16 But Ehudmade him a dagger which had twoedges, of a cubitlength; and he did gird it under his raiment upon his rightthigh.[x]MKJV: But Ehud made himself a dagger which had two edges, a cubit long. And he tied it under his clothing upon his right thigh. BBE: So Ehud made himself a two-edged sword, a cubit long, which he put on at his right side under his robe. 20 And Ehudcame unto him; and he was sitting in a summerparlour, which he had for himself alone. And Ehudsaid, I have a message from God unto thee. And he arose out of hisseat.[x]MKJV: And Ehud came to him. And he was sitting [in] the cool roof room which he had for himself alone. And Ehud said, I have a message from God to you. And he rose out of his seat. BBE: Then Ehud came in to him while he was seated by himself in his summer-house. And Ehud said, I have a word from God for you. And he got up from his seat. 24 Now when he had gone, the king's servants came, and saw that the doors of the summer-house were locked; and they said, It may be that he is in his summer-house for a private purpose.
24 에훗이 나간 후에 왕의 신하들이 와서 다락문이 잠겼음을 보고 가로되 왕이 필연 다락방에서 발을 가리우신다 하고
25 And they tarried till they were ashamed: and, behold, he opened not the doors of the parlour; therefore they took a key, and openedthem: and, behold, their lordwas fallen downdead on the earth.[x]MKJV: And they waited until they were ashamed. And, behold, he did not open the doors of the room. And they took a key and opened them. And behold, their lord [had] fallen down dead on the earth. BBE: And they went on waiting till they were shamed, but the doors were still shut; so they took the key, and, opening them, saw their lord stretched out dead on the floor. KAV: 스스로 부끄럽게 되기까지 오래 기다렸으나, 보라, 왕이 거실 문들을 열지 아니하므로 그들이 열쇠를 취하여 문들을 여니, 보라, 자기들의 주가 땅에 쓰러져 죽었더라.
25 And they went on waiting till they were shamed, but the doors were still shut; so they took the key, and, opening them, saw their lord stretched out dead on the floor.
25 그들이 오래 기다려도 왕이 다락문을 열지 아니하는지라 열쇠를 취하여 열고 본즉 자기 주가 이미 죽어 땅에 엎드러졌더라
26 And Ehudescaped while they tarried, and passed beyond the quarries, and escaped unto Seirath.[x]MKJV: And Ehud escaped while they waited, and passed beyond the graven images, and escaped to Seirath. BBE: But Ehud had got away while they were waiting and had gone past the stone images and got away to Seirah. KAV: 그들이 기다리는 동안 에훗은 도망하여 돌 뜨는 곳을 지나 스이랏으로 도망하니라.

27 And it came to pass, when he was come, that he blew a trumpet in the mountain of Ephraim, and the children of Israel went down with him from the mount, and he before them.[x]MKJV: And it happened, when he had come, he blew a ram's horn in the mountain of Ephraim, and the sons of Israel went down with him from the mountain, and he before them. BBE: And when he came there, he had a horn sounded in the hill-country of Ephraim, and all the children of Israel went down with him from the hill-country, and he at their head. 27 And when he came there, he had a horn sounded in the hill-country of Ephraim, and all the children of Israel went down with him from the hill-country, and he at their head.
27 그가 이르러서는 에브라임 산지에서 나팔을 불매 이스라엘 자손이 산지에서 그를 따라 내려오니 에훗이 앞서 가며
28 And he said unto them, Followafter me: for the LORD hath delivered your enemies the Moabites into your hand. And they went downafter him, and took the fords of Jordan toward Moab, and suffered not a man to pass over.[x]MKJV: And he said to them, Follow after me. For the LORD has delivered your enemies the Moabites into your hand. And they went down after him and took the fords of Jordan toward Moab, and did not allow a man to pass over. BBE: And he said to them, Come after me; for the Lord has given the Moabites, your haters, into your hands. So they went down after him and took the crossing-places of Jordan against Moab, and let no one go across. 28 And he said to them, Come after me; for the Lord has given the Moabites, your haters, into your hands. So they went down after him and took the crossing-places of Jordan against Moab, and let no one go across.
28 무리에게 이르되 나를 따르라 여호와께서 너희 대적 모압 사람을 너희의 손에 붙이셨느니라 하매 무리가 에훗을 따라 내려가서 모압 맞은편 요단강 나루를 잡아 지켜 한 사람도 건너지 못하게 하였고
29 And they slew of Moab at that time about tenthousandmen, all lusty, and all men of valour; and there escaped not a man.[x]MKJV: And they killed about ten thousand of the men of Moab at that time, all lusty, and all men of might. And there did not escape a man. BBE: At that time they put about ten thousand men of Moab to the sword, every strong man and every man of war; not a man got away. 29 At that time they put about ten thousand men of Moab to the sword, every strong man and every man of war; not a man got away.
29 그 때에 모압 사람 일만명 가량을 죽였으니 다 역사요 용사라 한 사람도 피하지 못하였더라
30 So Moab was subdued that day under the hand of Israel. And the land had restfourscoreyears.[x]MKJV: So Moab was subdued under the hand of Israel that day. And the land had rest eighty years. BBE: So Moab was broken that day under the hand of Israel. And for eighty years the land had peace. KAV: 이처럼 그 날에 모압이 이스라엘의 손 밑에 굴복하매 그 땅에 팔십 년 동안 안식이 있었더라. TSK: And the land: jud 3:11, jud 5:31

31 And after him was Shamgar the son of Anath, which slew of the Philistinessixhundredmen with an oxgoad: and he also deliveredIsrael.[x]MKJV: And after him was Shamgar the son of Anath, who killed six hundred men of the Philistines with an ox goad. And he also delivered Israel. BBE: And after him came Shamgar, the son of Anath, who put to death six hundred Philistines with an ox-stick; and he was another saviour of Israel. KAV: ¶ 에훗 이후에 아낫의 아들 삼갈이 있었는데 그가 소를 모는 가시 채로 블레셋 사람 육백 명을 죽였고 그도 이스라엘을 건져 내었더라. 31 에훗의 후에 아낫의 아들 삼갈이 사사로 있어 소 모는 막대기로 블레셋 사람 육백명을 죽였고 그도 이스라엘을 구원하였더라
