1 So these threemenceased to answerJob, because he wasrighteous in his own eyes.
1 So these three men gave no more answers to Job, because he seemed to himself to be right.
1 욥이 스스로 의롭게 여기므로 그 세 사람의 대답이 그치매
2 Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the kindred of Ram: against Job was his wrathkindled, because he justifiedhimself rather than God.
2 And Elihu, the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, was angry, burning with wrath against Job, because he seemed to himself more right than God;
2 람 족속 부스 사람 바라겔의 아들 엘리후가 노를 발하니 그가 욥에게 노를 발함은 욥이 하나님보다 자기가 의롭다 함이요
3 Also against his threefriends was his wrathkindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemnedJob.
3 And he was angry with his three friends, because they had been unable to give him an answer, and had not made Job's sin clear.
3 또 세 친구에게 노를 발함은 그들이 능히 대답지는 못하여도 욥을 정죄함이라
4 Now Elihu had waited till Job had spoken, because they wereelderthan he.
4 Now Elihu had kept quiet while Job was talking, because they were older than he;
4 엘리후가 그들의 나이 자기보다 많으므로 욥에게 말하기를 참고 있다가
5 When Elihusaw that there was no answer in the mouth of thesethreemen, then his wrath was kindled.
5 And when Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of the three men, he was very angry.
5 세 사람의 입에 대답이 없음을 보고 노를 발하니라
6 And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buziteanswered and said, I amyoungㆍ, and ye are very old; wherefore I was afraid, and durst not show you mine opinion.
6 And Elihu, the son of Barachel the Buzite, made answer and said, I am young, and you are very old, so I was in fear, and kept myself from putting my knowledge before you.
6 부스 사람 바라겔의 아들 엘리후가 발언하여 가로되 나는 년소하고 당신들은 년로하므로 참고 나의 의견을 감히 진술치 못하였노라
7 I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teachwisdom.
7 I said to myself, It is right for the old to say what is in their minds, and for those who are far on in years to give out wisdom.
7 내가 말하기를 날이 많은 자가 말을 낼 것이요 해가 오랜 자가 지혜를 가르칠 것이라 하였으나
8Butthere is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.
8 But truly it is the spirit in man, even the breath of the Ruler of all, which gives them knowledge.
8 사람의 속에는 심령이 있고 전능자의 기운이 사람에게 총명을 주시나니
9 Great men are not alwayswise: neither do the agedunderstandjudgment.
9 It is not the old who are wise, and those who are full of years have not the knowledge of what is right.
9 대인이라고 지혜로운 것이 아니요 노인이라고 공의를 깨닫는 것이 아니라
10 Therefore I said, Hearken to me; I also will show mine opinion.
10 So I say, Give ear to me, and I will put forward my knowledge.
10 그러므로 내가 말하노니 내 말을 들으라 나도 내 의견을 보이리라
11 Behold, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your reasons, whilst ye searched out what to say.
11 I was waiting for your words, I was giving ear to your wise sayings; while you were searching out what to say,
11 내가 당신들의 말을 기다렸고 당신들이 할 말을 합당하도록 하여 보는 동안에 그 변론에 내 귀를 기울였더니
12 Yea, I attended unto you, and, behold, there was none of you that convincedJob, or that answered his words:
12 I was taking note; and truly not one of you was able to make clear Job's error, or to give an answer to his words.
12 자세히 들은즉 당신들 가운데 욥을 꺾어 그 말을 대답하는 자가 없도다
13 Lest ye should say, We have found outwisdom: God thrusteth him down, not man.
13 Take care that you do not say, Wisdom is here; God may overcome him, but not man.
13 당신들이 혹시라도 말하기를 우리가 지혜를 깨달았었구나 그를 이길 자는 하나님이시요 사람이 아니라 하지 말찌니라
14 Now he hath not directedhiswords against me: neither will I answer him with your speeches.
14 I will not put forward words like these, or make use of your sayings in answer to him.
14 그가 내게 말을 내지 아니하였으니 나도 당신들의 말처럼 그에게 대답지 아니하리라
15 They were amazed, they answered no more: they left offspeaking.
15 Fear has overcome them, they have no more answers to give; they have come to an end of words.
15 그들이 놀라서 다시 대답하지 못하니 할 말이 없음이로구나
16 When I had waited, (for they spake not, but stood still, andanswered no more;)
16 And am I to go on waiting while they have nothing to say? while they keep quiet and give no more answers?
16 그들이 말이 없이 가만히 서서 다시 대답지 아니한즉 내가 어찌 더 기다리랴
17I said, I will answer also my part, I also will show mine opinion.
17 I will give my answer; I will put forward my knowledge:
17 나도 내 본분대로 대답하고 나도 내 의향을 보이리니
18 For I am full of matter, the spiritwithin me constraineth me.
18 For I am full of words, I am unable to keep in my breath any longer:
18 내게 말이 가득하고 내 심령이 나를 강박함이니라
19 Behold, my bellyis as winewhich hath no vent; it is ready to burst like newbottles.
19 My stomach is like wine which is unable to get out; like skins full of new wine, it is almost burst.
19 보라 내 가슴은 봉한 포도주 같고 새 가죽 부대가 터지게 됨 같구나
20 I will speak, that I may be refreshed: I will open my lips and answer.
20 Let me say what is in my mind, so that I may get comfort; let me give answer with open mouth.
20 내가 말을 발하여야 시원할 것이라 내 입을 열어 대답하리라
21 Let me not, I pray you, accept any man'sperson, neither let me give flattering titles unto man.
21 Let me not give respect to any man, or give names of honour to any living.
21 나는 결코 사람의 낯을 보지 아니하며 사람에게 아첨하지 아니하나니
22 For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away.
22 For I am not able to give names of honour to any man; and if I did, my Maker would quickly take me away.
22 이는 아첨할줄을 알지 못함이라 만일 그리하면 나를 지으신 자가 속히 나를 취하시리로다
