrong to any of them.15 모세가 심히 노하여 여호와께 여짜오되 주는 그들의 예물을 돌아보지 마옵소서 나는 그들의 한 나귀도 취하지 아니하였고 그들의 한 사람도 해하지 아니하였나이다 하고
16 And Moses said unto Korah, Be thou and all thy company before the LORD, thou, and they, and Aaron, to morrow:16 And Moses said to Korah, You and all your band are to come before the Lord tomorrow, you and they and Aaron:16 이에 고라에게 이르되 너와 너의 온 무리는 아론과 함께 내일 여호와 앞으로 나아오되
17 And take every man his censer, and put incense in them, and bring ye before the LORD every man his censer, two hundred and fifty censers; thou also, and Aaron, each of you his censer.17 And let every man take a vessel for burning perfumes, and put sweet spices in them; let every man take his vessel before the Lord, two hundred and fifty vessels; you and Aaron and everyone with his vessel.17 너희는 각기 향로를 잡고 그 위에 향을 두고 각 사람이 그 향로를 여호와 앞으로 가져오라 향로는 모두 이백 오십이라 너와 아론도 각각 향로를 가지고 올찌니라
18 And they took every man his censer, and put fire in them, and laid incense thereon, and stood in the door of the tabernacle of the congregation with Moses and Aaron.18 So every man took his vessel and they put fire in them, with spices, and came to the door of the Tent of meeting with Moses and Aaron.18 그들이 각기 향로를 취하여 불을 담고 향을 그 위에 두고 모세와 아론으로 더불어 회막문에 서니라
19 And Korah gathered all the congregation against them unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the congregation.19 And Korah made all the people come together against them to the door of the Tent of meeting: and the glory of the Lord was seen by all the people.19 고라가 온 회중을 회막문에 모아 놓고 그 두 사람을 대적하려 하매 여호와의 영광이 온 회중에게 나타나시니라
20 And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,20 And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron,20 여호와께서 모세와 아론에게 일러 가라사대
21 Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.21 Come out from among this people, so that I may send sudden destruction on them.21 너희는 이 회중에게서 떠나라 내가 순식간에 그들을 멸하려 하노라
22 And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?22 Then falling down on their faces they said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, because of one man's sin will your wrath be moved against all the people?22 그 두 사람이 엎드려 가로되 하나님이여 모든 육체의 생명의 하나님이여 한 사람이 범죄하였거늘 온 회중에게 진노하시나이까
23 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,23 And the Lord said to Moses,23 여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
24 Speak unto the congregation, saying, Get you up from about the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.24 Say to the people, Come away from the tent of Korah Dathan, and Abiram.24 회중에게 명하여 이르기를 너희는 고라와 다단과 아비람의 장막 사면에서 떠나라 하라
25 And Moses rose up and went unto Dathan and Abiram; and the elders of Israel followed him.25 So Moses got up and went to Dathan and Abiram, and the responsible men of Israel went with him.25 모세가 일어나 다단과 아비람에게로 가니 이스라엘 장로들이 좇았더라
26 And he spake unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest ye be consumed in all their sins.26 And he said to the people, Come away now from the tents of these evil men, without touching anything of theirs, or you may be taken in the punishment of their sins.26 모세가 회중에게 일러 가로되 이 악인들의 장막에서 떠나고 그들의 물건은 아무 것도 만지지 말라 그들의 모든 죄중에서 너희도 멸망할까 두려워 하노라 하매
27 So they gat up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side: and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little children.27 So on every side they went away from the tent of Korah Dathan, and Abiram: and Dathan and Abiram came out to the door of their tents, with their wives and their sons and their little ones.27 무리가 고라와 다단과 아비람의 장막 사면을 떠나고 다단과 아비람은 그 처자와 유아들과 함께 나와서 자기 장막문에 선지라
28 And Moses said, Hereby ye shall know that the LORD hath sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind.28 And Moses said, Now you will see that the Lord has sent me to do all these works, and I have not done them of myself.28 모세가 가로되 여호와께서 나를 보내사 이 모든 일을 행케 하신 것이요 나의 임의로 함이 아닌줄을 이 일로 인하여 알리라
29 If these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men; then the LORD hath not sent me.29 If these men have the common death of men, or if the natural fate of all men overtakes them, then the Lord has not sent me.29 곧 이 사람들의 죽음이 모든 사람과 일반이요 그들의 당하는 벌이 모든 사람의 당하는 벌과 일반이면 여호와께서 나를 보내심이 아니어니와
30 But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD.30 But if the Lord does something new, opening the earth to take them in, with everything which is theirs, and they go down living into the underworld, then it will be clear to you that the Lord has not been honoured by these men.30 만일 여호와께서 새 일을 행하사 땅으로 입을 열어 이 사람들과 그들의 모든 소속을 삼켜 산채로 음부에 빠지게 하시면 이 사람들이 과연 여호와를 멸시한 것인줄을 너희가 알리라
31 And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them:31 And while these words were on his lips, the earth under them was parted in two;31 이 모든 말을 마치는 동시에 그들의 밑의 땅이 갈라지니라
32 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods.32 And the earth, opening her mouth, took them in, with their families, and all the men who were joined to Korah, and their goods.32 땅이 그 입을 열어 그들과 그 가족과 고라에게 속한 모든 사람과 그 물건을 삼키매
33 They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation.33 So they and all theirs went down living into the underworld, and the earth was shut over them, and they were cut off from among the meeting of the people.33 그들과 그 모든 소속이 산채로 음부에 빠지며 땅이 그 위에 합하니 그들이 총회 중에서 망하니라
34 And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up also.34 And all Israel round about them went in flight at their cry, For fear, said they, that we go down into the heart of the earth.34 그 주위에 있는 온 이스라엘이 그들의 부르짖음을 듣고 도망하며 가로되 땅이 우리도 삼킬까 두렵다 하였고
35 And there came out a fire from the LORD, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense.35 Then fire came out from the Lord, burning up the two hundred and fifty men who were offering the perfume.35 여호와께로서 불이 나와서 분향하는 이백 오십인을 소멸하였더라
36 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,36 And the Lord said to Moses,36 여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
37 Speak unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he take up the censers out of the burning, and scatter thou the fire yonder; for they are hallowed.37 Say to Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, that he is to take out of the flames the vessels with the perfumes in them, turning the fire out of them, for they are holy;37 너는 제사장 아론의 아들 엘르아살을 명하여 붙는 불 가운데서 향로를 취하여다가 그 불을 타처에 쏟으라 그 향로는 거룩함이니라
38 The censers of these sinners against their own souls, let them make them broad plates for a covering of the altar: for they offered them before the LORD, therefore they are hallowed: and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel.38 And let the vessels of those men, who with their lives have made payment for their sin, be hammered out into plates as a cover for the altar; for they have been offered before the Lord and are holy; so that they may be a sign to the children of Israel.38 사람들은 범죄하여 그 생명을 스스로 해하였거니와 그들이 향로를 여호와 앞에 드렸으므로 그 향로가 거룩하게 되었나니 그 향로를 쳐서 제단을 싸는 편철을 만들라 이스라엘 자손에게 표가 되리라 하신지라
39 And Eleazar the priest took the brazen censers, wherewith they that were burnt had offered; and they were made broad plates for a covering of the altar:39 So Eleazar the priest took the brass vessels which had been offered by those who were burned up, and they were hammered out to make a cover for the altar:39 제사장 엘르아살이 불탄 자들의 드렸던 놋 향로를 취하여 쳐서 제단을 싸서
40 To be a memorial unto the children of Israel, that no stranger ㆍ, which is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to offer incense before the LORD; that he be not as Korah, and as his company: as the LORD said to him by the hand of Moses.40 To be a sign, kept in memory for ever by the children of Israel, that no man who is not of the seed of Aaron has the right of burning spices before the Lord, so that he may not be like Korah and his band: as the Lord said to him by the mouth of Moses.40 이스라엘 자손의 기념물이 되게 하였으니 이는 아론 자손이 아닌 외인은 여호와 앞에 분향하러 가까이 오지 못하게 함이며 또 고라와 그 무리와 같이 되지 않게 하기 위함이라 여호와께서 모세로 그에게 명하신대로 하였더라
41 But on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of the LORD.41 But on the day after, all the children of Israel made an outcry against Moses and against Aaron, saying, You have put to death the Lord's people.41 이튿날 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중이 모세와 아론을 원망하여 가로되 너희가 여호와의 백성을 죽였도다 하고
42 And it came to pass, when the congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the LORD appeared.42 Now when the people had come together against Moses and Aaron, looking in the direction of the Tent of meeting, they saw the cloud covering it, and the glory of the Lord came before their eyes.42 회중이 모여 모세와 아론을 칠 때에 회막을 바라본즉 구름이 회막을 덮었고 여호와의 영광이 나타났더라
43 And Moses and Aaron came before the tabernacle of the congregation.43 Then Moses and Aaron came to the front of the Tent of meeting.43 모세와 아론이 회막 앞에 이르매
44 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,44 And the Lord said to Moses,44 여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
45 Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment. And they fell upon their faces.45 Come out from among this people, so that I may send sudden destruction on them. And they went down on their faces.45 너희는 이 회중에게서 떠나라 내가 순식간에 그들을 멸하려 하노라 하시매 그 두 사람이 엎드리니라
46 And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the LORD; the plague is begun.46 And Moses said to Aaron, Take your vessel and put in it fire from the altar, and sweet spices, and take it quickly into the meeting of the people, and make them free from sin: for wrath has gone out from the Lord, and the disease is starting.46 이에 모세가 아론에게 이르되 너는 향로를 취하고 단의 불을 그것에 담고 그 위에 향을 두어가지고 급히 회중에게로 가서 그들을 위하여 속죄하라 여호와께서 진노하셨으므로 염병이 시작되었음이니라
47 And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people.47 And at the words of Moses, Aaron took his vessel, and went running among the people; and even then the disease had made a start among them; and he put spices in his vessel to take away the sin of the people.47 아론이 모세의 명을 좇아 향로를 가지고 회중에게로 달려 간즉 백성 중에 염병이 시작되었는지라 이에 백성을 위하여 속죄하고
48 And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.48 And he took his place between the dead and the living: and the disease was stopped.48 죽은 자와 산 자 사이에 섰을 때에 염병이 그치니라
49 Now they that died in the plague were fourteen ㆍ thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died about the matter of Korah.49 Now fourteen thousand, seven hundred deaths were caused by that disease, in addition to those who came to their end because of what Korah had done.49 고라의 일로 죽은 자 외에 염병에 죽은 자가 일만 사천 칠백명이었더라
50 And Aaron returned unto Moses unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the plague was stayed.50 Then Aaron went back to Moses to the door of the Tent of meeting: and the disease came to a stop.50 염병이 그치매 아론이 회막문 모세에게로 돌아오니라
