5 And it shall come to pass, that when they make a longblast with the ram'shorn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a greatshout; and the wall of the city shall fall downflat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.[x]MKJV: And it shall be when they make a long [blast] with the ram's horn, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout. 8 And it came to pass, when Joshua had spoken unto the people, that the sevenpriestsbearing the seventrumpets of rams horns passed onbefore the LORD, and blew with the trumpets: and the ark of the covenant of the LORDfollowedthem.[x]MKJV: And it happened when Joshua had spoken to the people, the seven priests bearing the seven ram's horns passed on before the LORD and blew the ram's horns. 9 And the armed men went before the priests who were blowing the horns, and the mass of the people went after the ark, blowing their horns.

11 So the ark of the LORDcompassed the city, going aboutitonceㆍ: and they came into the camp, and lodged in the camp.[x]MKJV: And the ark of the LORD went around the city, going around [it] once. 14 And the secondday they compassed the cityonceㆍ, and returned into the camp: so they didsixdays.[x]MKJV: And the second day they went around the city once, and returned to the camp. 18 And ye, in any wisekeepyourselves from the accursed thing, lest ye make yourselvesaccursed, when ye take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it.[x]MKJV: And you surely shall keep [clear of] the cursed thing, lest you make yourselves cursed when you take of the cursed things, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it. BBE: And as for you, keep yourselves from the cursed thing, for fear that you may get a desire for it and take some of it for yourselves, and so be the cause of a curse and great trouble on the tents of Israel. 23 So the searchers went in and got out Rahab and her father and mother and her brothers and all she had, and they got out all her family; and they took them outside the tents of Israel.
23 정탐한 소년들이 들어가서 라합과 그 부모와 그 형제와 그에게 속한 모든 것을 이끌어 내고 또 그 친족도 다 이끌어 내어 그들을 이스라엘 진 밖에 두고
24 And they burnt the city with fire, and all that was therein: only the silver, and the gold, and the vessels of brass and of iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the LORD.[x]MKJV: And they burned the city with fire, and all that [was] in it. Only the silver and the gold, and the vessels of bronze and iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the LORD. 25 And JoshuasavedRahab the harlotalive, and her father'shousehold, and all that she had; and she dwellethinIsraeleven unto this day; because she hid the messengers, which Joshuasent to spy outJericho.[x]MKJV: And Joshua saved Rahab the harlot alive, and her father's household, and all that she had. And she lives in Israel to this day, because she hid the messengers whom Joshua sent to spy out Jericho. 26 And Joshuaadjuredthem at that time, saying, Cursedbe the manbefore the LORD, that riseth up and buildeth this cityJericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngestson shall he set up the gates of it.[x]MKJV: And Joshua charged [them] at that time, saying, Cursed before the LORD [is] the man who rises up and builds this city of Jericho. He shall lay the foundation of it in his first-born, and in his youngest [son] he shall set up the gates of it. BBE: Then Joshua gave the people orders with an oath, saying, Let that man be cursed before the Lord who puts his hand to the building up of this town: with the loss of his first son will he put the first stone of it in place, and with the loss of his youngest son he will put up its doors. 26 Then Joshua gave the people orders with an oath, saying, Let that man be cursed before the Lord who puts his hand to the building up of this town: with the loss of his first son will he put the first stone of it in place, and with the loss of his youngest son he will put up its doors.
