1 And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.1 And they came to the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gerasenes.1 예수께서 바다 건너편 거라사인의 지방에 이르러
2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,2 And when he had got out of the boat, straight away there came to him from the place of the dead a man with an unclean spirit.2 배에서 나오시매 곧 더러운 귀신 들린 사람이 무덤 사이에서 나와 예수를 만나다
3 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:3 He was living in the place of the dead: and no man was able to keep him down, no, not with a chain;3 그 사람은 무덤 사이에 거처하는데 이제는 아무나 쇠사슬로도 맬 수 없게 되었으니
4 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.4 Because he had frequently been prisoned in chains and iron bands, and the chains had been parted and the bands broken by him: and no man was strong enough to make him quiet.4 이는 여러번 고랑과 쇠사슬에 매였어도 쇠사슬을 끊고 고랑을 깨뜨렸음이러라 그리하여 아무도 저를 제어할 힘이 없는지라
5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.5 And all the time, by day and by night, in the place of the dead, and in the mountains, he was crying out and cutting himself with stones.5 밤낮 무덤 사이에서나 산에서나 늘 소리지르며 돌로 제 몸을 상하고 있었더라
6 But when he saw Jesus afar off ㆍ, he ran and worshipped him,6 And when he saw Jesus from far off, he went quickly to him and gave him worship;6 그가 멀리서 예수를 보고 달려와 절하며
7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.7 And crying out with a loud voice he said, What have I to do with you, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? In God's name, do not be cruel to me.7 큰 소리로 부르짖어 가로되 지극히 높으신 하나님의 아들 예수여 나와 당신과 무슨 상관이 있나이까 원컨대 하나님 앞에 맹세하고 나를 괴롭게 마옵소서 하니
8 For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.8 For Jesus had said to him, Come out of the man, you unclean spirit.8 이는 예수께서 이미 저에게 이르시기를 더러운 귀신아 그 사람에게서 나오라 하셨음이라
9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.9 And Jesus said, What is your name? And he made answer, My name is Legion, because there are a great number of us.9 이에 물으시되 네 이름이 무엇이냐 가로되 내 이름은 군대니 우리가 많음이니이다 하고
10 And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.10 And he made strong prayers to him not to send them away out of the country.10 자기를 이 지방에서 내어 보내지 마시기를 간절히 구하더니
11 Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.11 Now on the mountain side there was a great herd of pigs getting their food.11 마침 거기 돼지의 큰 떼가 산 곁에서 먹고 있는지라
12 And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.12 And they said to him, Send us into the pigs, so that we may go into them.12 이에 간구하여 가로되 우리를 돼지에게로 보내어 들어가게 하소서 하니
13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea ㆍ, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.13 And he let them do it. And the unclean spirits came out and went into the pigs; and the herd went rushing down a sharp slope into the sea, about two thousand of them; and they came to their death in the sea.13 허락하신대 더러운 귀신들이 나와서 돼지에게로 들어가니 거의 이천 마리 되는 떼가 바다를 향하여 비탈로 내리달아 바다에서 몰사하거늘
14 And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.14 And their keepers went running and gave an account of it in the town and in the country. And people came to see what had taken place.14 치던 자들이 도망하여 읍내와 촌에 고하니 사람들이 그 어떻게 된것을 보러 와서
15 And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.15 And they came to Jesus, and saw the man in whom had been the evil spirits seated, clothed and with full use of his senses, and they were full of fear.15 예수께 이르러 그 귀신 들렸던 자 곧 군대 지폈던 자가 옷을 입고 정신이 온전하여 앉은 것을 보고 두려워하더라
16 And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.16 And those who had seen it gave them an account of what had been done to him who had the evil spirits, and of the fate of the pigs.16 이에 귀신 들렸던 자의 당한 것과 돼지의 일을 본 자들이 저에게 고하매
17 And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts.17 And they made a request to him to go out of their country.17 저희가 예수께 그 지경에서 떠나시기를 간구하더라
18 And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.18 And when he was getting into the boat, the man in whom had been the evil spirits had a great desire to come with him.18 예수께서 배에 오르실 때에 귀신 들렸던 사람이 함께 있기를 간구하였으나
19 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home ㆍ ㆍ to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.19 And he would not let him, but said to him, Go to your house, to your friends, and give them news of the great things the Lord has done for you, and how he had mercy on you.19 허락지 아니하시고 저에게 이르시되 집으로 돌아가 주께서 네게 어떻게 큰 일을 행하사 너를 불쌍히 여기신 것을 네 친속에게 고하라 하신대
20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.20 And he went on his way, and made public in the country of Decapolis what great things Jesus had done for him: and all men were full of wonder.20 그가 가서 예수께서 자기에게 어떻게 큰 일 행하신 것을 데가볼리에 전파하니 모든 사람이 기이히 여기더라
21 And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea.21 And when Jesus had gone over again in the boat to the other side, a great number of people came to him: and he was by the sea.21 예수께서 배를 타시고 다시 저편으로 건너 가시매 큰 무리가 그에게로 모이거늘 이에 바닷가에 계시더니
22 And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,22 And one of the rulers of the Synagogue, Jairus by name, came, and seeing him, went down at his feet,22 회당장 중 하나인 야이로라 하는 이가 와서 예수를 보고 발 아래 엎드리어
23 And besought him greatly, saying ㆍ, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.23 And made strong prayers to him, saying, My little daughter is near to death: it is my prayer that you will come and put your hands on her, so that she may be made well, and have life.23 많이 간구하여 가로되 내 어린 딸이 죽게 되었사오니 오셔서 그 위에 손을 얹으사 그로 구원을 얻어 살게 하소서 하거늘
24 And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.24 And he went with him; and a great number of people went after him, and came round him.24 이에 그와 함께 가실쌔 큰 무리가 따라가며 에워싸 밀더라
25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood ㆍ twelve years,25 And a woman, who had had a flow of blood for twelve years,25 열 두 해를 혈루증으로 앓는 한 여자가 있어
26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,26 And had undergone much at the hands of a number of medical men, and had given all she had, and was no better, but even worse,26 많은 의원에게 많은 괴로움을 받았고 있던 것도 다 허비하였으되 아무 효험이 없고 도리어 더 중하여졌던 차에
27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.27 When she had news of the things which Jesus did, went among the people coming after him, and put her hand on his robe.27 예수의 소문을 듣고 무리 가운데 섞여 뒤로 와서 그의 옷에 손을 대니
28 For she said, If ㆍ I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.28 For she said, If I may only put my hand on his robe, I will be made well.28 이는 내가 그의 옷에만 손을 대어도 구원을 얻으리라 함일러라
29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.29 And straight away the fountain of her blood was stopped, and she had a feeling in her body that her disease had gone and she was well.29 이에 그의 혈루 근원이 곧 마르매 병이 나은 줄을 몸에 깨달으니라
30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?30 And straight away Jesus was conscious that power had gone out of him; and, turning to the people, he said, Who was touching my robe?30 예수께서 그 능력이 자기에게서 나간 줄을 곧 스스로 아시고 무리 가운데서 돌이켜 말씀하시되 누가 내 옷에 손을 대었느냐 하시니
31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?31 And his disciples said to him, You see the people round you on every side, and you say, Who was touching me?31 제자들이 여짜오되 무리가 에워싸 미는 것을 보시며 누가 내게 손을 대었느냐 물으시나이까 하되
32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.32 And on his looking round to see her who had done this thing,32 예수께서 이 일 행한 여자를 보려고 둘러 보시니
33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.33 The woman, shaking with fear, conscious of what had been done to her, came and, falling on her face before him, gave him a true account of everything.33 여자가 제게 이루어진 일을 알고 두려워하여 떨며 와서 그 앞에 엎드려 모든 사실을 여짜온대
34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.34 And he said to her, Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be free from your disease.34 예수께서 가라사대 딸아 네 믿음이 너를 구원하였으니 평안히 가라 네 병에서 놓여 건강할찌어다
35 While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said ㆍ, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?35 And while he was still talking, they came from the ruler of the Synagogue's house, saying, Your daughter is dead: why are you still troubling the Master?35 아직 말씀하실 때에 회당장의 집에서 사람들이 와서 가로되 당신의 딸이 죽었나이다 어찌하여 선생을 더 괴롭게 하나이까
36 As soon as Jesus ㆍ heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.36 But Jesus, giving no attention to their words, said to the ruler of the Synagogue, Have no fear, only have faith.36 예수께서 그 하는 말을 곁에서 들으시고 회당장에게 이르시되 두려워 말고 믿기만 하라 하시고
37 And he suffered ㆍ no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.37 And he did not let anyone come with him, but Peter and James and John, the brother of James.37 베드로와 야고보와 야고보의 형제 요한 외에 아무도 따라옴을 허치 아니하시고
38 And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.38 And they came to the house of the ruler of the Synagogue; and he saw people running this way and that, and weeping and crying loudly.38 회당장의 집에 함께 가사 훤화함과 사람들의 울며 심히 통곡함을 보시고
39 And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.39 And when he had gone in, he said to them, Why are you making such a noise and weeping? The child is not dead, but sleeping.39 들어가서 저희에게 이르시되 너희가 어찌하여 훤화하며 우느냐 이 아이가 죽은 것이 아니라 잔다 하시니
40 And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.40 And they were laughing at him. But he, having sent them all out, took the father of the child and her mother and those who were with him, and went in where the child was.40 저희가 비웃더라 예수께서 저희를 다 내어보내신 후에 아이의 부모와 또 자기와 함께한 자들을 데리시고 아이 있는 곳에 들어가사
41 And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.41 And taking her by the hand, he said to her, Talitha cumi, which is, My child, I say to you, Get up.41 그 아이의 손을 잡고 가라사대 달리다굼 하시니 번역하면 곧 소녀야 내가 네게 말하노니 일어나라 하심이라
42 And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.42 And the young girl got up straight away, and was walking about; she being twelve years old. And they were overcome with wonder.42 소녀가 곧 일어나서 걸으니 나이 열 두살이라 사람들이 곧 크게 놀라고 놀라거늘
43 And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.43 And he gave them special orders that they were not to say anything of this; and he said that some food was to be given to her.43 예수께서 이 일을 아무도 알지 못하게 하라고 저희를 많이 경계하시고 이에 소녀에게 먹을 것을 주라 하시니라
