KJV BBE KRV
On that day they read in the book of Moses in the audience of the people; and therein was found written, that the Ammonite and the Moabite should not come into the congregation of God for ever;1 On that day there was a reading from the book of Moses in the hearing of the people; and they saw that it said in the book that no Ammonite or Moabite might ever come into the meeting of God;1 그 날에 모세의 책을 낭독하여 백성에게 들렸는데 그 책에 기록하기를 암몬 사람과 모압 사람은 영영히 하나님의 회에 들어오지 못하리니
Because they met not the children of Israel with bread and with water, but hired Balaam against them, that he should curse them: howbeit our God turned the curse into a blessing.2 Because they did not give the children of Israel bread and water when they came to them, but got Balaam to put a curse on them: though the curse was turned into a blessing by our God.2 이는 저희가 양식과 물로 이스라엘 자손을 영접지 아니하고 도리어 발람에게 뇌물을 주어 저주하게 하였음이라 그러나 우리 하나님이 그 저주를 돌이켜 복이 되게 하셨다 하였는지라
Now it came to pass, when they had heard the law, that they separated from Israel all the mixed multitude.3 So after hearing the law, they took out of Israel all the mixed people.3 백성이 이 율법을 듣고 곧 섞인 무리를 이스라엘 가운데서 몰수히 분리케 하였느니라
And before this, Eliashib the priest, having the oversight of the chamber of the house of our God, was allied unto Tobiah:4 Now before this, Eliashib the priest, who had been placed over the rooms of the house of our God, being a friend of Tobiah,4 이전에 우리 하나님의 전 골방을 맡은 제사장 엘리아십이 도비야와 연락이 있었으므로
And he had prepared for him a great chamber, where aforetime they laid the meat offerings, the frankincense, and the vessels, and the tithes of the corn, the new wine, and the oil, which was commanded to be given to the Levites, and the singers, and the porters; and the offerings of the priests.5 Had made ready for him a great room, where at one time they kept the meal offerings, the perfume, and the vessels and the tenths of the grain and wine and oil which were given by order to the Levites and the music-makers and the door-keepers, and the lifted offerings for the priests.5 도비야를 위하여 한 큰 방을 갖추었으니 그 방은 원래 소제물과 유향과 기명과 또 레위 사람들과 노래하는 자들과 문지기들에게 십일조로 주는 곡물과 새 포도주와 기름과 또 제사장들에게 주는 거제물을 두는 곳이라
But in all this time was not I at Jerusalem: for in the two and thirtieth year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon came I unto the king, and after certain days obtained I leave of the king:6 But all this time I was not at Jerusalem: for in the thirty-second year of Artaxerxes, king of Babylon, I went to the king; and after some days, I got the king to let me go,6 그 때에는 내가 예루살렘에 있지 아니하였었느니라 바벨론 왕 아닥사스다 삼십 이년에 내가 왕에게 나아갔다가 며칠 후에 왕에게 말미를 청하고
And I came to Jerusalem, and understood of the evil that Eliashib did for Tobiah, in preparing him a chamber in the courts of the house of God.7 And I came to Jerusalem; and it was clear to me what evil Eliashib had done for Tobiah, in making ready for him a room in the buildings of the house of God.7 예루살렘에 이르러서야 엘리아십이 도비야를 위하여 하나님의 전 뜰에 방을 갖춘 악한 일을 안지라
And it grieved me sore: therefore I cast forth all the household stuff of Tobiah out of the chamber.8 And it was evil in my eyes: so I had all Tobiah's things put out of the room.8 내가 심히 근심하여 도비야의 세간을 그 방 밖으로 다 내어 던지고
Then I commanded, and they cleansed the chambers: and thither brought I again the vessels of the house of God, with the meat offering and the frankincense.9 Then I gave orders, and they made the rooms clean: and I put back in them the vessels of the house of God, with the meal offerings and the perfume.9 명하여 그 방을 정결케 하고 하나님의 전의 기명과 소제물과 유향을 다시 그리로 들여 놓았느니라
And I perceived that the portions of the Levites had not been given them: for the Levites and the singers, that did the work, were fled every one to his field.10 And I saw that the Levites had not been given what was needed for their support; so that the Levites and the music-makers, who did the work, had gone away, everyone to his field.10 내가 또 알아 본즉 레위 사람들의 받을 것을 주지 아니 하였으므로 그 직무를 행하는 레위 사람들과 노래하는 자들이 각각 그 전리로 도망하였기로
Then contended I with the rulers, and said, Why is the house of God forsaken? And I gathered them together, and set them in their place.11 Then I made protests to the chiefs, and said, Why has the house of God been given up? And I got them together and put them in their places.11 내가 모든 민장을 꾸짖어 이르기를 하나님의 전이 어찌하여 버린바 되었느냐 하고 곧 레위 사람을 불러 모아 다시 그 처소에 세웠더니
Then brought all Judah the tithe of the corn and the new wine and the oil unto the treasuries.12 Then all Judah came with the tenth part of the grain and wine and oil and put it into the store-houses.12 이에 온 유다가 곡식과 새 포도주와 기름의 십일조를 가져다가 곳간에 들이므로
And I made treasurers over the treasuries, Shelemiah the priest, and Zadok the scribe, and of the Levites, Pedaiah: and next to them was Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah: for they were counted faithful, and their office was to distribute unto their brethren.13 And I made controllers over the store-houses, Shelemiah the priest and Zadok the scribe, and of the Levites, Pedaiah: and with them was Hanan, the son of Zaccur the son of Mattaniah: they were taken to be true men and their business was the distribution of these things to their brothers.13 내가 제사장 셀레먀와 서기관 사독과 레위 사람 브다야로 고지기를 삼고 맛다냐의 손자 삭굴의 아들 하난으로 버금을 삼았나니 이는 저희가 충직한 자로 인정됨이라 그 직분은 형제들에게 분배하는 일이었느니라
Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for the offices thereof.14 Keep me in mind, O my God, in connection with this, and do not let the good which I have done for the house of my God and its worship go from your memory completely.14 내 하나님이여 이 일을 인하여 나를 기억하옵소서 내 하나님의 전과 그 모든 직무를 위하여 나의 행한 선한 일을 도말하지 마옵소서
In those days saw I in Judah some treading wine presses on the sabbath, and bringing in sheaves, and lading asses; as also wine, grapes, and figs, and all manner of burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the sabbath day: and I testified against them in the day wherein they sold victuals.15 In those days, I saw in Judah some who were crushing grapes on the Sabbath, and getting in grain and putting it on asses; as well as wine and grapes and figs and all sorts of goods which they took into Jerusalem on the Sabbath day: and I gave witness against them on the day when they were marketing food.15 그 때에 내가 본즉 유다에서 어떤 사람이 안식일에 술틀을 밟고 곡식단을 나귀에 실어 운반하며 포도주와 포도와 무화과와 여러가지 짐을 지고 안식일에 예루살렘에 들어와서 식물을 팔기로 그 날에 내가 경계하였고
There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish , and all manner of ware, and sold on the sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem.16 And there were men of Tyre there, who came with fish and all sorts of goods, trading with the children of Judah and in Jerusalem on the Sabbath.16 또 두로 사람이 예루살렘에 거하며 물고기와 각양 물건을 가져다가 안식일에 유다 자손에게 예루살렘에서도 팔기로
Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the sabbath day?17 Then I made protests to the chiefs of Judah, and said to them, What is this evil which you are doing, not keeping the Sabbath day holy?17 내가 유다 모든 귀인을 꾸짖어 이르기를 너희가 어찌 이 악을 행하여 안식일을 범하느냐
Did not your fathers thus, and did not our God bring all this evil upon us, and upon this city? yet ye bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the sabbath.18 Did not your fathers do the same, and did not our God send all this evil on us and on this town? but you are causing more wrath to come on Israel by not keeping the Sabbath holy.18 너희 열조가 이같이 행하지 아니 하였느냐 그러므로 우리 하나님이 이 모든 재앙으로 우리와 이 성읍에 내리신 것이 아니냐 이제 너희가 오히려 안식일을 범하여 진노가 이스라엘에게 임함이 더욱 심하게 하는도다 하고
And it came to pass, that when the gates of Jerusalem began to be dark before the sabbath, I commanded that the gates should be shut, and charged that they should not be opened till after the sabbath: and some of my servants set I at the gates, that there should no burden be brought in on the sabbath day.19 And so, when the streets of Jerusalem were getting dark before the Sabbath, I gave orders for the doors to be shut and not to be open again till after the Sabbath: and I put some of my servants by the door so that nothing might be taken in on the Sabbath day.19 안식일 전 예루살렘 성문이 어두워 갈 때에 내가 명하여 성문을 닫고 안식일이 지나기 전에는 열지 말라 하고 내 종자 두어 사람을 성문마다 세워서 안식일에 아무 짐도 들어 오지 못하게 하매
So the merchants and sellers of all kind of ware lodged without Jerusalem once or twice.20 So the traders in all sorts of goods took their night's rest outside Jerusalem once or twice.20 장사들과 각양 물건 파는 자들이 한두번 예루살렘성 밖에서 자므로
Then I testified against them, and said unto them, Why lodge ye about the wall? if ye do so again, I will lay hands on you. From that time forth came they no more on the sabbath.21 Then I gave witness against them and said, Why are you waiting all night by the wall? if you do so again I will have you taken prisoners. From that time they did not come again on the Sabbath.21 내가 경계하여 이르기를 너희가 어찌하여 성 밑에서 자느냐 다시 이같이 하면 내가 잡으리라 하였더니 그 후부터는 안식일에 저희가 다시 오지 아니하였느니라
And I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and that they should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the sabbath day. Remember me, O my God, concerning this also, and spare me according to the greatness of thy mercy.22 And I gave the Levites orders to make themselves clean and come and keep the doors and make the Sabbath holy. Keep this in mind to my credit, O my God, and have mercy on me, for great is your mercy.22 내가 또 레위 사람들을 명하여 몸을 정결케 하고 와서 성문을 지켜서 안식일로 거룩하게 하라 하였느니라 나의 하나님이여 나를 위하여 이 일도 기억하옵시고 주의 큰 은혜대로 나를 아끼시옵소서
In those days also saw I Jews that had married wives of Ashdod, of Ammon, and of Moab:23 And in those days I saw the Jews who were married to women of Ashdod and Ammon and Moab:23 그때에 내가 또 본즉 유다 사람이 아스돗과 암몬과 모압 여인을 취하여 아내를 삼았는데
And their children spake half in the speech of Ashdod, and could not speak in the Jews language, but according to the language of each people.24 And their children were talking half in the language of Ashdod; they had no knowledge of the Jews' language, but made use of the language of the two peoples.24 그 자녀가 아스돗 방언을 절반쯤은 하여도 유다 방언은 못하니 그 하는 말이 각 족속의 방언이므로
And I contended with them, and cursed them, and smote certain of them, and plucked off their hair, and made them swear by God, saying, Ye shall not give your daughters unto their sons, nor take their daughters unto your sons, or for yourselves.25 And I took up the cause against them, cursing them and giving blows to some of them and pulling out their hair; and I made them take an oath by God, saying, You are not to give your daughters to their sons or take their daughters for your sons or for yourselves.25 내가 책망하고 저주하며 두어 사람을 때리고 그 머리 털을 뽑고 이르되 너희는 너희 딸들로 저희 아들들에게 주지 말고 너희 아들들이나 너희를 위하여 저희 딸을 데려오지 않겠다고 하나님을 가리켜 맹세하라 하고
Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did outlandish women cause to sin.26 Was it not in these things that Solomon, king of Israel, did wrong? among a number of nations there was no king like him, and he was dear to his God, and God made him king over all Israel: but even he was made to do evil by strange women.26 또 이르기를 옛적에 이스라엘 왕 솔로몬이 이 일로 범죄하지 아니하였느냐 저는 열국 중에 비길 왕이 없이 하나님의 사랑을 입은 자라 하나님이 저로 왕을 삼아 온 이스라엘을 다스리게 하셨으나 이방 여인이 저로 범죄케 하였나니
Shall we then hearken unto you to do all this great evil, to transgress against our God in marrying strange wives?27 Are we then without protest to let you do all this great evil, sinning against our God by taking strange women for your wives?27 너희가 이방 여인을 취하여 크게 악을 행하여 우리 하나님께 범죄하는 것을 우리가 어찌 용납하겠느냐
And one of the sons of Joiada, the son of Eliashib the high priest, was son in law to Sanballat the Horonite: therefore I chased him from me.28 And one of the sons of Joiada, the son of Eliashib, the chief priest, was son-in-law to Sanballat the Horonite: so I sent him away from me.28 대제사장 엘리아십의 손자 요야다의 아들 하나가 호론 사람 산발랏의 사위가 되었으므로 내가 쫓아내어 나를 떠나게 하였느니라
Remember them, O my God, because they have defiled the priesthood, and the covenant of the priesthood, and of the Levites.29 Keep them in mind, O my God, because they have put shame on the priests' name and on the agreement of the priests and the Levites.29 내 하나님이여 저희가 제사장의 직분을 더럽히고 제사장의 직분과 레위 사람에 대한 언약을 어기었사오니 저희를 기억하옵소서
Thus cleansed I them from all strangers, and appointed the wards of the priests and the Levites, every one in his business;30 So I made them clean from all strange people, and had regular watches fixed for the priests and for the Levites, everyone in his work;30 내가 이와 같이 저희로 이방 사람을 떠나게 하여 깨끗하게 하고 또 제사장과 레위 사람의 반열을 세워 각각 그 일을 맡게 하고
And for the wood offering, at times appointed, and for the firstfruits. Remember me, O my God, for good.31 And for the wood offering, at fixed times, and for the first fruits. Keep me in mind, O my God, for good.31 또 정한 기한에 나무와 처음 익은 것을 드리게 하였사오니 내 하나님이여 나를 기억하사 복을 주옵소서
