1And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blindfromhisbirth.
1 And when he went on his way, he saw a man blind from birth.

2Andhisdisciplesaskedhim, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, orhisparents, that he was bornblind?
2 And his disciples put a question to him, saying, Master, was it because of this man's sin, or the sin of his father and mother, that he has been blind from birth?
2 제자들이 물어 가로되 랍비여 이 사람이 소경으로 난 것이 뉘 죄로 인함이오니이까 자기오니이까 그 부모오니이까
[x]MKJV: And His disciples asked Him, saying, Master, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind? 3Jesusanswered, Neitherhath this mansinned, norhisparents: butthat the works of God should be made manifestinhim.
3 Jesus said in answer, It was not because of his sin, or because of his father's or mother's; it was so that the works of God might be seen openly in him.
3 예수께서 대답하시되 이 사람이나 그 부모가 죄를 범한 것이 아니라 그에게서 하나님의 하시는 일을 나타내고자 하심이니라

4 때가 아직 낮이매 나를 보내신 이의 일을 우리가 하여야 하리라 밤이 오리니 그때는 아무도 일할 수 없느니라
6 When he had thusspoken, he spat on the ground, andmadeclayof the spittle, and he anointedㆍ the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
6 Having said these words, he put earth, mixed with water from his mouth, on the man's eyes,
6 이 말씀을 하시고 땅에 침을 뱉아 진흙을 이겨 그의 눈에 바르시고

7Andsaid unto him, Go, washin the pool of Siloam, ㆍ (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his waytherefore, andwashed, andcameseeing.
7 And said to him, Go and make yourself clean in the bath of Siloam (the sense of the name is, Sent). So he went away and, after washing, came back able to see.
7 이르시되 실로암 못에 가서 씻으라 하시니 (실로암은 번역하면 보냄을 받았다는 뜻이라) 이에 가서 씻고 밝은 눈으로 왔더라

15 So the Pharisees put more questions to him about how his eyes had been made open. And he said to them, He put earth on my eyes, and I had a wash and am able to see.
15 그러므로 바리새인들도 그 어떻게 보게 된 것을 물으니 가로되 그 사람이 진흙을 내 눈에 바르매 내가 씻고 보나이다 하니
[x]MKJV: Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said to them, He put clay upon my eyes, and I washed, and I see. BBE: So the Pharisees put more questions to him about how his eyes had been made open. And he said to them, He put earth on my eyes, and I had a wash and am able to see. 16Thereforesaidsomeof the Pharisees, ThismanisnotofGod, because he keepethnot the sabbath day. Otherssaid, Howcan a man that is a sinnerdosuchmiracles? And there was a divisionamongthem.
16 Then some of the Pharisees said, That man has not come from God, for he does not keep the Sabbath. Others said, How is it possible for a sinner to do such signs? So there was a division among them.
16 바리새인 중에 혹은 말하되 이 사람이 안식일을 지키지 아니하니 하나님께로서 온 자가 아니라 하며 혹은 말하되 죄인으로서 어떻게 이러한 표적을 행하겠느냐 하여 피차 쟁론이 되었더니
[x]MKJV: Therefore some of the Pharisees said, This man is not from God, because he does not keep the sabbath. Others said, How can a man, a sinner, do such miracles? And there was a division among them. BBE: Then some of the Pharisees said, That man has not come from God, for he does not keep the Sabbath. Others said, How is it possible for a sinner to do such signs? So there was a division among them. 17 They say unto the blind managain, Whatsayestthouofhim, that he hath openedthineeyes? He saidㆍ, Heis a prophet.
17 Again they said to the blind man, What have you to say about him for opening your eyes? And he said, He is a prophet.
17 이에 소경 되었던 자에게 다시 묻되 그 사람이 네 눈을 뜨게 하였으니 너는 그를 어떠한 사람이라 하느냐 대답하되 선지자니이다 한대

18But the Jewsdidnotbelieveconcerninghim, that he had beenblind, and received his sight, untiltheycalled the parents of him that had received his sight.
18 Now the Jews had no belief in the statement that he had been blind and was now able to see, till they sent for the father and mother of the man whose eyes had been made open,

[x]MKJV: But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind and had received his sight, until they called the parents of him having received sight. 21But by what meanshenowseeth, we knownot; orwho hath openedhiseyes, weknownot: heis of age; askhim: he shall speakforhimself.
21 But how it is he is now able to see, or who made his eyes open, we are not able to say: put the question to him; he is old enough to give an answer for himself.
21 그러나 지금 어떻게 되어 보는지 또는 누가 그 눈을 뜨게 하였는지 우리는 알지 못하나이다 저에게 물어 보시오 저가 장성하였으니 자기 일을 말하리이다
[x]MKJV: But by what means he now sees, we do not know. Or who has opened his eyes, we do not know. He is of age, ask him. He will speak for himself. BBE: But how it is he is now able to see, or who made his eyes open, we are not able to say: put the question to him; he is old enough to give an answer for himself. 22Thesewordsspakehisparents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreedalready, thatif any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.
22 They said this because of their fear of the Jews: for the Jews had come to an agreement that if any man said that Jesus was the Christ he would be put out of the Synagogue.
22 그 부모가 이렇게 말한 것은 이미 유대인들이 누구든지 예수를 그리스도로 시인하는 자는 출교하기로 결의하였으므로 저희를 무서워함이러라
[x]MKJV: His parents spoke these things because they feared the Jews, for the Jews had already agreed that if anyone confessed that He was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue. BBE: They said this because of their fear of the Jews: for the Jews had come to an agreement that if any man said that Jesus was the Christ he would be put out of the Synagogue. 24Thenagaincalledthey the manthatwasblind, andsaid unto him, GiveGod the praise: weknowthatthismanis a sinner.
24 So they sent a second time for the man who had been blind and they said to him, Give glory to God: it is clear to us that this man is a sinner.
24 이에 저희가 소경 되었던 사람을 두번째 불러 이르되 너는 영광을 하나님께 돌리라 우리는 저 사람이 죄인인줄 아노라
25ㆍHeansweredandsaid, Whether he be a sinneror no, I knownot: one thing I know, that, whereas I wasblind, now I see.
25 He said in answer, I have no knowledge if he is a sinner or not, but one thing I am certain about; I was blind, and now I see.
25 대답하되 그가 죄인인지 내가 알지 못하나 한 가지 아는 것은 내가 소경으로 있다가 지금 보는 그것이니이다
[x]MKJV: He answered and said, Whether He is a sinner, I do not know; one thing I do know, that being blind, now I see. 27 He answeredthem, I have toldyoualready, and ye didnothear: whereforewould ye hearitagain? willㆍyealsobehisdisciples?
27 His answer was: I have said it before, but your ears were shut: why would you have me say it again? is it your desire to become his disciples?
27 대답하되 내가 이미 일렀어도 듣지 아니하고 어찌하여 다시 듣고자 하나이까 당신들도 그 제자가 되려 하나이까
[x]MKJV: He answered them, I have told you already, and you did not hear. Why do you want to hear [it] again? Do you also desire to be His disciples? 28Then they reviledhim, andsaid, Thouarthisdisciple; butweareMosesdisciples.
28 And they were angry with him and said, You are his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses.
30 The manansweredandsaid unto them, Whyhereinㆍis a marvellous thing, thatyeknownot from whence he is, andyet he hath openedmineeyes.
30 The man said in answer, Why, here is a strange thing! You have no knowledge where he comes from though he gave me the use of my eyes.
30 그 사람이 대답하여 가로되 이상하다 이 사람이 내 눈을 뜨게 하였으되 당신들이 그가 어디서 왔는지 알지 못하는도다
[x]MKJV: The man answered and said to them, Why, this is a marvelous thing, that you do not know from where He is, and He has opened my eyes. 31 We have knowledge that God does not give ear to sinners, but if any man is a worshipper of God and does his pleasure, to him God's ears are open.
31 하나님이 죄인을 듣지 아니하시고 경건하여 그의 뜻대로 행하는 자는 들으시는 줄을 우리가 아나이다
32Since the world began was itnotheardthat any manopened the eyes of one that was bornblind.
32 In all the years nobody has ever before seen the eyes of a man blind from birth made open.
32 창세 이후로 소경으로난 자의 눈을 뜨게 하였다 함을 듣지 못하였으니
