The sins and judgments of Nineveh. (1-7) Its utter destruction. (8-19)
KJV BBE KRV
Woe to the bloody city! it is all full of lies and robbery; the prey departeth not;1 A curse is on the town of blood; it is full of deceit and violent acts; and there is no end to the taking of life.1 화 있을찐저 피 성이여 그 속에서는 궤휼과 강포가 가득하며 늑탈이 떠나지 아니하는도다
The noise of a whip, and the noise of the rattling of the wheels, and of the prancing horses, and of the jumping chariots.2 The noise of the whip, and the noise of thundering wheels; horses rushing and war-carriages jumping,2 휙휙하는 채찍 소리, 굉굉하는 병거바퀴 소리, 뛰는 말, 달리는 병거,
The horseman lifteth up both the bright sword and the glittering spear: and there is a multitude of slain, and a great number of carcases; and there is none end of their corpses; they stumble upon their corpses:3 Horsemen driving forward, and the shining sword and the bright spear: and a great number of wounded, and masses of dead bodies; they are falling over the bodies of the dead:3 충돌하는 기병, 번쩍이는 칼, 번개 같은 창, 살륙 당한 떼, 큰 무더기 주검, 무수한 시체여 사람이 그 시체에 걸려 넘어지니
Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the wellfavoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts.4 Because of all the false ways of the loose woman, expert in attraction and wise in secret arts, who takes nations in the net of her false ways, and families through her secret arts.4 이는 마술의 주인된 아리따운 기생이 음행을 많이 함을 인함이라 그가 그 음행으로 열국을 미혹하고 그 마술로 여러 족속을 미혹하느니라
Behold, I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts; and I will discover thy skirts upon thy face, and I will show the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame.5 See, I am against you, says the Lord of armies, and I will have your skirts pulled over your face, and let the nations see you unclothed, and the kingdoms your shame.5 만군의 여호와의 말씀에 내가 네 대적이 되어서 네 치마를 걷어쳐 네 얼굴에 이르게 하고 네 벌거벗은 것을 열국에 보이며 네 부끄러운 곳을 열방에 보일 것이요
And I will cast abominable filth upon thee, and make thee vile, and will set thee as a gazingstock.6 I will make you completely disgusting and full of shame, and will put you up to be looked at by all.6 내가 또 가증하고 더러운 것을 네 위에 던져 능욕하여 너로 구경거리가 되게 하리니
And it shall come to pass, that all they that look upon thee shall flee from thee, and say, Nineveh is laid waste: who will bemoan her? whence shall I seek comforters for thee?7 And it will come about that all who see you will go in flight from you and say, Nineveh is made waste: who will be weeping for her? where am I to get comforters for her?7 그 때에 너를 보는 자가 다 네게서 도망하며 이르기를 니느웨가 황무하였도다 누가 위하여 애곡하며 내가 어디서 너를 위로할 자를 구하리요 하리라 하시도다
Art thou better than populous No, that was situate among the rivers, that had the waters round about it, whose rampart was the sea, and her wall was from the sea?8 Are you better than No-amon, seated on the Nile streams, with waters all round her; whose wall was the sea and her earthwork the waters?8 네가 어찌 노아몬보다 낫겠느냐 그는 강들 사이에 있으므로 물이 둘렸으니 바다가 성루가 되었고 바다가 성벽이 되었으며
Ethiopia and Egypt were her strength, and it was infinite ; Put and Lubim were thy helpers.9 Ethiopia was her strength and Egyptians without number; Put and Lubim were her helpers.9 구스와 애굽이 그 힘이 되어 한이 없었고 붓과 루빔이 그의 돕는 자가 되었으나
Yet was she carried away, she went into captivity: her young children also were dashed in pieces at the top of all the streets: and they cast lots for her honourable men, and all her great men were bound in chains.10 But even she has been taken away, she has gone away as a prisoner: even her young children are smashed to bits at the top of all the streets: the fate of her honoured men is put to the decision of chance, and all her great men are put in chains.10 그가 포로가 되어 사로잡혀 갔고 그 어린 아이들은 길 모퉁이 모퉁이에 메어침을 당하여 부서졌으며 그 존귀한 자들은 제비 뽑혀 나뉘었고 그 모든 대인은 사슬에 결박되었나니
Thou also shalt be drunken: thou shalt be hid, thou also shalt seek strength because of the enemy.11 And you will be overcome with wine, you will become feeble; you will be looking for a safe place from those who are fighting against you.11 너도 취한바 되어 숨으리라 너도 대적을 인하여 피난처를 찾아보리라
All thy strong holds shall be like fig trees with the firstripe figs: if they be shaken, they shall even fall into the mouth of the eater.12 All your walled places will be like fig-trees and your people like the first figs, falling at a shake into the mouth which is open for them.12 너의 모든 산성은 무화과나무의 처음 익은 열매가 흔들기만 하면 먹는 자의 입에 떨어짐과 같으리라
Behold, thy people in the midst of thee are women: the gates of thy land shall be set wide open unto thine enemies: the fire shall devour thy bars.13 See, the people who are in you are women; the doorways of your land are wide open to your attackers: the locks of your doors have been burned away in the fire.13 너의 중 장정들은 여인 같고 너의 땅의 성문들은 너의 대적 앞에 넓게 열리고 빗장들은 불에 타도다
Draw thee waters for the siege, fortify thy strong holds: go into clay, and tread the mortar, make strong the brickkiln.14 Get water for the time when you are shut in, make strong your towns: go into the potter's earth, stamping it down with your feet, make strong the brickworks.14 너는 물을 길어 에워싸일 것을 예비하며 너의 산성들을 견고케 하며 진흙에 들어가서 흙을 밟아 벽돌 가마를 수리하라
There shall the fire devour thee; the sword shall cut thee off, it shall eat thee up like the cankerworm: make thyself many as the cankerworm, make thyself many as the locusts.15 There the fire will make you waste; you will be cut off by the sword: make yourself as great in number as the worms, as great in number as the locusts.15 거기서 불이 너를 삼키며 칼이 너를 베기를 늣의 먹는 것 같이 하리라 네가 늣 같이 스스로 많게 할찌어다 네가 메뚜기 같이 스스로 많게 할찌어다
Thou hast multiplied thy merchants above the stars of heaven: the cankerworm spoileth, and fleeth away.16 Let your traders be increased more than the stars of heaven:16 네가 네 상고를 하늘의 별보다 많게 하였으나 황충이 날개를 펴서 날아감과 같고
Thy crowned are as the locusts, and thy captains as the great grasshoppers, which camp in the hedges in the cold day, but when the sun ariseth they flee away, and their place is not known where they are.17 Your crowned ones are like the locusts, and your scribes like the clouds of insects which take cover in the walls on a cold day, but when the sun comes up they go in flight, and are seen no longer in their place.17 너의 방백은 메뚜기 같고 너의 대장은 큰 메뚜기 떼가 추운 날에는 울타리에 깃들였다가 해가 뜨면 날아감과 같으니 그 있는 곳을 알 수 없도다
Thy shepherds slumber, O king of Assyria: thy nobles shall dwell in the dust: thy people is scattered upon the mountains, and no man gathereth them.18 Sorrow! how are the keepers of your flock sleeping, O king of Assyria! your strong men are at rest; your people are wandering on the mountains, and there is no one to get them together.18 앗수르 왕이여 네 목자가 자고 네 귀족은 누워 쉬며 네 백성은 산들에 흩어지나 그들을 모을 사람이 없도다
There is no healing of thy bruise; thy wound is grievous: all that hear the bruit of thee shall clap the hands over thee: for upon whom hath not thy wickedness passed continually?19 Your pain may not be made better; you are wounded to death: all those hearing the news about you will be waving their hands in joy over you: for who has not undergone the weight of your evil-doing again and again?19 너의 다친 것은 고칠 수 없고 네 상처는 중하도다 네 소식을 듣는 자가 다 너를 인하여 손뼉을 치나니 이는 네 악행을 늘 받지 않은 자가 없음이 아니냐
