| 1 And he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land. | 1 And again he was teaching by the seaside. | 2 And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine, | 2 And he gave them teaching about a number of things in the form of stories, and said to them in his teaching, Give ear: | 2 이에 예수께서 여러가지를 비유로 가르치시니 그 가르치시는 중에 저희에게 이르시되 |
| 3 Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow: | 3 A man went out to put seed in the earth: | 3 들으라 씨를 뿌리는 자가 뿌리러 나가서 |
| 4 And it came to pass, as he sowed, some ㆍ fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up. | 4 And while he was doing it, some was dropped by the wayside, and the birds came and took it for food. | 4 뿌릴쌔 더러는 길 가에 떨어지매 새들이 와서 먹어 버렸고 |

| 11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: | 11 And he said to them, To you is given the secret of the kingdom of God, but to those who are outside, all things are given in the form of stories; | 11 이르시되 하나님 나라의 비밀을 너희에게는 주었으나 외인에게는 모든 것을 비유로 하나니 |
| 12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. | 12 So that seeing they may see, and it will not be clear to them; and hearing it, they will not get the sense; for fear that they may be turned again to me and have forgiveness. | 12 이는 저희로 보기는 보아도 알지 못하며 듣기는 들어도 깨닫지 못하게 하여 돌이켜 죄 사함을 얻지 못하게 하려 함이니라 하시고 |
| 13 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables? | 13 And he said to them, If you are not clear about this story, how will you be clear about the others? | 13 또 가라사대 너희가 이 비유를 알지 못할찐대 어떻게 모든 비유를 알겠느뇨 |
| 14 The sower soweth the word. | 14 The seed is the word. | 14 뿌리는 자는 말씀을 뿌리는 것이라 |
| 15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. | 15 And these are they by the wayside, where the word is planted; and when they have given ear, the Evil One comes straight away and takes away the word which has been planted in them. | 15 말씀이 길 가에 뿌리웠다는 것은 이들이니 곧 말씀을 들었을 때에 사단이 즉시 와서 저희에게 뿌리운 말씀을 빼앗는 것이요 |
| 16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; | 16 And in the same way, these are they who are planted on the stones, who, when the word has come to their ears, straight away take it with joy; | 16 또 이와 같이 돌밭에 뿌리웠다는 것은 이들이니 곧 말씀을 들을 때에 즉시 기쁨으로 받으나 |
| 17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended. | 17 And they have no root in themselves, but go on for a time; then, when trouble comes or pain, because of the word, they quickly become full of doubts. | 17 그 속에 뿌리가 없어 잠간 견디다가 말씀을 인하여 환난이나 핍박이 일어나는 때에는 곧 넘어지는 자요 |
| 18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, | 18 And others are those planted among the thorns; these are they who have given ear to the word, | 18 또 어떤이는 가시떨기에 뿌리우는 자니 이들은 말씀을 듣되 |
| 19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. | 19 And the cares of this life, and the deceits of wealth, and the desire for other things coming in, put a stop to the growth of the word, and it gives no fruit. | 19 세상의 염려와 재리의 유혹과 기타 욕심이 들어와 말씀을 막아 결실치 못하게 되는 자요 |
| 20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some ㆍ sixty, and some an hundred. | 20 And these are they who were planted on the good earth; such as give ear to the word, and take it into their hearts, and give fruit, thirty and sixty and a hundred times as much. | 20 좋은 땅에 뿌리웠다는 것은 곧 말씀을 듣고 받아 삼십배와 육십배와 백배의 결실을 하는 자니라 |
| 21 And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick? | 21 And he said to them, When the light comes in, do people put it under a vessel, or under the bed, and not on its table? | 21 또 저희에게 이르시되 사람이 등불을 가져오는 것은 말 아래나 평상 아래나 두려 함이냐 등경 위에 두려 함이 아니냐 |
| 22 For there is nothing hid ㆍ, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad. | 22 There is nothing covered which will not be seen openly, and nothing has been made secret which will not come to light. | 22 드러내려 하지 않고는 숨긴 것이 없고 나타내려 하지 않고는 감추인 것이 없느니라 |

| 24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. | 24 And he said to them, Take care what you give ear to: in the same measure as you give you will get, and more will be given to you. | 24 또 가라사대 너희가 무엇을 듣는가 스스로 삼가라 너희의 헤아리는 그 헤아림으로 너희가 헤아림을 받을 것이요 또 더 받으리니 |

| 27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. | 27 And went to sleep and got up, night and day, and the seed came to growth, though he had no idea how. | 27 저가 밤낮 자고 깨고 하는 중에 씨가 나서 자라되 그 어떻게 된 것을 알지 못하느니라 |
| 28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. | 28 The earth gives fruit by herself; first the leaf, then the head, then the full grain. | 28 땅이 스스로 열매를 맺되 처음에는 싹이요 다음에는 이삭이요 그 다음에는 이삭에 충실한 곡식이라 |

| 31 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth: | 31 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is put in the earth, is smaller than all the seeds on the earth, | 31 겨자씨 한 알과 같으니 땅에 심길 때에는 땅위의 모든 씨보다 작은 것이로되 |
| 32 But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it. | 32 But when it is planted, it comes up, and becomes taller than all the plants, and puts out great branches, so that the birds of heaven are able to take rest in its shade. | 32 심긴 후에는 자라서 모든 나물보다 커지며 큰 가지를 내니 공중의 새들이 그 그늘에 깃들일 만큼 되느니라 |
| 33 And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were able to hear it. | 33 And with a number of such stories he gave them his teaching, as they were able to take it: | 33 예수께서 이러한 많은 비유로 저희가 알아 들을 수 있는대로 말씀을 가르치시되 |
| 34 But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone ㆍ, he expounded all things to his disciples. | 34 And without a story he said nothing to them: but privately to his disciples he made all things clear. | 34 비유가 아니면 말씀하지 아니하시고 다만 혼자 계실 때에 그 제자들에게 모든 것을 해석하시더라 |
| 35 And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. | 35 And on that day, when the evening had come, he said to them, Let us go over to the other side. | 35 그날 저물 때에 제자들에게 이르시되 우리가 저편으로 건너가자 하시니 |
| 36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. | 36 And going away from the people, they took him with them, as he was, in the boat. And other boats were with him. | 36 저희가 무리를 떠나 예수를 배에 계신 그대로 모시고 가매 다른 배들도 함께 하더니 |

| 39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. | 39 And he came out of his sleep, and gave strong orders to the wind, and said to the sea, Peace, be at rest. And the wind went down, and there was a great calm. | 39 예수께서 깨어 바람을 꾸짖으시며 바다더러 이르시되 잠잠하라 고요하라 하시니 바람이 그치고 아주 잔잔하여지더라 |
| 40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? | 40 And he said to them, Why are you full of fear? have you still no faith? | 40 이에 제자들에게 이르시되 어찌하여 이렇게 무서워하느냐 너희가 어찌 믿음이 없느냐 하시니 |
