The transfiguration. (1-13) An evil spirit cast out. (14-29) The apostles reproved. (30-40) Pain to be preferred to sin. (41-50)
KJV BBE KRV
And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.1 And he said to them, Truly I say to you, There are some here who will have no taste of death till they see the kingdom of God come with power.1 또 저희에게 이르시되 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 여기 섰는 사람 중에 죽기 전에 하나님의 나라가 권능으로 임하는 것을 볼 자들도 있느니라 하시니라
And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.2 And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James and John, and made them go up with him into a high mountain by themselves: and he was changed in form before them:2 엿새 후에 예수께서 베드로와 야고보와 요한을 데리시고 따로 높은 산에 올라가셨더니 저희 앞에서 변형되사
And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.3 And his clothing became shining, very white, as no cleaner on earth would make it.3 그 옷이 광채가 나며 세상에서 빨래하는 자가 그렇게 희게 할 수 없을만큼 심히 희어졌더라
And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.4 And there came before them Elijah with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus.4 이에 엘리야가 모세와 함께 저희에게 나타나 예수로 더불어 말씀하거늘
And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.5 And Peter said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tents; one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.5 베드로가 예수께 고하되 랍비여 우리가 여기 있는 것이 좋사오니 우리가 초막 셋을 짓되 하나는 주를 위하여, 하나는 모세를 위하여, 하나는 엘리야를 위하여 하사이다 하니
For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid.6 Because he was not certain what to say, for they were in great fear.6 이는 저희가 심히 무서워하므로 저가 무슨 말을 할는지 알지 못함이더라
And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.7 And a cloud came over them; and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my dearly loved Son, give ear to him.7 마침 구름이 와서 저희를 덮으며 구름 속에서 소리가 나되 이는 내 사랑하는 아들이니 너희는 저의 말을 들으라 하는지라
And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.8 And suddenly looking round about, they saw no one any longer, but Jesus only with themselves.8 문득 둘러보니 아무도 보이지 아니하고 오직 예수와 자기들 뿐이었더라
And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.9 And while they were coming down from the mountain, he gave them orders not to give word to any man of the things they had seen, till the Son of man had come back from the dead.9 저희가 산에서 내려 올 때에 예수께서 경계하시되 인자가 죽은 자 가운데서 살아날 때까지는 본 것을 아무에게도 이르지 말라 하시니
And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean.10 And they kept the saying, questioning among themselves what the coming back from the dead might be.10 저희가 이 말씀을 마음에 두며 서로 문의하되 죽은 자 가운데서 살아나는 것이 무엇일까 하고
And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come?11 And they put a question to him, saying, Why do the scribes say that Elijah has to come first?11 이에 예수께 묻자와 가로되 어찌하여 서기관들이 엘리야가 먼저 와야 하리라 하나이까
And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.12 And he said to them, Truly, Elijah does come first, and puts all things in order; and how is it said in the Writings that the Son of man will go through much sorrow and be made as nothing?12 가라사대 엘리야가 과연 먼저 와서 모든 것을 회복하거니와 어찌 인자에 대하여 기록하기를 많은 고난을 받고 멸시를 당하리라 하였느냐
But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.13 But I say to you that Elijah has come, and they have done to him whatever they were pleased to do, even as the Writings say about him.13 그러나 내가 너희에게 이르노니 엘리야가 왔으되 기록된 바와 같이 사람들이 임의로 대우하였느니라 하시니라
And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them.14 And when they came to the disciples, they saw a great mass of people about them, and scribes questioning them.14 저희가 이에 제자들에게 와서 보니 큰 무리가 둘렀고 서기관들이 더불어 변론하더니
And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him.15 And straight away all the people, when they saw him, were full of wonder, and running to him, gave him worship.15 온 무리가 곧 예수를 보고 심히 놀라며 달려와 문안하거늘
And he asked the scribes, What question ye with them?16 And he said, What are you questioning them about?16 예수께서 물으시되 너희가 무엇을 저희와 변론하느냐
And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;17 And one of the number said to him in answer, Master, I came to you with my son, who has in him a spirit which takes away his power of talking;17 무리 중에 하나가 대답하되 선생님 벙어리 귀신 들린 내 아들을 선생님께 데려 왔나이다
And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.18 And wherever it takes him, it puts him down violently, streaming at the lips and twisted with pain; and his strength goes from him; and I made a request to your disciples to send it out, and they were not able.18 귀신이 어디서든지 저를 잡으면 거꾸러져 거품을 흘리며 이를 갈며 그리고 파리하여 가는지라 내가 선생의 제자들에게 내어쫓아 달라 하였으나 저희가 능히 하지 못하더이다
He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.19 And he said to them in answer, O generation without faith, how long will I have to be with you? how long will I put up with you? let him come to me.19 대답하여 가라사대 믿음이 없는 세대여 내가 얼마나 너희와 함께 있으며 얼마나 너희를 참으리요 그를 내게로 데려오라 하시매
And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.20 And they took him to him: and when he saw him, the spirit in him straight away became violent; and he went down on the earth, rolling about and streaming at the lips.20 이에 데리고 오니 귀신이 예수를 보고 곧 그 아이로 심히 경련을 일으키게 하는지라 저가 땅에 엎드러져 굴며 거품을 흘리더라
And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.21 And Jesus questioning the father said, How long has he been like this? And he said, From a child.21 예수께서 그 아비에게 물으시되 언제부터 이렇게 되었느냐 하시니 가로되 어릴 때부터니이다
And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.22 And frequently it has sent him into the fire and into the water, for his destruction; but if you are able to do anything, have pity on us, and give us help.22 귀신이 저를 죽이려고 불과 물에 자주 던졌나이다 그러나 무엇을 하실 수 있거든 우리를 불쌍히 여기사 도와 주옵소서
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.23 And Jesus said to him, If you are able! All things are possible to him who has faith.23 예수께서 이르시되 할 수 있거든이 무슨 말이냐 믿는 자에게는 능치 못할 일이 없느니라 하시니
And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.24 Straight away the father of the child gave a cry, saying, I have faith; make my feeble faith stronger.24 곧 그 아이의 아비가 소리를 질러 가로되 내가 믿나이다 나의 믿음 없는 것을 도와 주소서 하더라
When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.25 And when Jesus saw that the people came running together, he gave orders to the unclean spirit, saying to him, You, spirit, who are the cause of his loss of voice and hearing, I say to you, come out of him, and never again go into him.25 예수께서 무리의 달려 모이는 것을 보시고 그 더러운 귀신을 꾸짖어 가라사대 벙어리 되고 귀먹은 귀신아 내가 네게 명하노니 그 아이에게서 나오고 다시 들어가지 말라 하시매
And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.26 And after crying out and shaking him violently, it came out: and the child became like one dead; so that most of them said, He is dead.26 귀신이 소리지르며 아이로 심히 경련을 일으키게 하고 나가니 그 아이가 죽은것 같이 되어 많은 사람이 말하기를 죽었다 하나
But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.27 But Jesus took him by the hand, lifting him up; and he got up.27 예수께서 그 손을 잡아 일으키시니 이에 일어서니라
And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately , Why could not we cast him out?28 And when he had gone into the house, his disciples said to him privately, Why were we unable to send it out?28 집에 들어가시매 제자들이 종용히 묻자오되 우리는 어찌하여 능히 그 귀신을 쫓아 내지 못하였나이까
And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.29 And he said to them, Nothing will make this sort come out but prayer.29 이르시되 기도 외에 다른 것으로는 이런 유가 나갈 수 없느니라 하시니라
And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee; and he would not that any man should know it.30 And they went out from there, through Galilee; and it was his desire that no man might have knowledge of it;30 그곳을 떠나 갈릴리 가운데로 지날쌔 예수께서 아무에게도 알리고자 아니하시니
For he taught his disciples, and said unto them , The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.31 For he was giving his disciples teaching, and saying to them, The Son of man is given up into the hands of men, and they will put him to death; and when he is dead, after three days he will come back from the dead.31 이는 제자들을 가르치시며 또 인자가 사람들의 손에 넘기워 죽임을 당하고 죽은지 삼 일만에 살아나리라는 것을 말씀하시는 연고더라
But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him.32 But the saying was not clear to them, and they were in fear of questioning him about it.32 그러나 제자들은 이 말씀을 깨닫지 못하고 묻기도 무서워하더라
And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way?33 And they came to Capernaum: and when he was in the house, he put the question to them, What were you talking about on the way?33 가버나움에 이르러 집에 계실쌔 제자들에게 물으시되 너희가 노중에서 서로 토론한 것이 무엇이냐 하시되
But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest.34 But they said nothing: because they had had an argument between themselves on the way, about who was the greatest.34 저희가 잠잠하니 이는 노중에서 서로 누가 크냐 하고 쟁론하였음이라
And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.35 And seating himself, he made the twelve come to him; and he said to them, If any man has the desire to be first, he will be last of all and servant of all.35 예수께서 앉으사 열 두 제자를 불러서 이르시되 아무든지 첫째가 되고자 하면 뭇사람의 끝이 되며 뭇사람을 섬기는 자가 되어야 하리라 하시고
And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,36 And he took a little child, and put him in the middle of them; and taking him in his arms, he said to them,36 어린 아이 하나를 데려다가 그들 가운데 세우시고 안으시며 제자들에게 이르시되
Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.37 Whoever will give honour to one such little child in my name, gives honour to me: and whoever gives honour to me, gives honour not to me, but to him who sent me.37 누구든지 내 이름으로 이런 어린 아이 하나를 영접하면 곧 나를 영접함이요 누구든지 나를 영접하면 나를 영접함이 아니요 나를 보내신 이를 영접함이니라
And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.38 John said to him, Master, we saw one driving out evil spirits in your name: and we said that he might not, because he is not one of us.38 요한이 예수께 여짜오되 선생님 우리를 따르지 않는 어떤 자가 주의 이름으로 귀신을 내어쫓는 것을 우리가 보고 우리를 따르지 아니하므로 금하였나이다
But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.39 But Jesus said, Say not so: for there is no man who will do a great work in my name, and be able at the same time to say evil of me.39 예수께서 가라사대 금하지 말라 내 이름을 의탁하여 능한 일을 행하고 즉시로 나를 비방할 자가 없느니라
For he that is not against us is on our part.40 He who is not against us is for us.40 우리를 반대하지 않는 자는 우리를 위하는 자니라
For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.41 Whoever gives you a cup of water, because you are Christ's, truly I say to you, he will in no way be without his reward.41 누구든지 너희를 그리스도에게 속한 자라 하여 물 한 그릇을 주면 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 저가 결단코 상을 잃지 않으리라
And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.42 And whoever is a cause of trouble to one of these little ones who have faith in me, it would be better for him if a great stone was put round his neck and he was dropped into the sea.42 또 누구든지 나를 믿는 이 소자 중 하나를 실족케 하면 차라리 연자 맷돌을 그 목에 달리우고 바다에 던지움이 나으리라
And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:43 And if your hand is a cause of trouble to you, let it be cut off; it is better for you to go into life with one hand than to have two hands and go into hell, into the eternal fire.43 만일 네 손이 너를 범죄케 하거든 찍어버리라 불구자로 영생에 들어가는 것이 두 손을 가지고 지옥 꺼지지 않는 불에 들어가는 것보다 나으니라
Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.44 []44 (없음)
And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:45 And if your foot is a cause of trouble to you, let it be cut off: it is better for you to go into life with one foot than to have two feet and go into hell.45 만일 네 발이 너를 범죄케 하거든 찍어 버리라 절뚝발이로 영생에 들어가는 것이 두 발을 가지고 지옥에 던지우는 것보다 나으니라
Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.46 []46 (없음)
And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:47 And if your eye is a cause of trouble to you, take it out: it is better for you to go into the kingdom of God with one eye than, having two eyes, to go into hell,47 만일 네 눈이 너를 범죄케 하거든 빼어버리라 한 눈으로 하나님의 나라에 들어가는 것이 두 눈을 가지고 지옥에 던지우는 것보다 나으니라
Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.48 Where their worm is ever living and the fire is not put out.48 거기는 구더기도 죽지 않고 불도 꺼지지 아니하느니라
For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.49 Everyone will be salted with fire.49 사람마다 불로서 소금 치듯함을 받으리라
Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.50 Salt is good; but if the taste goes from it, how will you make it salt again? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace one with another.50 소금은 좋은 것이로되 만일 소금이 그 맛을 잃으면 무엇으로 이를 짜게 하리요 너희 속에 소금을 두고 서로 화목하라 하시니라
