And the LORD spake unto Moses in mount Sinai, saying,1 And the Lord said to Moses on Mount Sinai,1 여호와께서 시내산에서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto the LORD.2 Say to the children of Israel, When you come into the land which I will give you, let the land keep a Sabbath to the Lord.2 이스라엘 자손에게 고하여 이르라 너희는 내가 너희에게 주는 땅에 들어간 후에 그 땅으로 여호와 앞에 안식하게 하라
Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof;3 For six years put seed into your land, and for six years give care to your vines and get in the produce of them;3 너는 육년 동안 그 밭에 파종하며 육년 동안 그 포도원을 다스려 그 열매를 거둘 것이나
But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the LORD: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.4 But let the seventh year be a Sabbath of rest for the land, a Sabbath to the Lord; do not put seed into your land or have your vines cut.4 제 칠년에는 땅으로 쉬어 안식하게 할찌니 여호와께 대한 안식이라 너는 그 밭에 파종하거나 포도원을 다스리지 말며
That which groweth of its own accord of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thy vine undressed: for it is a year of rest unto the land.5 That which comes to growth of itself may not be cut, and the grapes of your uncared-for vines may not be taken off; let it be a year of rest for the land.5 너의 곡물의 스스로 난 것을 거두지 말고 다스리지 아니한 포도나무의 맺은 열매를 거두지 말라 이는 땅의 안식년임이니라
And the sabbath of the land shall be meat for you; for thee, and for thy servant, and for thy maid, and for thy hired servant, and for thy stranger that sojourneth with thee,6 And the Sabbath of the land will give food for you and your man-servant and your woman-servant and those working for payment, and for those of another country who are living among you;6 안식년의 소출은 너희의 먹을 것이니 너와 네 남종과 네 여종과 네 품군과 너와 함께 거하는 객과
And for thy cattle, and for the beast that are in thy land, shall all the increase thereof be meat.7 And for your cattle and the beasts on the land; all the natural increase of the land will be for food.7 네 육축과 네 땅에 있는 들짐승들이 다 그 소산으로 식물을 삼을찌니라
And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years.8 And let seven Sabbaths of years be numbered to you, seven times seven years; even the days of seven Sabbaths of years, that is forty-nine years;8 너는 일곱 안식년을 계수할찌니 이는 칠년이 일곱번인즉 안식년 일곱번 동안 곧 사십 구년이라
Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.9 Then let the loud horn be sounded far and wide on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the day of taking away sin let the horn be sounded through all your land.9 칠월 십일은 속죄일이니 너는 나팔 소리를 내되 전국에서 나팔을 크게 불찌며
And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubilee unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.10 And let this fiftieth year be kept holy, and say publicly that everyone in the land is free from debt: it is the Jubilee, and every man may go back to his heritage and to his family.10 제 오십년을 거룩하게 하여 전국 거민에게 자유를 공포하라 이 해는 너희에게 희년이니 너희는 각각 그 기업으로 돌아가며 각각 그 가족에게로 돌아갈찌며
A jubilee shall that fiftieth year be unto you: ye shall not sow, neither reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of thy vine undressed.11 Let this fiftieth year be the Jubilee: no seed may be planted, and that which comes to growth of itself may not be cut, and the grapes may not be taken from the uncared-for vines.11 그 오십년은 너희의 희년이니 너희는 파종하지 말며 스스로 난 것을 거두지 말며 다스리지 아니한 포도를 거두지 말라
For it is the jubilee; it shall be holy unto you: ye shall eat the increase thereof out of the field.12 For it is the Jubilee, and it is holy to you; your food will be the natural increase of the field.12 이는 희년이니 너희에게 거룩함이니라 너희가 밭의 소산을 먹으리라
In the year of this jubilee ye shall return every man unto his possession.13 In this year of Jubilee, let every man go back to his heritage.13 이 희년에는 너희가 각기 기업으로 돌아갈찌라
And if thou sell ought unto thy neighbour, or buyest ought of thy neighbour's hand, ye shall not oppress one another:14 And in the business of trading goods for money, do no wrong to one another.14 네 이웃에게 팔든지 네 이웃의 손에서 사거든 너희는 서로 속이지 말라
According to the number of years after the jubilee thou shalt buy of thy neighbour, and according unto the number of years of the fruits he shall sell unto thee:15 Let your exchange of goods with your neighbours have relation to the number of years after the year of Jubilee, and the number of times the earth has given her produce.15 희년 후의 년수를 따라서 너는 이웃에게 살 것이요 그도 그 열매를 얻을 년수를 따라서 네게 팔것인즉
According to the multitude of years thou shalt increase the price thereof, and according to the fewness of years thou shalt diminish the price of it: for according to the number of the years of the fruits doth he sell unto thee.16 If the number of years is great, the price will be increased, and if the number of years is small, the price will be less, for it is the produce of a certain number of years which the man is giving you.16 년수가 많으면 너는 그 값을 많게 하고 년수가 적으면 너는 그 값을 적게 할찌니 곧 그가 그 열매의 다소를 따라서 네게 팔것이라
Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God: for I am the LORD your God.17 And do no wrong, one to another, but let the fear of your God be before you; for I am the Lord your God.17 너희는 서로 속이지 말고 너희의 하나님을 경외하라 나는 너희 하나님 여호와니라
Wherefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.18 So keep my rules and my decisions and do them, and you will be safe in your land.18 너희는 내 법도를 행하며 내 규례를 지켜 행하라 그리하면 너희가 그 땅에 안전히 거할 것이라
And the land shall yield her fruit, and ye shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.19 And the land will give her fruit, and you will have food in full measure and be safe in the land.19 땅은 그 산물을 내리니 너희가 배불리 먹고 거기 안전히 거하리라
And if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase:20 And if you say, Where will our food come from in the seventh year, when we may not put in seed, or get in the increase20 혹 너희 말이 우리가 만일 제 칠년에 심지도 못하고 그 산물을 거두지도 못하면 무엇을 먹으리요 하겠으나
Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.21 Then I will send my blessing on you in the sixth year, and the land will give fruit enough for three years.21 내가 명하여 제 육년에 내 복을 너희에게 내려 그 소출이 삼년 쓰기에 족하게 할찌라
And ye shall sow the eighth year, and eat yet of old fruit until the ninth year; until her fruits come in ye shall eat of the old store.22 And in the eighth year you will put in your seed, and get your food from the old stores, till the fruit of the ninth year is ready.22 너희가 제 팔년에는 파종하려니와 묵은 곡식을 먹을 것이며 제 구년 곧 추수하기까지 묵은 곡식을 먹으리라
The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine; for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.23 No exchange of land may be for ever, for the land is mine, and you are as my guests, living with me for a time.23 토지를 영영히 팔지 말것은 토지는 다 내 것임이라 너희는 나그네요 우거하는 자로서 나와 함께 있느니라
And in all the land of your possession ye shall grant a redemption for the land.24 Wherever there is property in land, the owner is to have the right of getting it back.24 너희 기업의 온 땅에서 그 토지 무르기를 허락할찌니
If thy brother be waxen poor, and hath sold away some of his possession, and if any of his kin come to redeem it, then shall he redeem that which his brother sold.25 If your brother becomes poor, and has to give up some of his land for money, his nearest relation may come and get back that which his brother has given up.25 만일 너희 형제가 가난하여 그 기업 얼마를 팔았으면 그 근족이 와서 동족의 판 것을 무를 것이요
And if the man have none to redeem it, and himself be able to redeem it;26 And if he has no one to get it back for him, and later he himself gets wealth and has enough money to get it back;26 만일 그것을 무를 사람이 없고 자기가 부요하게 되어 무를 힘이 있거든
Then let him count the years of the sale thereof, and restore the overplus unto the man to whom he sold it; that he may return unto his possession.27 Then let him take into account the years from the time when he gave it up, and make up the loss for the rest of the years to him who took it, and so get back his property.27 그 판 해를 계수하여 그 남은 값을 산 자에게 주고 그 기업으로 돌아갈 것이니라
But if he be not able to restore it to him, then that which is sold shall remain in the hand of him that hath bought it until the year of jubilee: and in the jubilee it shall go out, and he shall return unto his possession.28 But if he is not able to get it back for himself, then it will be kept by him who gave a price for it, till the year of Jubilee; and in that year it will go back to its first owner and he will have his property again.28 그러나 자기가 무를 힘이 없으면 그 판것이 희년이 이르기까지 산 자의 손에 있다가 희년에 미쳐 돌아올찌니 그가 곧 그 기업으로 돌아갈 것이니라
And if a man sell a dwelling house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold; within a full year may he redeem it.29 And if a man gives his house in a walled town for money, he has the right to get it back for the space of a full year after he has given it up.29 성벽 있는 성내의 가옥을 팔았으면 판지 만 일년 안에는 무를 수 있나니 곧 그 기한 안에 무르려니와
And if it be not redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be established for ever to him that bought it throughout his generations: it shall not go out in the jubilee.30 And if he does not get it back by the end of the year, then the house in the town will become the property of him who gave the money for it, and of his children for ever; it will not go from him in the year of Jubilee.30 주년 내에 무르지 못하면 그 성내 가옥은 산 자의 소유로 확정되어 대대로 영영히 그에게 속하고 희년에라도 돌려 보내지 아니할 것이니라
But the houses of the villages which have no wall round about them shall be counted as the fields of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall go out in the jubilee.31 But houses in small unwalled towns will be the same as property in the country; they may be got back, and they will go back to their owners in the year of Jubilee.31 그러나 성벽이 둘리지 아니한 촌락의 가옥은 나라의 전토 일례로 물러주기도 할 것이요 희년에 돌려 보내기도 할것이니라
Notwithstanding the cities of the Levites, and the houses of the cities of their possession, may the Levites redeem at any time.32 But the houses in the towns of the Levites may be got back by the Levites at any time.32 레위 족속의 성읍 곧 그 기업의 성읍의 가옥은 레위 사람이 언제든지 무를 수 있으나
And if a man purchase of the Levites, then the house that was sold, and the city of his possession, shall go out in the year of jubilee: for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the children of Israel.33 And if a Levite does not give money to get back his property, his house in the town which was exchanged for money will come back to him in the year of Jubilee. For the houses of the towns of the Levites are their property among the children of Israel.33 레위 사람이 만일 무르지 아니하면 그 기업된 성읍의 판 가옥은 희년에 돌려 보낼찌니 대저 레위 사람의 성읍의 가옥은 이스라엘 자손 중에서 얻은 기업이 됨이니라
But the field of the suburbs of their cities may not be sold; for it is their perpetual possession.34 But the land on the outskirts of their towns may not be exchanged for money, for it is their property for ever.34 그러나 그 성읍의 들의 사면 밭은 그의 영원한 기업이니 팔지 못할찌니라
And if thy brother be waxen poor, and fallen in decay with thee; then thou shalt relieve him: yea, though he be a stranger, or a sojourner; that he may live with thee.35 And if your brother becomes poor and is not able to make a living, then you are to keep him with you, helping him as you would a man from another country who is living among you.35 네 동족이 빈한하게 되어 빈손으로 네 곁에 있거든 너는 그를 도와 객이나 우거하는 자처럼 너와 함께 생활하게 하되
Take thou no usury of him, or increase: but fear thy God; that thy brother may live with thee.36 Take no interest from him, in money or in goods, but have the fear of your God before you, and let your brother make a living among you.36 너는 그에게 이식을 취하지 말고 네 하나님을 경외하여 네 형제로 너와 함께 생활하게 할것인즉
Thou shalt not give him thy money upon usury, nor lend him thy victuals for increase.37 Do not take interest on the money which you let him have or on the food which you give him.37 너는 그에게 이식을 위하여 돈을 꾸이지 말고 이익을 위하여 식물을 꾸이지 말라
I am the LORD your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, and to be your God.38 I am the Lord your God, who took you out of the land of Egypt to give you the land of Canaan, that I might be your God.38 나는 너희 하나님이 되려고 또는 가나안 땅으로 너희에게 주려고 애굽 땅에서 너희를 인도하여 낸 너희 하나님 여호와니라
And if thy brother that dwelleth by thee be waxen poor, and be sold unto thee; thou shalt not compel him to serve as a bondservant:39 And if your brother becomes poor and gives himself to you for money, do not make use of him like a servant who is your property;39 네 동족이 빈한하게 되어 네게 몸이 팔리거든 너는 그를 종으로 부리지 말고
But as an hired servant, and as a sojourner, he shall be with thee, and shall serve thee unto the year of jubilee:40 But let him be with you as a servant working for payment, till the year of Jubilee;40 품군이나 우거하는 자 같이 너와 함께 있게 하여 희년까지 너를 섬기게 하라
And then shall he depart from thee, both he and his children with him, and shall return unto his own family, and unto the possession of his fathers shall he return.41 Then he will go out from you, he and his children with him, and go back to his family and to the property of his fathers.41 그 때에는 그와 그 자녀가 함께 네게서 떠나 그 본족에게로 돌아가서 조상의 기업을 회복하리라
For they are my servants, which I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: they shall not be sold as bondmen.42 For they are my servants whom I took out from the land of Egypt; they may not become the property of another.42 그들은 내가 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 낸바 나의 품군인즉 종으로 팔리지 말 것이라
Thou shalt not rule over him with rigour; but shalt fear thy God.43 Do not be a hard master to him, but have the fear of God before you.43 너는 그를 엄하게 부리지 말고 너의 하나님을 경외하라
Both thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt have, shall be of the heathen that are round about you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids.44 But you may get servants as property from among the nations round about; from them you may take men-servants and women-servants.44 너의 종은 남녀를 무론하고 너의 사면 이방인 중에서 취할찌니 남녀 종은 이런 자 중에서 살 것이며
Moreover of the children of the strangers that do sojourn among you, of them shall ye buy, and of their families that are with you, which they begat in your land: and they shall be your possession.45 And in addition, you may get, for money, servants from among the children of other nations who are living with you, and from their families which have come to birth in your land; and these will be your property.45 또 너희 중에 우거한 이방인의 자녀 중에서도 너희가 살 수 있고 또 그들이 너희 중에서 살아서 너희 땅에서 가정을 이룬 그 중에서도 그리 할 수 있은즉 그들이 너희 소유가 될찌니
And ye shall take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit them for a possession; they shall be your bondmen for ever: but over your brethren the children of Israel, ye shall not rule one over another with rigour.46 And they will be your children's heritage after you, to keep as their property; they will be your servants for ever; but you may not be hard masters to your countrymen, the children of Israel.46 너희는 그들을 너희 후손에게 기업으로 주어 소유가 되게 할것이라 이방인 중에서는 너희가 영원한 종을 삼으려니와 너희 동족 이스라엘 자손은 너희 피차 엄하게 부리지 말찌니라
And if a sojourner or stranger wax rich by thee, and thy brother that dwelleth by him wax poor, and sell himself unto the stranger or sojourner by thee, or to the stock of the stranger's family:47 And if one from another nation living among you gets wealth, and your countryman, at his side, becomes poor and gives himself for money to the man from another nation or to one of his family;47 너희 중에 우거하는 이방인은 부요하게 되고 그 곁에 사는 너희 동족은 빈한하게 됨으로 너희 중에 우거하는 그 이방인에게나 그 족속에게 몸이 팔렸으면
After that he is sold he may be redeemed again; one of his brethren may redeem him:48 After he has given himself he has the right to be made free, for a price, by one of his brothers,48 팔린 후에 그를 속량할 수 있나니 그 형제 중 하나가 속하거나
Either his uncle, or his uncle's son, may redeem him, or any that is nigh of kin unto him of his family may redeem him; or if he be able, he may redeem himself.49 Or his father's brother, or the son of his father's brother, or any near relation; or if he gets money, he may make himself free.49 삼촌이나 사촌이 속하거나 그 근족 중 누구든지 속할 것이요 그가 부요하게 되면 스스로 속하되
And he shall reckon with him that bought him from the year that he was sold to him unto the year of jubilee: and the price of his sale shall be according unto the number of years, according to the time of an hired servant shall it be with him.50 And let the years be numbered from the time when he gave himself to his owner till the year of Jubilee, and the price given for him will be in relation to the number of years, on the scale of the payment of a servant.50 자기 몸이 팔린 해로부터 희년까지를 그 산 자와 계산하여 그 년수를 따라서 그 몸의 값을 정할 때에 그 사람을 섬긴 날을 그 사람에게 고용된 날로 여길 것이라
If there be yet many years behind, according unto them he shall give again the price of his redemption out of the money that he was bought for.51 If there is still a long time, he will give back, on account of it, a part of the price which was given for him.51 만일 남은 해가 많으면 그 년수대로 팔린 값에서 속하는 값을 그 사람에게 도로 주고
And if there remain but few years unto the year of jubilee, then he shall count with him, and according unto his years shall he give him again the price of his redemption.52 And if there is only a short time, he will take account of it with his master, and in relation to the number of years he will give back the price of making him free.52 만일 희년까지 남은 해가 적으면 그 사람과 계산하여 그 년수대로 속하는 그 값을 그에게 도로 줄찌며
And as a yearly hired servant shall he be with him: and the other shall not rule with rigour over him in thy sight.53 And he will be with him as a servant working for payment year by year; his master is not to be cruel to him before your eyes.53 주인은 그를 매년의 삯군과 같이 여기고 너의 목전에서 엄하게 부리지 못하리라
And if he be not redeemed in these years, then he shall go out in the year of jubilee, both he, and his children with him.54 And if he is not made free in this way, he will go out in the year of Jubilee, he and his children with him.54 그가 이같이 속하지 못하면 희년에 이르러 그와 그 자녀가 자유하리니
For unto me the children of Israel are servants; they are my servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.55 For the children of Israel are servants to me; they are my servants whom I took out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.55 이스라엘 자손은 나의 품군이 됨이라 그들은 내가 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 낸 나의 품군이요 나는 너희 하나님 여호와니라
