2Judahmourneth, and the gates thereof languish; they are black unto the ground; and the cry of Jerusalem is gone up.
2 Judah is weeping and its doors are dark with sorrow, and people are seated on the earth clothed in black; and the cry of Jerusalem has gone up.
2 유다가 슬퍼하며 성문의 무리가 곤비하여 땅에 앉아 애통하니 예루살렘의 부르짖음이 위에 오르도다
3 And their nobles have sent their little ones to the waters: they came to the pitsㆍ, andfound no water; they returned with their vesselsempty; they were ashamed and confounded, and covered their heads.
3 Their great men have sent their servants for water: they come to the holes and there is no water to be seen; they come back with nothing in their vessels; they are overcome with shame and fear, covering their heads.
3 귀인들은 자기 사환들을 보내어 물을 길으라 하나 그들이 우물에 갔어도 물을 얻지 못하여 빈 그릇으로 돌아오니 부끄럽고 근심하여 그 머리를 가리우며

4 Because the ground is chapt, for there was no rain in the earth, the plowmen were ashamed, they covered their heads.
4 Those who do work on the land are in fear, for there has been no rain on the land, and the farmers are shamed, covering their heads.

10 Thus saith the LORD unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the LORD doth not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins.
10 This is what the Lord has said about this people: Even so they have been glad to go from the right way; they have not kept their feet from wandering, so the Lord has no pleasure in them; now he will keep their wrongdoing in mind and send punishment for their sins.
10 여호와께서 이 백성에 대하여 말씀하시되 그들이 어그러진 길을 사랑하여 그 발을 금하지 아니하므로 나 여호와가 그들을 받지 아니하고 이제 그들의 죄를 기억하고 그 죄를 벌하리라 하시고

He will now remember their iniquity and visit their sins. 11 Then said the LORD unto me, Pray not for this people for theirgood.
11 And the Lord said to me, Make no prayer for this people for their good.

12 When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.
12 When they go without food, I will not give ear to their cry; when they give burned offerings and meal offerings, I will not take pleasure in them: but I will put an end to them by the sword and by need of food and by disease.
12 그들이 금식할찌라도 내가 그 부르짖음을 듣지 아니 하겠고 번제와 소제를 드릴찌라도 내가 그것을 받지 아니할뿐 아니라 칼과 기근과 염병으로 그들을 멸하리라

But I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the plague. 13 Then I said, Ah, Lord God! see, the prophets say to them, You will not see the sword or be short of food; but I will give you certain peace in this place.
13 이에 내가 가로되 슬프도소이다 주 여호와여 보시옵소서 선지자들이 그들에게 이르기를 너희가 칼을 보지 아니하겠고 기근은 너희에게 이르지 아니할 것이라 여호와께서 이곳에서 너희에게 확실한 평강을 주시리라 하나이다

14 Then the Lord said to me, The prophets say false words in my name, and I gave them no orders, and I said nothing to them: what they say to you is a false vision and wonder-working words without substance, the deceit of their hearts.
14 여호와께서 내게 이르시되 선지자들이 내 이름으로 거짓 예언을 하도다 나는 그들을 보내지 아니하였고 그들에게 명하거나 이르지 아니하였거늘 그들이 거짓 계시와 복술과 허탄한 것과 자기 마음의 속임으로 너희에게 예언하도다

They prophesy to you a false vision and a worthless divination, and a thing of no value, and the deceit of their heart. 15 Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed.
15 So this is what the Lord has said about the prophets who make use of my name, though I sent them not, and say, The sword and need of food will not be in this land: the sword and need of food will put an end to those prophets.
15 그러므로 내가 보내지 아니하였어도 내 이름으로 예언하여 이르기를 칼과 기근이 이 땅에 이르지 아니하리라 하는 선지자들에 대하여 나 여호와가 이같이 이르노라 그 선지자들은 칼과 기근에 멸망할 것이요
[x]MKJV: So the LORD says this concerning the prophets who prophesy in My name, and I did not send them; yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; by sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed. BBE: So this is what the Lord has said about the prophets who make use of my name, though I sent them not, and say, The sword and need of food will not be in this land: the sword and need of food will put an end to those prophets. 16 And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalembecause of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none to burythem, them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters: for I will pour their wickedness upon them.
16 And the people to whom they are prophets will be pushed out dead into the streets of Jerusalem, because there is no food, and because of the sword; and they will have no one to put their bodies into the earth, them or their wives or their sons or their daughters: for I will let loose their evil-doing on them.
16 그들의 예언을 받은 백성은 기근과 칼로 인하여 예루살렘 거리에 던짐을 입을 것인즉 그들을 장사할 자가 없을 것이요 그 아내와 그 아들과 그 딸도 그렇게 되리니 이는 내가 그들의 악을 그 위에 부음이니라
[x]MKJV: And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none to bury them, [either] them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters. For I will pour their evil on them. BBE: And the people to whom they are prophets will be pushed out dead into the streets of Jerusalem, because there is no food, and because of the sword; and they will have no one to put their bodies into the earth, them or their wives or their sons or their daughters: for I will let loose their evil-doing on them. 17 And you are to say this word to them, Let my eyes be streaming with water night and day, and let it not be stopped; for the virgin daughter of my people is wounded with a great wound, with a very bitter blow.
17 너는 이 말로 그들에게 이르라 내 눈이 밤낮으로 끊치지 아니하고 눈물을 흘리리니 이는 처녀 딸 내 백성이 큰 파멸, 중한 창상을 인하여 망함이라

For the virgin daughter of my people is broken with a great break, [with] a very grievous blow. 18 If I go forth into the field, then behold the slain with the sword! and if I enter into the city, then behold them that are sick with famine! yea, both the prophet and the priest go about into a land that they know not.
18 If I go out into the open country, there are those put to death by the sword! and if I go into the town, there are those who are diseased from need of food! for the prophet and the priest go about in the land and have no knowledge.
18 내가 들에 나간즉 칼에 죽은 자요 내가 성에 들어간즉 기근으로 병든 자며 선지자나 제사장이나 다 땅에 두루 다니며 어찌할 바를 알지 못하는도다

19 Have you completely given up Judah? is your soul turned in disgust from Zion? why have you given us blows from which there is no one to make us well? we were looking for peace, but no good came; and for a time of well-being, but there was only a great fear.
19 주께서 유다를 온전히 버리시나이까 주의 심령이 시온을 싫어하시나이까 어찌하여 우리를 치시고 치료하지 아니하시나이까 우리가 평강을 바라도 좋은 것이 없고 치료받기를 기다려도 놀람을 보나이다

20 We acknowledge, O LORD, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned against thee.
20 We are conscious, O Lord, of our sin and of the wrongdoing of our fathers: we have done evil against you.

21 Do not abhorus, for thy name's sake, do not disgrace the throne of thy glory: remember, break not thy covenant with us.
21 Do not be turned from us in disgust, because of your name; do not put shame on the seat of your glory: keep us in mind, let not your agreement with us be broken.
21 주의 이름을 위하여 우리를 미워하지 마옵소서 주의 영광의 위를 욕되게 마옵소서 우리와 세우신 주의 언약을 기억하시고 폐하지 마옵소서
22 Are thereany among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? or can the heavensgiveshowers? art not thou he, O LORD our God? therefore we will wait upon thee: for thou hast made all these things.
22 Are any of the false gods of the nations able to make rain come? are the heavens able to give showers? are you not he, O Lord our God? so we will go on waiting for you, for you have done all these things.
22 열방의 허무한 것 중에 능히 비를 내리게 할 자가 있나이까 하늘이 능히 소나기를 내릴 수 있으리이까 우리 하나님 여호와여 그리하는 자가 주가 아니시니이까 그러므로 우리가 주를 앙망하옵는 것은 주께서 이 모든 것을 만드셨음이니이다
