2 Make two silver horns of hammered work, to be used for getting the people together and to give the sign for the moving of the tents.

3 And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.[x]MKJV: And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall gather themselves to you at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. 3 When they are sounded, all the people are to come together to you at the door of the Tent of meeting.

4 And if they blowbut with onetrumpet, then the princes, which areheads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee.[x]MKJV: And if they blow with one, then the rulers [who are] heads of the thousands of Israel shall gather themselves to you. They shall blow an alarm for their journeys. BBE: At the sound of a second loud note, the tents on the south side are to go forward: the loud note will be the sign to go forward. 6 At the sound of a second loud note, the tents on the south side are to go forward: the loud note will be the sign to go forward.

7 But when the congregation is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm.[x]MKJV: But when the congregation is to be gathered, you shall blow, but you shall not sound an alarm. 8 And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations.[x]MKJV: And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets. And they shall be to you for an ordinance forever throughout your generations. 9 And if ye go to war in your landagainst the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be rememberedbefore the LORD your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.[x]MKJV: And if you go to war in your land against the enemy who fights against you, then you shall blow with the trumpets. And you shall be remembered before the LORD your God, and you shall be saved from your enemies. 10 Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorialbefore your God: I am the LORD your God.[x]MKJV: Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, you shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings, so that they may be to you for a memorial before your GOD. Come with us, and we will do you good. For the LORD has spoken good concerning Israel. BBE: Then Moses said to Hobab, the son of his father-in-law Reuel the Midianite, We are journeying to that place of which the Lord has said, I will give it to you: so come with us, and it will be for your profit: for the Lord has good things in store for Israel. 29 Then Moses said to Hobab, the son of his father-in-law Reuel the Midianite, We are journeying to that place of which the Lord has said, I will give it to you: so come with us, and it will be for your profit: for the Lord has good things in store for Israel.

30 And he said unto him, I will not go; but I will depart to mine own land, and to my kindred.[x]MKJV: And he said to him, I will not go, but I will go to my own land and to my kindred. BBE: But he said, I will not go with you, I will go back to the land of my birth and to my relations. 30 But he said, I will not go with you, I will go back to the land of my birth and to my relations.

31 And he said, Leave us not, I pray thee; forasmuch as thou knowestㆍ how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and thou mayest be to us instead of eyes.[x]MKJV: And he said, Please do not leave us, because you know how we are to camp in the wilderness, and so you may be to us for eyes. BBE: And he said, Do not go from us; for you will be eyes for us, guiding us to the right places in the waste land to put up our tents. 31 And he said, Do not go from us; for you will be eyes for us, guiding us to the right places in the waste land to put up our tents.

32 And it shall be, if thou go with us, yea, it shall be, that what goodness the LORD shall do unto us, the same will we do unto thee.[x]MKJV: And it shall be, if you go with us, then it shall be, whatever goodness the LORD shall do to us, the same will we do to you. 33 And they departed from the mount of the LORDthreedaysjourney: and the ark of the covenant of the LORDwentbefore them in the threedaysjourney, to search out a resting place for them.[x]MKJV: And they moved three days' journey from the mountain of the LORD. And the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them in the three days' journey, to look for a resting-place for them. 34 And the cloud of the LORDwas upon them by day, when they went out of the camp.[x]MKJV: And the cloud of the LORD [was] upon them by day, when they pulled up out of the camp. 34 And by day the cloud of the Lord went over them, when they went forward from the place where they had put up their tents.

35 And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Mosessaid, Rise up, LORD, and let thine enemies be scattered; and let them that hate thee fleebefore thee.[x]MKJV: And it happened when the ark pulled up, Moses said, Rise up, LORD, and let Your enemies be scattered, and let those who hate You flee before You. BBE: And when the ark went forward Moses said, Come up, O Lord, and let the armies of those who are against you be broken, and let your haters go in flight before you. 35 And when the ark went forward Moses said, Come up, O Lord, and let the armies of those who are against you be broken, and let your haters go in flight before you.
35 궤가 떠날 때에는 모세가 가로되 여호와여 일어나사 주의 대적들을 흩으시고 주를 미워하는 자로 주의 앞에서 도망하게 하소서 하였고
36 And when it rested, he said, Return, O LORD, unto the manythousands of Israel.[x]MKJV: And when it rested, he said, Return, O LORD, to the many thousands of Israel. 36 And when it came to rest, he said, Take rest, O Lord, and give a blessing to the families of Israel.
