KJV BBE KRV
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the sign that the things not seen are true.1 믿음은 바라는 것들의 실상이요 보지 못하는 것들의 증거니
For by it the elders obtained a good report.2 For by it our fathers had God's approval.2 선진들이 이로써 증거를 얻었느니라
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.3 By faith it is clear to us that the order of events was fixed by the word of God, so that what is seen has not been made from things which only seem to be.3 믿음으로 모든 세계가 하나님의 말씀으로 지어진 줄을 우리가 아나니 보이는 것은 나타난 것으로 말미암아 된것이 아니니라
By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.4 By faith Abel made a better offering to God than Cain, and he had witness through it of his righteousness, God giving his approval of his offering: and his voice still comes to us through it though he is dead.4 믿음으로 아벨은 가인보다 더 나은 제사를 하나님께 드림으로 의로운 자라 하시는 증거를 얻었으니 하나님이 그 예물에 대하여 증거하심이라 저가 죽었으나 그 믿음으로써 오히려 말하느니라
By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.5 By faith Enoch was taken up to heaven so that he did not see death; he was seen no longer, for God took him away: for before he was taken, witness had been given that he was well-pleasing to God:5 믿음으로 에녹은 죽음을 보지 않고 옮기웠으니 하나님이 저를 옮기심으로 다시 보이지 아니하니라 저는 옮기우기 전에 하나님을 기쁘시게 하는 자라 하는 증거를 받았느니라
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.6 And without faith it is not possible to be well-pleasing to him, for it is necessary for anyone who comes to God to have the belief that God is, and that he is a rewarder of all those who make a serious search for him.6 믿음이 없이는 기쁘시게 못하나니 하나님께 나아가는 자는 반드시 그가 계신 것과 또한 그가 자기를 찾는 자들에게 상 주시는 이심을 믿어야 할찌니라
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.7 By faith Noah, being moved by the fear of God, made ready an ark for the salvation of his family, because God had given him news of things which were not seen at the time; and through it the world was judged by him, and he got for his heritage the righteousness which is by faith.7 믿음으로 노아는 아직 보지 못하는 일에 경고하심을 받아 경외함으로 방주를 예비하여 그 집을 구원하였으니 이로 말미암아 세상을 정죄하고 믿음을 좇는 의의 후사가 되었느니라
By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.8 By faith Abraham did as God said when he was ordered to go out into a place which was to be given to him as a heritage, and went out without knowledge of where he was going.8 믿음으로 아브라함은 부르심을 받았을 때에 순종하여 장래 기업으로 받을 땅에 나갈쌔 갈 바를 알지 못하고 나갔으며
By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:9 By faith he was a wanderer in the land of the agreement, as in a strange land, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, who had a part with him in the same heritage:9 믿음으로 저가 외방에 있는것 같이 약속하신 땅에 우거하여 동일한 약속을 유업으로 함께 받은 이삭과 야곱으로 더불어 장막에 거하였으니
For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.10 For he was looking for the strong town, whose builder and maker is God.10 이는 하나님의 경영하시고 지으실 터가 있는 성을 바랐음이니라
Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age , because she judged him faithful who had promised.11 And by faith Sarah herself had power to give birth, when she was very old, because she had faith in him who gave his word;11 믿음으로 사라 자신도 나이 늙어 단산하였으나 잉태하는 힘을 얻었으니 이는 약속하신 이를 미쁘신줄 앎이라
Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.12 So that from one man, who was near to death, came children in number as the stars in heaven, or as the sand by the seaside, which may not be numbered.12 이러므로 죽은 자와 방불한 한 사람으로 말미암아 하늘에 허다한 별과 또 해변의 무수한 모래와 같이 많이 생육하였느니라
These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.13 All these came to their end in faith, not having had the heritage; but having seen it with delight far away, they gave witness that they were wanderers and not of the earth.13 이 사람들은 다 믿음을 따라 죽었으며 약속을 받지 못하였으되 그것들을 멀리서 보고 환영하며 또 땅에서는 외국인과 나그네로라 증거하였으니
For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.14 For those who say such things make it clear that they are searching for a country for themselves.14 이같이 말하는 자들은 본향 찾는 것을 나타냄이라
And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.15 And truly if they had kept in mind the country from which they went out, they would have had chances of turning back.15 저희가 나온바 본향을 생각하였더면 돌아갈 기회가 있었으려니와
But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.16 But now their desire is for a better country, that is to say, for one in heaven; and so it is no shame to God to be named their God; for he has made ready a town for them.16 저희가 이제는 더 나은 본향을 사모하니 곧 하늘에 있는 것이라 그러므로 하나님이 저희 하나님이라 일컬음 받으심을 부끄러워 아니하시고 저희를 위하여 한 성을 예비하셨느니라
By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son.17 By faith Abraham made an offering of Isaac, when he was tested: and he with whom the agreement had been made gave up as an offering the only son of his body,17 아브라함은 시험을 받을 때에 믿음으로 이삭을 드렸으니 저는 약속을 받은 자로되 그 독생자를 드렸느니라
Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:18 Of whom it had been said, From Isaac will your seed take their name:18 저에게 이미 말씀하시기를 네 자손이라 칭할 자는 이삭으로 말미암으리라 하셨으니
Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.19 Judging that God was able to give life even to the dead; and because of this he did get him back as if from death.19 저가 하나님이 능히 죽은 자 가운데서 다시 살리실 줄로 생각한지라 비유컨대 죽은 자 가운데서 도로 받은 것이니라
By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.20 By faith Isaac, blessing Jacob and Esau, gave news of things to come.20 믿음으로 이삭은 장차 오는 일에 대하여 야곱과 에서에게 축복하였으며
By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff.21 By faith Jacob gave a blessing to the two sons of Joseph, when he was near to death; and gave God worship, supported by his stick.21 믿음으로 야곱은 죽을 때에 요셉의 각 아들에게 축복하고 그 지팡이 머리에 의지하여 경배하였으며
By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones.22 By faith Joseph, when his end was near, said that the children of Israel would go out of Egypt; and gave orders about his bones.22 믿음으로 요셉은 임종시에 이스라엘 자손들의 떠날 것을 말하고 또 자기 해골을 위하여 명하였으며
By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment.23 By faith Moses was kept secretly by his father and mother for three months after his birth, because they saw that he was a fair child; and they had no fear of the king's orders.23 믿음으로 모세가 났을 때에 그 부모가 아름다운 아이임을 보고 석달 동안 숨겨 임금의 명령을 무서워 아니하였으며
By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;24 By faith Moses, when he became a man, had no desire to be named the son of Pharaoh's daughter;24 믿음으로 모세는 장성하여 바로의 공주의 아들이라 칭함을 거절하고
Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;25 Feeling that it was better to undergo pain with the people of God, than for a short time to have a taste of the pleasures of sin;25 도리어 하나님의 백성과 함께 고난 받기를 잠시 죄악의 낙을 누리는 것보다 더 좋아하고
Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompense of the reward.26 Judging a part in the shame of Christ to be better than all the wealth of Egypt; for he was looking forward to his reward.26 그리스도를 위하여 받는 능욕을 애굽의 모든 보화보다 더 큰 재물로 여겼으니 이는 상주심을 바라봄이라
By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.27 By faith he went out of Egypt, not being turned from his purpose by fear of the wrath of the king; for he kept on his way, as seeing him who is unseen.27 믿음으로 애굽을 떠나 임금의 노함을 무서워 아니하고 곧 보이지 아니하는 자를 보는것 같이 하여 참았으며
Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.28 By faith he kept the Passover, and put the sign of the blood on the houses, so that the angel of destruction might not put their oldest sons to death.28 믿음으로 유월절과 피 뿌리는 예를 정하였으니 이는 장자를 멸하는 자로 저희를 건드리지 않게 하려한 것이며
By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned.29 By faith they went through the Red Sea as if it had been dry land, though the Egyptians were overcome by the water when they made an attempt to do the same.29 믿음으로 저희가 홍해를 육지 같이 건넜으나 애굽 사람들은 이것을 시험하다가 빠져 죽었으며
By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.30 By faith the walls of Jericho came down, after they had been circled for seven days.30 믿음으로 칠일 동안 여리고를 두루 다니매 성이 무너졌으며
By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.31 By faith Rahab, the loose woman, was not put to death with those who had gone against God's orders, because she had taken into her house in peace those sent to see the land.31 믿음으로 기생 라합은 정탐군을 평안히 영접하였으므로 순종치 아니한 자와 함께 멸망치 아니하였도다
And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:32 What more am I to say? For there would not be time to give the stories of Gideon, Barak, Samson, and Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets:32 내가 무슨 말을 더 하리요 기드온, 바락, 삼손, 입다와 다윗과 사무엘과 및 선지자들의 일을 말하려면 내게 시간이 부족하리로다
Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,33 Who through faith overcame kingdoms, did righteousness, got their reward, kept the mouths of lions shut,33 저희가 믿음으로 나라들을 이기기도 하며 의를 행하기도 하며 약속을 받기도 하며 사자들의 입을 막기도 하며
Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.34 Put out the power of fire, got safely away from the edge of the sword, were made strong when they had been feeble, became full of power in war, and put to flight the armies of the nations.34 불의 세력을 멸하기도 하며 칼날을 피하기도 하며 연약한 가운데서 강하게 되기도 하며 전쟁에 용맹되어 이방 사람들의 진을 물리치기도 하며
Women received their dead raised to life again : and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:35 Women had their dead given back to them living; others let themselves be cruelly attacked, having no desire to go free, so that they might have a better life to come;35 여자들은 자기의 죽은 자를 부활로 받기도 하며 또 어떤이들은 더 좋은 부활을 얻고자 하여 악형을 받되 구차히 면하지 아니하였으며
And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:36 And others were tested by being laughed at or by blows, and even with chains and prisons:36 또 어떤이들은 희롱과 채찍질 뿐아니라 결박과 옥에 갇히는 시험도 받았으며
They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword : they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins ; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;37 They were stoned, they were cut up with knives, they were tested, they were put to death with the sword, they went about in sheepskins and in goatskins; being poor and in pain and cruelly attacked,37 돌로 치는 것과 톱으로 켜는 것과 시험과 칼에 죽는 것을 당하고 양과 염소의 가죽을 입고 유리하여 궁핍과 환난과 학대를 받았으니
(Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.38 Wandering in waste places and in mountains and in holes in the rocks; for whom the world was not good enough.38 (이런 사람은 세상이 감당치 못하도다) 저희가 광야와 산중과 암혈과 토굴에 유리하였느니라
And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:39 And not one of these got the good things of the agreement, though they all had a good record through faith,39 이 사람들이 다 믿음으로 말미암아 증거를 받았으나 약속을 받지 못하였으니
God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.40 Because God had kept some better thing for us, so that it was not possible for them to become complete without us.40 이는 하나님이 우리를 위하여 더 좋은 것을 예비하셨은즉 우리가 아니면 저희로 온전함을 이루지 못하게 하려 하심이니라
