하나님이 욥에게 여러 동물들에 관해 물으시다.

등장인물: 하나님, 욥.

핵심 단어: 도전, v. 1.

KJV BBE KRV
Knowest thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? or canst thou mark when the hinds do calve?1 Have you knowledge of the rock-goats? or do you see the roes giving birth to their young?1 산 염소가 새끼 치는 때를 네가 아느냐 암사슴의 새끼 낳을 기한을 네가 알 수 있느냐
Canst thou number the months that they fulfil? or knowest thou the time when they bring forth?2 Is the number of their months fixed by you? or is the time when they give birth ordered by you?2 그것이 몇 달만에 만삭되는지 아느냐 그 낳을 때를 아느냐
They bow themselves, they bring forth their young ones, they cast out their sorrows.3 They are bent down, they give birth to their young, they let loose the fruit of their body.3 그것들은 몸을 구푸리고 새끼를 낳아 그 괴로움을 지내어 버리며
Their young ones are in good liking, they grow up with corn; they go forth, and return not unto them.4 Their young ones are strong, living in the open country; they go out and do not come back again.4 그 새끼는 강하여져서 빈들에서 길리우다가 나가고는 다시 돌아 오지 아니하느니라
Who hath sent out the wild ass free? or who hath loosed the bands of the wild ass?5 Who has let the ass of the fields go free? or made loose the bands of the loud-voiced beast?5 누가 들 나귀를 놓아 자유하게 하였느냐 누가 빠른 나귀의 매인 것을 풀었느냐
Whose house I have made the wilderness, and the barren land his dwellings.6 To whom I have given the waste land for a heritage, and the salt land as a living-place.6 내가 들로 그 집을, 짠 땅으로 그 사는 처소를 삼았느니라
He scorneth the multitude of the city, neither regardeth he the crying of the driver.7 He makes sport of the noise of the town; the voice of the driver does not come to his ears;7 들 나귀는 성읍의 지꺼리는 것을 업신여기니 어거하는 자의 지르는 소리가 그것에게 들리지 아니하며
The range of the mountains is his pasture, and he searcheth after every green thing.8 He goes looking for his grass-lands in the mountains, searching out every green thing.8 초장이 된 산으로 두루 다니며 여러 가지 푸른 것을 찾느니라
Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib?9 Will the ox of the mountains be your servant? or is his night's resting-place by your food-store?9 들 소가 어찌 즐겨 네게 복종하며 네 외양간에 머물겠느냐
Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee?10 Will he be pulling your plough with cords, turning up the valleys after you?10 네가 능히 줄로 들 소를 매어 이랑을 갈게 하겠느냐 그것이 어찌 골짜기에서 너를 따라 쓰레를 끌겠느냐
Wilt thou trust him, because his strength is great? or wilt thou leave thy labour to him?11 Will you put your faith in him, because his strength is great? will you give the fruit of your work into his care?11 그것의 힘이 많다고 네가 그것을 의지하겠느냐 네 수고하는 일을 그것에게 맡기겠느냐
Wilt thou believe him, that he will bring home thy seed, and gather it into thy barn?12 Will you be looking for him to come back, and get in your seed to the crushing-floor?12 그것이 네 곡식을 집으로 실어 오며 네 타작 마당에 곡식 모으기를 그것에게 의탁하겠느냐
Gavest thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or wings and feathers unto the ostrich?13 Is the wing of the ostrich feeble, or is it because she has no feathers,13 타조는 즐거이 그 날개를 친다마는 그 깃과 털이 인자를 베푸느냐
Which leaveth her eggs in the earth, and warmeth them in dust,14 That she puts her eggs on the earth, warming them in the dust,14 그것이 알을 땅에 버려두어 모래에서 더워지게 하고
And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may break them.15 Without a thought that they may be crushed by the foot, and broken by the beasts of the field?15 발에 깨어질 것이나 들 짐승에게 밟힐 것을 생각지 아니하고
She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not hers: her labour is in vain without fear;16 She is cruel to her young ones, as if they were not hers; her work is to no purpose; she has no fear.16 그 새끼에게 무정함이 제 새끼가 아닌 것처럼 하며 그 구로한 것이 헛되게 될찌라도 괘념치 아니하나니
Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath he imparted to her understanding.17 For God has taken wisdom from her mind, and given her no measure of knowledge.17 이는 하나님 내가 지혜를 품부하지 아니하고 총명을 주지 아니함이니라
What time she lifteth up herself on high, she scorneth the horse and his rider.18 When she is shaking her wings on high, she makes sport of the horse and of him who is seated on him.18 그러나 그 몸을 떨쳐 뛰어갈 때에는 말과 그 탄 자를 경히 여기느니라
Hast thou given the horse strength? hast thou clothed his neck with thunder?19 Do you give strength to the horse? is it by your hand that his neck is clothed with power?19 말의 힘을 네가 주었느냐 그 목에 흩날리는 갈기를 네가 입혔느냐
Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? the glory of his nostrils is terrible.20 Is it through you that he is shaking like a locust, in the pride of his loud-sounding breath?20 네가 그것으로 메뚜기처럼 뛰게 하였느냐 그 위엄스러운 콧소리가 두려우니라
He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in his strength: he goeth on to meet the armed men.21 He is stamping with joy in the valley; he makes sport of fear.21 그것이 골짜기에서 허위고 힘 있음을 기뻐하며 앞으로 나아가서 군사들을 맞되
He mocketh at fear, and is not affrighted; neither turneth he back from the sword.22 In his strength he goes out against the arms of war, turning not away from the sword.22 두려움을 비웃고 놀라지 아니하며 칼을 당할찌라도 물러나지 아니하니
The quiver rattleth against him, the glittering spear and the shield.23 The bow is sounding against him; he sees the shining point of spear and arrow.23 그 위에서는 전동과 빛난 작은 창과 큰 창이 쟁쟁하며
He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage: neither believeth he that it is the sound of the trumpet.24 Shaking with passion, he is biting the earth; he is not able to keep quiet at the sound of the horn;24 땅을 삼킬듯이 맹렬히 성내며 나팔 소리를 들으면 머물러 서지 아니하고
He saith among the trumpets, Ha, ha; and he smelleth the battle afar off, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting.25 When it comes to his ears he says, Aha! He is smelling the fight from far off, and hearing the thunder of the captains, and the war-cries.25 나팔 소리 나는대로 소소히 울며 멀리서 싸움 냄새를 맡고 장관의 호령과 떠드는 소리를 듣느니라
Doth the hawk fly by thy wisdom, and stretch her wings toward the south?26 Is it through your knowledge that the hawk takes his flight, stretching out his wings to the south?26 매가 떠올라서 날개를 펼쳐 남방으로 향하는 것이 어찌 네 지혜로 말미암음이냐
Doth the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her nest on high?27 Or is it by your orders that the eagle goes up, and makes his resting-place on high?27 독수리가 공중에 떠서 높은 곳에 보금자리를 만드는 것이 어찌 네 명령을 의지함이냐
She dwelleth and abideth on the rock, upon the crag of the rock, and the strong place.28 On the rock is his house, and on the mountain-top his strong place.28 그것이 낭떠러지에 집을 지으며 뾰족한 바위 끝이나 험준한데 거하며
From thence she seeketh the prey, and her eyes behold afar off.29 From there he is watching for food; his eye sees it far off.29 거기서 움킬만한 것을 살피나니 그 눈이 멀리 봄이며
Her young ones also suck up blood: and where the slain are, there is she.30 His young have blood for their drink, and where the dead bodies are, there is he to be seen.30 그 새끼들도 피를 빠나니 살륙 당한 자 있는 곳에는 그것도 거기 있느니라
