2 The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORDsaid to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed greatwhoredom, departingfrom the LORD.

3 So he went and tookGomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived, and bare him a son.
3 So he took as his wife Gomer, the daughter of Diblaim, and she gave birth to a son.

4 And the Lord said to him, Give him the name of Jezreel, for after a little time I will send punishment for the blood of Jezreel on the line of Jehu, and put an end to the kingdom of Israel.
4 여호와께서 호세아에게 이르시되 그 이름을 이스르엘이라 하라 조금 후에 내가 이스르엘의 피를 예후의 집에 갚으며 이스라엘 족속의 나라를 폐할 것임이니라

7 But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the LORD their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen.
7 But I will have mercy on Judah and will give them salvation by the Lord their God, but not by the bow or the sword or by fighting or by horses or horsemen.
7 그러나 내가 유다 족속을 긍휼히 여겨 저희 하나님 여호와로 구원하겠고 활과 칼이나 전쟁이나 말과 마병으로 구원하지 아니하리라 하시니라

8 Now when she had weanedLoruhamah, she conceived, and bare a son.

10 Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the livingGod.
10 But still the number of the children of Israel will be like the sand of the sea, which may not be measured or numbered; and in place of its being said to them, You are not my people, it will be said to them, You are the sons of the living God
10 그러나 이스라엘 자손의 수가 바닷가의 모래 같이 되어서 측량할 수도 없고 셀 수도 없을 것이며 전에 저희에게 이르기를 너희는 내 백성이 아니라 한 그곳에서 저희에게 이르기를 너희는 사신 하나님의 자녀라 할 것이라

11 Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gatheredtogether, and appoint themselves onehead, and they shall come up out of the land: for greatshall be the day of Jezreel.
11 And the children of Israel and the children of Judah will come together and take for themselves one head, and will go up from the land, for great will be the day of Jezreel.
