1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,1 And after a time, when men were increasing on the earth, and had daughters,1 사람이 땅위에 번성하기 시작할 때에 그들에게서 딸들이 나니
2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.2 The sons of God saw that the daughters of men were fair; and they took wives for themselves from those who were pleasing to them.2 하나님의 아들들이 사람의 딸들의 아름다움을 보고 자기들의 좋아하는 모든 자로 아내를 삼는지라
3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh ㆍ: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.3 And the Lord said, My spirit will not be in man for ever, for he is only flesh; so the days of his life will be a hundred and twenty years.3 여호와께서 가라사대 나의 신이 영원히 사람과 함께 하지 아니하리니 이는 그들이 육체가 됨이라 그러나 그들의 날은 일백 이십년이 되리라 하시니라
4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.4 There were men of great strength and size on the earth in those days; and after that, when the sons of God had connection with the daughters of men, they gave birth to children: these were the great men of old days, the men of great name.4 당시에 땅에 네피림이 있었고 그 후에도 하나님의 아들들이 사람의 딸들을 취하여 자식을 낳았으니 그들이 용사라 고대에 유명한 사람이었더라
5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.5 And the Lord saw that the sin of man was great on the earth, and that all the thoughts of his heart were evil.5 여호와께서 사람의 죄악이 세상에 관영함과 그 마음의 생각의 모든 계획이 항상 악할 뿐임을 보시고
6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.6 And the Lord had sorrow because he had made man on the earth, and grief was in his heart.6 땅위에 사람 지으셨음을 한탄하사 마음에 근심하시고
7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.7 And the Lord said, I will take away man, whom I have made, from the face of the earth, even man and beast and that which goes on the earth and every bird of the air; for I have sorrow for having made them.7 가라사대 나의 창조한 사람을 내가 지면에서 쓸어 버리되 사람으로부터 육축과 기는 것과 공중의 새까지 그리하리니 이는 내가 그것을 지었음을 한탄함이니라 하시니라
8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.8 But Noah had grace in the eyes of God.8 그러나 노아는 여호와께 은혜를 입었더라
9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.9 These are the generations of Noah. Noah was an upright man and without sin in his generation: he went in the ways of God.9 노아의 사적은 이러하니라 노아는 의인이요 당세에 완전한 자라 그가 하나님과 동행하였으며
10 And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.10 And Noah had three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.10 그가 세 아들을 낳았으니 셈과 함과 야벳이라
11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.11 And the earth was evil in God's eyes and full of violent ways.11 때에 온 땅이 하나님 앞에 패괴하여 강포가 땅에 충만한지라
12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.12 And God, looking on the earth, saw that it was evil: for the way of all flesh had become evil on the earth.12 하나님이 보신즉 땅이 패괴하였으니 이는 땅에서 모든 혈육 있는 자의 행위가 패괴함이었더라
13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.13 And God said to Noah, The end of all flesh has come; the earth is full of their violent doings, and now I will put an end to them with the earth.13 하나님이 노아에게 이르시되 모든 혈육 있는 자의 강포가 땅에 가득하므로 그 끝날이 내 앞에 이르렀으니 내가 그들을 땅과 함께 멸하리라
14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.14 Make for yourself an ark of gopher wood with rooms in it, and make it safe from the water inside and out.14 너는 잣나무로 너를 위하여 방주를 짓되 그 안에 간들을 막고 역청으로 그 안팎에 칠하라
15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.15 And this is the way you are to make it: it is to be three hundred cubits long, fifty cubits wide, and thirty cubits high.15 그 방주의 제도는 이러하니 장이 삼백 규빗, 광이 오십 규빗, 고가 삼십 규빗이며
16 A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.16 You are to put a window in the ark, a cubit from the roof, and a door in the side of it, and you are to make it with a lower and second and third floors.16 거기 창을 내되 위에서부터 한 규빗에 내고 그 문은 옆으로 내고 상 중 하 삼층으로 할찌니라
17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.17 For truly, I will send a great flow of waters over the earth, for the destruction from under the heaven of all flesh in which is the breath of life; everything on the earth will come to an end.17 내가 홍수를 땅에 일으켜 무릇 생명의 기식 있는 육체를 천하에서 멸절하리니 땅에 있는 자가 다 죽으리라
18 But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons wives with thee.18 But with you I will make an agreement; and you will come into the ark, you and your sons and your wife and your sons' wives with you.18 그러나 너와는 내가 내 언약을 세우리니 너는 네 아들들과 네 아내와 네 자부들과 함께 그 방주로 들어가고
19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.19 And you will take with you into the ark two of every sort of living thing, and keep them safe with you; they will be male and female.19 혈육 있는 모든 생물을 너는 각기 암 수 한쌍씩 방주로 이끌어 들여 너와 함께 생명을 보존케 하되
20 Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.20 Two of every sort of bird and cattle and of every sort of living thing which goes on the earth will you take with you to keep them from destruction.20 새가 그 종류대로, 육축이 그 종류대로, 땅에 기는 모든 것이 그 종류대로 각기 둘씩 네게로 나아오리니 그 생명을 보존케 하라
21 And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.21 And make a store of every sort of food for yourself and them.21 너는 먹을 모든 식물을 네게로 가져다가 저축하라 이것이 너와 그들의 식물이 되리라
22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.22 And all these things Noah did; as God said, so he did.22 노아가 그와 같이 하되 하나님이 자기에게 명하신대로 다 준행하였더라
