2 이스라엘 자손이 다 모세와 아론을 원망하며 온 회중이 그들에게 이르되 우리가 애굽 땅에서 죽었거나 이 광야에서 죽었더면 좋았을 것을
3 And wherefore hath the LORDbrought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?[x]MKJV: And why has the LORD brought us into this land to fall by the sword, so that our wives and our sons should be a prey? Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt? BBE: Why is the Lord taking us into this land to come to our death by the sword? Our wives and our little ones will get into strange hands: would it not be better for us to go back to Egypt? 3 Why is the Lord taking us into this land to come to our death by the sword? Our wives and our little ones will get into strange hands: would it not be better for us to go back to Egypt?

7 And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceedingㆍgoodland.[x]MKJV: And they spoke to all the company of the [sons] of Israel saying, The land which we passed through to search is an exceedingly good land. 7 Said to all the children of Israel, This land which we went through to see is a very good land.

8 If the LORDdelight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey.[x]MKJV: If the LORD delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, a land which flows with milk and honey. 9 Only, do not go against the Lord or go in fear of the people of the land, for they will be our food; their strength has been taken from them and the Lord is with us: have no fear of them.
9 오직 여호와를 거역하지 말라 또 그 땅 백성을 두려워하지 말라 그들은 우리 밥이라 그들의 보호자는 그들에게서 떠났고 여호와는 우리와 함께 하시느니라 그들을 두려워 말라 하나
10 But all the congregationbadestone them with stones. And the glory of the LORDappeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel.[x]MKJV: But all the congregation said to stone them with stones. And the glory of Jehovah appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the sons of Israel. BBE: But all the people said they were to be stoned. 10 But all the people said they were to be stoned. Then the glory of the Lord was seen in the Tent of meeting, before the eyes of all the children of Israel.

11 And the LORDsaid unto Moses, How long will this peopleprovoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have showedamong them?[x]MKJV: And Jehovah said to Moses, How long will this people provoke Me? And how long will it be before they believe Me, for all the signs which I have shown among them? BBE: And the Lord said to Moses, How long will this people have no respect for me? how long will they be without faith, in the face of all the signs I have done among them? 11 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 이 백성이 어느 때까지 나를 멸시하겠느냐 내가 그들 중에 모든 이적을 행한 것도 생각하지 아니하고 어느 때까지 나를 믿지 않겠느냐
12 I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of thee a greaternation and mightier than they.[x]MKJV: I will strike them with the pestilence and will disinherit them, and will make of you a greater nation and mightier than they. BBE: I will send disease on them for their destruction, and take away their heritage, and I will make of you a nation greater and stronger than they. 12 I will send disease on them for their destruction, and take away their heritage, and I will make of you a nation greater and stronger than they.

13 And Mosessaid unto the LORD, Then the Egyptians shall hearit, (for thou broughtest up this people in thy might from among them;)[x]MKJV: And Moses said to Jehovah, Then the Egyptians will hear, for You have brought up this people in Your might from among them. 14 And they will tellit to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that thou LORDartamong this people, that thou LORD art seenface to face, and that thy cloudstandeth over them, and that thou goestbefore them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night.[x]MKJV: And they will say to the inhabitant of this land. They have heard that You, LORD, [are] among this people, who is seen eye to eye. You [are] Jehovah, and Your cloud stands over them, and You go before them in a pillar of cloud by day, and in a pillar of fire by night. BBE: And they will give the news to the people of this land: they have had word that you, Lord, are present with this people, letting yourself be seen face to face, and that your cloud is resting over them, and that you go before them in a pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night. 14 이 땅 거민에게 고하리이다 주 여호와께서 이 백성 중에 계심을 그들도 들었으니 곧 주 여호와께서 대면하여 보이시며 주의 구름이 그들 위에 섰으며 주께서 낮에는 구름기둥 가운데서, 밤에는 불기둥 가운데서 그들 앞에서 행하시는 것이니이다
15 Now if thou shalt killall this people as oneman, then the nations which have heard the fame of thee will speak, saying,[x]MKJV: And will you kill this people as one man? Then the nations who have heard Your fame will speak, saying, BBE: Now if you put to death all this people as one man, then the nations who have had word of your glory will say, KAV: ¶ 이제 주께서 이 모든 백성을 한 사람같이 죽이시면 주의 명성을 들은 민족들이 말하여 이르기를, TSK: Now if thou shalt kill all this people as one man, then the nations which have heard the fame of thee will speak, saying,: jud 6:16
15 Now if you put to death all this people as one man, then the nations who have had word of your glory will say,
15 이제 주께서 이 백성을 한 사람 같이 죽이시면 주의 명성을 들은 열국이 말하여 이르기를
16 Because the LORD was notable to bring this people into the land which he sware unto them, therefore he hath slain them in the wilderness.[x]MKJV: Because Jehovah was not able to bring this people into the land which He swore to them, therefore He has slain them in the wilderness. BBE: Because the Lord was not able to take this people into the land which he made an oath to give them, he sent destruction on them in the waste land. KAV: {주}가 이 백성에게 주기로 맹세한 땅으로 그들을 데리고 들어갈 능력이 없으므로 그들을 광야에서 죽였다, 하리이다. 16 Because the Lord was not able to take this people into the land which he made an oath to give them, he sent destruction on them in the waste land.

17 And now, I beseech thee, let the power of my LORD be great, according as thou hast spoken, saying,[x]MKJV: And now, I beseech You, let the power of my Lord be great, according as You have spoken, saying, BBE: So now, may my prayer come before you, and let the power of the Lord be great, as you said: KAV: 이제 간청하옵나니 이미 주께서 말씀하신 대로 내 [주]의 권능을 크게 나타내옵소서. 이르시기를, TSK: And now, I beseech thee, let the power of my Lord be great, according as thou hast spoken, saying,: mic 3:8, mt 9:6,8
17 So now, may my prayer come before you, and let the power of the Lord be great, as you said:
17 이제 구하옵나니 이미 말씀하신대로 주의 큰 권능을 나타내옵소서 이르시기를
18 The LORDislongsufferingㆍ, and of greatmercy, forgivinginiquity and transgression, and by no meansclearingthe guilty,visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourthgeneration.[x]MKJV: The LORD [is] long-suffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing [the guilty], visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons to the third and fourth [generation]. BBE: The Lord is slow to wrath and great in mercy, overlooking wrongdoing and evil, and will not let wrongdoers go free; sending punishment on children for the sins of their fathers, to the third and fourth generation. 18 여호와는 노하기를 더디하고 인자가 많아 죄악과 과실을 사하나 형벌 받을 자는 결단코 사하지 아니하고 아비의 죄악을 자식에게 갚아 삼사대까지 이르게 하리라 하셨나이다
19Pardon, I beseech thee, the iniquity of this people according unto the greatness of thy mercy, and as thou hast forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.[x]MKJV: I beseech You, pardon the iniquity of this people according to the greatness of Your mercy, and as You have forgiven this people from Egypt even until now. BBE: May the sin of this people have forgiveness, in the measure of your great mercy, as you have had mercy on them from Egypt up till now. 20 And the LORDsaid, I have pardoned according to thy word:[x]MKJV: And Jehovah said, I have pardoned according to your word. BBE: And the Lord said, I have had mercy, as you say: KAV: {주}께서 이르시되, 내가 네 말에 따라 용서하였노라.
20 And the Lord said, I have had mercy, as you say:

21 But astrulyas I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD.[x]MKJV: But truly, [as] I live, all the earth shall be filled [with] the glory of the LORD. BBE: They will not see the land about which I made an oath to their fathers; not one of these by whom I have not been honoured will see it. 24 But my servantCaleb, because he had anotherspirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.[x]MKJV: But My servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and has followed Me fully, I will bring him into the land into which he went. And his seed shall possess it. BBE: But my servant Caleb, because he had a different spirit in him, and has been true to me with all his heart, him I will take into that land into which he went, and his seed will have it for their heritage. KAV: 오직 내 종 갈렙은 다른 영을 지녀 나를 온전히 따랐은즉 그가 갔던 땅으로 내가 그를 데려가리니 그의 씨가 그 땅을 소유하리라. 24 오직 내 종 갈렙은 그 마음이 그들과 달라서 나를 온전히 좇았은즉 그의 갔던 땅으로 내가 그를 인도하여 들이리니 그 자손이 그 땅을 차지하리라
25 (Now the Amalekites and the Canaanitesdwelt in the valley.) To morrowturn you, and get you into the wilderness by the way of the Redsea.[x]MKJV: (Now the Amalekites and the Canaanites lived in the valley.) Tomorrow turn and go into the wilderness by the way of the Red Sea. 27 How long am I to put up with this evil people and their outcries against me? The words which they say against me have come to my ears.

They shall be destroyed in this wilderness, and there they shall die. 35 I the Lord have said it, and this I will certainly do to all this evil people who have come together against me: in this waste land destruction will come on them, and death will be their fate.

37 Even thosemen that did bring up the evilreport upon the land, died by the plaguebefore the LORD.[x]MKJV: even those men that brought up the evil report upon the land died by the plague before the LORD. 44 But they presumed to go up unto the hilltop: nevertheless the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and Moses, departed not out of the camp.[x]MKJV: But they presumed to go up to the hill top. But the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, and Moses, did not leave the camp. BBE: But they gave no attention to his words and went to the top of the mountain, though Moses and the ark of the Lord's agreement did not go out of the tent-circle.
