1 And there was a man of mount Ephraim, whose name was Micah.1 Now there was a man of the hill-country of Ephraim named Micah.1 에브라임 산지에 미가라 이름하는 사람이 있더니
2 And he said unto his mother, The eleven hundred shekels of silver that were taken from thee, about which thou cursedst, and spakest of also in mine ears, behold, the silver is with me; I took it. And his mother said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my son.2 And he said to his mother, The eleven hundred shekels of silver which were taken from you, about which you took an oath and said in my hearing, I have given this silver to the Lord from my hand for myself, to make a pictured image and a metal image: see, I have the silver, for I took it: so now I will give it back to you. And his mother said, May the blessing of the Lord be on my son.2 그 어미에게 이르되 어머니께서 은 일천 일백을 잃어버리셨으므로 저주하시고 내 귀에도 말씀하셨더니 보소서 그 은이 내게 있나이다 내가 그것을 취하였나이다 어미가 가로되 내 아들이 여호와께 복 받기를 원하노라 하니라
3 And when he had restored the eleven hundred shekels of silver to his mother, his mother said, I had wholly dedicated the silver unto the LORD from my hand for my son, to make a graven image and a molten image: now therefore I will restore it unto thee.3 And he gave back the eleven hundred shekels of silver to his mother, and his mother said, I have made the silver holy to the Lord from me for my son, to make a pictured image and a metal image.3 미가가 은 일천 일백을 그 어미에게 도로 주매 어미가 가로되 내가 내 아들을 위하여 한 신상을 새기며 한 신상을 부어 만들 차로 내 손에서 이 은을 여호와께 거룩히 드리노라 그러므로 내가 이제 이 은을 네게 도로 돌리리라
4 Yet he restored the money unto his mother; and his mother took two hundred shekels of silver, and gave them to the founder, who made thereof a graven image and a molten image: and they were in the house of Micah.4 So he gave the silver back to his mother. Then his mother took two hundred shekels of silver and gave them to a metal-worker who made a pictured image and a metal image from them: and it was in the house of Micah.4 미가가 그 은을 어미에게 도로 주었으므로 어미가 그 은 이백을 취하여 은장색에게 주어 한 신상을 새기며 한 신상을 부어만들었더니 그 신상이 미가의 집에 있더라
5 And the man Micah had an house of gods, and made an ephod, and teraphim, and consecrated ㆍ one of his sons, who became his priest.5 And the man Micah had a house of gods; and he made an ephod and family gods and put one of his sons in the position of priest.5 이 사람 미가에게 신당이 있으므로 또 에봇과 드라빔을 만들고 한 아들을 세워 제사장을 삼았더라
6 In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.6 In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did as seemed right to him.6 그 때에는 이스라엘에 왕이 없으므로 사람마다 자기 소견에 옳은대로 행하였더라
7 And there was a young man out of Bethlehemjudah of the family of Judah, who was a Levite, and he sojourned there.7 Now there was a young man living in Beth-lehem-judah, of the family of Judah and a Levite, who was not a townsman of the place.7 유다 가족에 속한 유다 베들레헴에 한 소년이 있으니 그는 레위인으로서 거기 우거하였더라
8 And the man departed out of the city from Bethlehemjudah to sojourn where he could find a place: and he came to mount Ephraim to the house of Micah, as he journeyed.8 And he went away from the town of Beth-lehem-judah, looking for somewhere to make his living-place; and on his journey he came to the hill-country of Ephraim, to the house of Micah.8 이 사람이 거할 곳을 찾고자 하여 그 성읍 유다 베들레헴을 떠나서 행하다가 에브라임 산지로 가서 미가의 집에 이르매
9 And Micah said unto him, Whence comest thou? And he said unto him, I am a Levite of Bethlehemjudah ㆍ, and I go to sojourn where I may find a place.9 And Micah said to him, Where do you come from? And he said to him, I am a Levite from Beth-lehem-judah, and I am looking for a living-place.9 미가가 그에게 묻되 너는 어디서부터 오느뇨 그가 이르되 나는 유다 베들레헴의 레위인으로서 거할 곳을 찾으러 가노라
10 And Micah said unto him, Dwell with me, and be unto me a father and a priest, and I will give thee ten shekels of silver by the year, and a suit of apparel, and thy victuals. So the Levite went in.10 Then Micah said to him, Make your living-place with me, and be a father and a priest to me, and I will give you ten shekels of silver a year and your clothing and food.10 미가가 그에게 이르되 네가 나와 함께 거하여 나를 위하여 아비와 제사장이 되라 내가 해마다 은 열과 의복 한벌과 식물을 주리라 하므로 레위인이 들어갔더니
11 And the Levite was content to dwell with the man; and the young man was unto him as one of his sons.11 And the Levite said he would make his living-place with the man, and he became to him as one of his sons.11 레위인이 그 사람과 함께 거하기를 만족히 여겼으니 이는 그 소년이 미가의 아들 중 하나 같이 됨이라
12 And Micah consecrated ㆍ the Levite; and the young man became his priest, and was in the house of Micah.12 And Micah gave the position to the Levite, and the young man became his priest, and was in the house of Micah.12 미가가 레위인을 거룩히 구별하매 소년이 미가의 제사장이 되어 그 집에 거한지라
13 Then said Micah, Now know I that the LORD will do me good, seeing I have a Levite to my priest.13 Then Micah said, Now I am certain that the Lord will do me good, seeing that the Levite has become my priest.13 이에 미가가 가로되 레위인이 내 제사장이 되었으니 이제 여호와께서 내게 복 주실 줄을 아노라 하니라
