5 And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he hath sinned in that thing:[x]MKJV: And it shall be when he is guilty in one of these, he shall confess that in which he has sinned. 8 And he shall bring them unto the priest, who shall offerthat which is for the sin offeringfirst, and wring off his headfrom his neck, but shall not divide itasunder:[x]MKJV: And he shall bring them to the priest, who shall offer for the sin offering first, and shall wring off its head from its neck, but shall not divide [it]. 11 But if he be not able to bringtwoturtledoves, or twoyoungpigeons, then he that sinned shall bring for his offering the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering; he shall put no oil upon it, neither shall he putanyfrankincense thereon: for it is a sin offering.[x]MKJV: But if he is not able to bring two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, then he that sinned shall bring for his offering the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering. 12 Then shall he bring it to the priest, and the priest shall take his handfulof it, even a memorial thereof, and burnit on the altar, according to the offerings made by fire unto the LORD: it is a sin offering.[x]MKJV: And he shall bring it to the priest, and the priest shall take his full handful of it, a memorial of it, and burn [it] on the altar, on the fire offering to the LORD. It is a sin offering. 13 And the priest shall make an atonement for him as touching his sin that he hath sinned in one of these, and it shall be forgiven him: and the remnant shall be the priest's, as a meat offering.[x]MKJV: And the priest shall make an atonement for him for his sin that he has sinned in one of these, and it shall be forgiven him. And [the rest] shall be the priest's, as a food offering. 17 And if a soulsin, and commitany of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the LORD; though he wistit not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.[x]MKJV: And if a soul sins, and he has done that which ought not to be done, any one from all the commands of the LORD, and does not know, and he is guilty and bears his iniquity; BBE: And if anyone does wrong, and does any of the things which the Lord has given orders are not to be done, though he has no knowledge of it, still he is in the wrong and he is responsible. 18 And he shall bring a ram without blemish out of the flock, with thy estimation, for a trespass offering, unto the priest: and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his ignorance wherein he erred and wistit not, and it shall be forgiven him.[x]MKJV: then he shall bring a ram without blemish out of the flock, at your evaluation, for a trespass offering, to the priest. And the priest shall make an atonement for him for his ignorance in which he erred without knowing it, and it shall be forgiven him.
