1 This then was the lot of the tribe of the children of Judah by their families; even to the border of Edom the wilderness of Zin southward was the uttermost part of the south coast.1 Now the part of the land marked out for the children of Judah by families, went up to the edge of Edom, as far as the waste land of Zin to the south, to the farthest point of it on the south.1 유다 자손의 지파가 그 가족대로 제비 뽑은 땅의 극남단은 에돔 지경에 이르고 또 남으로 신 광야까지라
2 And their south border was from the shore of the salt sea, from the bay that looketh southward:2 Their south limit was from the farthest part of the Salt Sea, from the inlet looking to the south:2 그 남편 경계는 염해의 극단 곧 남향한 해만에서부터
3 And it went out to the south side to Maalehacrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and ascended up on the south side unto Kadeshbarnea, and passed along to Hezron, and went up to Adar, and fetched a compass to Karkaa:3 From there it goes south of the slope up to Akrabbim, and on to Zin, then south past Kadesh-barnea, and on by Hezron and up to Addar, turning in the direction of Karka:3 아그랍빔 비탈 남편으로 지나 신에 이르고 가데스 바네아 남편으로 올라가서 헤스론을 지나며 아달로 올라가서 돌이켜 갈가에 이르고
4 From thence it passed toward Azmon, and went out unto the river of Egypt; and the goings out of that coast were at the sea: this shall be your south coast.4 Then on to Azmon, ending at the stream of Egypt: and the end of the limit is at the sea; this will be your limit on the south.4 거기서 아스몬에 이르고 애굽 시내에 미치며 바다에 이르러 경계의 끝이 되나니 이것이 너희 남편 경계가 되리라
5 And the east border was the salt sea, even unto the end of Jordan. And their border in the north quarter was from the bay of the sea at the uttermost part of Jordan:5 And the east limit is the Salt Sea as far as the end of Jordan. And the limit of the north part of the land is from the inlet of the sea at the end of Jordan:5 그 동편 경계는 염해니 요단 끝까지요 그 북편 경계는 요단 끝에 당한 해만에서부터
6 And the border went up to Bethhogla, and passed along by the north of Betharabah; and the border went up to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben:6 Then the line goes up to Beth-hoglah, past the north of Beth-arabah, and up to the stone of Bohan, the son of Reuben;6 벧호글라로 올라가서 벧 아라바 북편을 지나 르우벤 자손 보한의 돌에 이르고
7 And the border went up toward Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is before the going up to Adummim, which is on the south side of the river: and the border passed toward the waters of Enshemesh, and the goings out thereof were at Enrogel:7 Then the line goes up to Debir from the valley of Achor, and so to the north, in the direction of Gilgal, which is opposite the slope up to Adummim, on the south side of the river: and the line goes on to the waters of En-shemesh, ending at En-rogel:7 또 아골 골짜기에서부터 드빌을 지나 북으로 올라가서 강 남편에 있는 아둠밈 비탈 맞은편 길갈을 향하고 나아가 엔 세메스 물을 지나 엔로겔에 이르며
8 And the border went up by the valley of the son of Hinnom unto the south side of the Jebusite; the same is Jerusalem: and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lieth before the valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the end of the valley of the giants northward:8 Then the line goes up by the valley of the son of Hinnom to the south side of the Jebusite (which is Jerusalem): then up to the top of the mountain in front of the valley of Hinnom to the west, which is at the farthest point of the valley of Rephaim on the north:8 또 힌놈의 아들의 골짜기로 올라가서 여부스 곧 예루살렘 남편 어깨에 이르며 또 힌놈의 골짜기 앞 서편에 있는 산 꼭대기로 올라가나니 이곳은 르바임 골짜기 북편 끝이며
9 And the border was drawn from the top of the hill unto the fountain of the water of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of mount Ephron; and the border was drawn to Baalah, which is Kirjathjearim:9 And the limit is marked out from the top of the mountain to the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and out to the towns of Mount Ephron, as far as Baalah (which is Kiriath-jearim):9 또 이 산 꼭대기에서부터 넵도아 샘물까지 이르러 에브론산 성읍들에 미치고 또 바알라 곧 기럇 여아림에 미치며
10 And the border compassed from Baalah westward unto mount Seir, and passed along unto the side of mount Jearim, which is Chesalon, on the north side, and went down to Bethshemesh, and passed on to Timnah:10 Then turning west, the line goes from Baalah to Mount Seir, and on to the side of Mount Jearim (which is Chesalon) on the north, then down to Beth-shemesh, and on past Timnah:10 또 바알라에서부터 서편으로 돌이켜 세일산에 이르러 여아림 산 곧 그살론 곁 북편에 이르고 또 벧 세메스로 내려가서 딤나로 지나고
11 And the border went out unto the side of Ekron northward: and the border was drawn to Shicron, and passed along to mount Baalah, and went out unto Jabneel; and the goings out of the border were at the sea.11 And out to the side of Ekron to the north: then it is marked out to Shikkeron and on to Mount Baalah, ending at Jabneel; the end of the line is at the sea.11 또 에그론 북편으로 나아가 식그론에 이르러 바알라산에 미치고 얍느엘에 이르나니 그 끝은 바다며
12 And the west border was to the great sea, and the coast thereof. This is the coast of the children of Judah round about according to their families.12 And the limit on the west is the edge of the Great Sea. This is the line going round the land marked out for the children of Judah, by their families.12 서편 경계는 대해와 그 해변이니 유다 자손이 그 가족대로 얻은 사면 경계가 이러하니라
13 And unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a part among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the LORD to Joshua, even the city of Arba ㆍ the father of Anak, which city is Hebron.13 And to Caleb, the son of Jephunneh, he gave a part among the children of Judah, as the Lord had given orders to Joshua, that is, Kiriath-arba, named after Arba, the father of Anak which is Hebron.13 여호와께서 여호수아에게 명하신대로 여호수아가 기럇 아르바 곧 헤브론 성을 유다 자손 중에서 분깃으로 여분네의 아들 갈렙에게 주었으니 아르바는 아낙의 아비였더라
14 And Caleb drove thence the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak.14 And the three sons of Anak, Sheshai and Ahiman and Talmai, the children of Anak, were forced out from there by Caleb.14 갈렙이 거기서 아낙의 소생 곧 그 세 아들 세새와 아히만과 달매를 쫓아내었고
15 And he went up thence to the inhabitants of Debir: and the name of Debir before was Kirjathsepher.15 From there he went up against the people of Debir: (now the name of Debir before that was Kiriath-sepher.)15 거기서 올라가서 드빌 거민을 쳤는데 드빌의 본 이름은 기럇 세벨이라
16 And Caleb said, He that smiteth Kirjathsepher, and taketh it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter to wife.16 And Caleb said, I will give Achsah, my daughter, as wife to the man who overcomes Kiriath-sepher and takes it.16 갈렙이 말하기를 기럇 세벨을 쳐서 그것을 취하는 자에게는 내가 내 딸 악사를 아내로 주리라 하였더니
17 And Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter to wife.17 And Othniel, the son of Kenaz, Caleb's brother, took it: so he gave him his daughter Achsah for his wife.17 갈렙의 아우요 그나스의 아들인 옷니엘이 그것을 취함으로 갈렙이 그 딸 악사를 그에게 아내로 주었더라
18 And it came to pass, as she came unto him, that she moved him to ask of her father a field: and she lighted off her ass; and Caleb said unto her, What wouldest thou?18 Now when she came to him, he put into her mind the idea of requesting a field from her father: and she got down from her ass; and Caleb said to her, What is it?18 악사가 출가할 때에 그에게 청하여 자기 아비에게 밭을 구하자 하고 나귀에서 내리매 갈렙이 그에게 묻되 네가 무엇을 원하느냐
19 Who answered, Give me a blessing; for thou hast given me a south land; give me also springs of water. And he gave her the upper springs, and the nether springs.19 And she said, Give me a blessing; because you have put me in dry south-land, now give me springs of water. So he gave her the higher spring and the lower spring.19 가로되 내게 복을 주소서 아버지께서 나를 남방 땅으로 보내시오니 샘물도 내게 주소서 하매 갈렙이 윗샘과 아랫샘을 그에게 주었더라
20 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families.20 This is the heritage of the tribe of Judah, by their families.20 유다 자손의 지파가 그 가족대로 얻은 기업은 이러하니라
21 And the uttermost cities of the tribe of the children of Judah toward the coast of Edom southward were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur,21 The farthest towns of the tribe of Judah in the direction of the limits of Edom to the south, were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur;21 유다 자손의 지파의 남으로 에돔 경계에 접근한 성읍들은 갑스엘과 에델과 야굴과
22 And Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah,22 And Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah;22 기나와 디모나와 아다다와
23 And Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan,23 And Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan;23 게데스와 하솔과 잇난과

32 And Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon: all the cities are twenty and nine, with their villages:32 And Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon; all the towns are twenty-nine, with their unwalled places.32 실힘과 아인과 림몬이니 모두 이십 구 성읍이요 또 그 촌락이었으며
33 And in the valley, Eshtaol, and Zoreah, and Ashnah,33 In the lowland, Eshtaol, and Zorah, and Ashnah;33 평지에는 에스다올과 소라와 아스나와
34 And Zanoah, and Engannim, Tappuah, and Enam,34 And Zanoah, and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam;34 사노아와 엔간님과 답부아와 에남과
35 Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah,35 Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah;35 야르뭇과 아둘람과 소고와 아세가와
36 And Sharaim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim; fourteen ㆍ cities with their villages:36 And Shaaraim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim; fourteen towns with their unwalled places.36 사아라임과 아디다임과 그데라와 그데로다임이니 모두 십 사 성읍이요 또 그 촌락이었으며

61 In the wilderness, Betharabah, Middin, and Secacah,61 In the waste land, Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah;61 광야에는 벧 아라바와 밋딘과 스가가와
62 And Nibshan, and the city of Salt, and Engedi; six cities with their villages.62 And Nibshan, and the Town of Salt, and En-gedi; six towns with their unwalled places.62 닙산과 염성과 엔 게디니 모두 여섯 성읍이요 또 그 촌락이었더라
63 As for the Jebusites the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not drive them out: but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Judah at Jerusalem unto this day.63 And as for the Jebusites living in Jerusalem, the children of Judah were unable to make them go out; but the Jebusites are living with the children of Judah at Jerusalem, to this day.63 예루살렘 거민 여부스 사람을 유다 자손이 쫓아내지 못하였으므로 여부스 사람이 오늘날까지 유다 자손과 함께 예루살렘에 거하니라
