KJV BBE KRV
And the famine was sore in the land.1 Now the land was in bitter need of food.1 그 땅에 기근이 심하고
And it came to pass, when they had eaten up the corn which they had brought out of Egypt, their father said unto them, Go again, buy us a little food.2 And when the grain which they had got in Egypt was all used up, their father said to them, Go again and get us a little food.2 그들이 애굽에서 가져온 곡식을 다 먹으매 그 아비가 그들에게 이르되 다시 가서 우리를 위하여 양식을 조금 사라
And Judah spake unto him, saying, The man did solemnly protest unto us, saying, Ye shall not see my face, except your brother be with you.3 And Judah said to him, The man said to us with an oath, You are not to come before me again without your brother.3 유다가 아비에게 말하여 가로되 그 사람이 엄히 우리에게 경계하여 가로되 너희 아우가 너희와 함께하지 아니하면 너희가 내 얼굴을 보지 못하리라 하였으니
If thou wilt send our brother with us, we will go down and buy thee food:4 If you will let our brother go with us, we will go down and get food:4 아버지께서 우리 아우를 우리와 함께 보내시면 우리가 내려가서 아버지를 위하여 양식을 사려니와
But if thou wilt not send him, we will not go down: for the man said unto us, Ye shall not see my face, except your brother be with you.5 But if you will not send him, we will not go down: for the man said to us, You are not to come before me if your brother is not with you.5 아버지께서 만일 그를 보내지 않으시면 우리는 내려가지 아니하리니 그 사람이 우리에게 말하기를 너희 아우가 너희와 함께하지 아니하면 너희가 내 얼굴을 보지 못하리라 하였음이니이다
And Israel said, Wherefore dealt ye so ill with me, as to tell the man whether ye had yet a brother?6 And Israel said, Why were you so cruel to me as to say to him that you had a brother?6 이스라엘이 가로되 너희가 어찌하여 너희에게 오히려 아우가 있다고 그 사람에게 고하여 나를 해롭게 하였느냐
And they said, The man asked us straitly of our state, and of our kindred, saying, Is your father yet alive? have ye another brother? and we told him according to the tenor of these words: could we certainly know that he would say, Bring your brother down?7 And they said, The man put a number of questions to us about ourselves and our family, saying, Is your father still living? have you another brother? And we had to give him answers; how were we to have any idea that he would say, Come back with your brother?7 그들이 가로되 그 사람이 우리와 우리의 친족에 대하여 자세히 힐문하여 이르기를 너희 아버지가 그저 살았느냐 너희에게 아우가 있느냐 하기로 그 말을 조조이 그에게 대답한 것이라 그가 너희 아우를 데리고 내려오라 할줄을 우리가 어찌 알았으리이까
And Judah said unto Israel his father, Send the lad with me, and we will arise and go; that we may live, and not die, both we, and thou, and also our little ones.8 Then Judah said to Israel, his father, Send the boy with me, and let us be up and going, so that we and you and our little ones may not come to destruction.8 유다가 아비 이스라엘에게 이르되 저 아이를 나와 함께 보내시면 우리가 곧 가리니 그러면 우리와 아버지와 우리 어린 것들이 다 살고 죽지 아니하리이다
I will be surety for him; of my hand shalt thou require him: if I bring him not unto thee, and set him before thee, then let me bear the blame for ever:9 Put him into my care and make me responsible for him: if I do not give him safely back to you, let mine be the sin for ever.9 내가 그의 몸을 담보하오리니 아버지께서 내 손에 그를 물으소서 내가 만일 그를 아버지께 데려다가 아버지 앞에 두지 아니하면 내가 영원히 죄를 지리이다
For except we had lingered, surely now we had returned this second time.10 Truly, if we had not let the time go by, we might have come back again by now.10 우리가 지체하지 아니하였더면 벌써 두번 갔다 왔으리이다
And their father Israel said unto them, If it must be so now, do this; take of the best fruits in the land in your vessels, and carry down the man a present, a little balm, and a little honey, spices, and myrrh, nuts, and almonds:11 Then their father Israel said to them, If it has to be so, then do this: take of the best fruits of the land in your vessels to give the man, perfumes and honey and spices and nuts:11 그들의 아비 이스라엘이 그들에게 이르되 그러할찐대 이렇게 하라 너희는 이 땅의 아름다운 소산을 그릇에 담아가지고 내려가서 그 사람에게 예물을 삼을찌니 곧 유향 조금과 꿀 조금과 향품과 몰약과 비자와 파단행이니라
And take double money in your hand; and the money that was brought again in the mouth of your sacks, carry it again in your hand; peradventure it was an oversight:12 And take twice as much money with you; that is to say, take back the money which was put in your bags, for it may have been an error;12 너희 손에 돈을 배나 가지고 너희 자루 아구에 도로 넣여 온 그 돈을 다시 가지고 가라 혹 차착이 있었을까 두렵도다
Take also your brother, and arise, go again unto the man:13 And take your brother and go back to the man:13 네 아우도 데리고 떠나 다시 그 사람에게로 가라
And God Almighty give you mercy before the man, that he may send away your other brother, and Benjamin. If I be bereaved of my children, I am bereaved.14 And may God, the Ruler of all, give you mercy before the man, so that he may give you back your other brother and Benjamin. If my children are to be taken from me; there is no help for it.14 전능하신 하나님께서 그 사람 앞에서 너희에게 은혜를 베푸사 그 사람으로 너희 다른 형제와 베냐민을 돌려보내게 하시기를 원하노라 내가 자식을 잃게 되면 잃으리로다
And the men took that present, and they took double money in their hand, and Benjamin; and rose up, and went down to Egypt, and stood before Joseph.15 So they took what their father said for the man, and twice as much money in their hands, and Benjamin, and went on their journey to Egypt, and came before Joseph.15 그 사람들이 그 예물을 취하고 갑절 돈을 자기들의 손에 가지고 베냐민을 데리고 애굽에 내려가서 요셉의 앞에 서니라
And when Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the ruler of his house, Bring these men home, and slay , and make ready; for these men shall dine with me at noon.16 And when Joseph saw Benjamin, he said to his chief servant, Take these men into my house, and make ready a meal, for they will take food with me in the middle of the day.16 요셉이 베냐민이 그들과 함께 있음을 보고 그 청지기에게 이르되 이 사람들을 집으로 인도해 들이고 짐승을 잡고 준비하라 이 사람들이 오정에 나와 함께 먹을 것이니라
And the man did as Joseph bade; and the man brought the men into Joseph's house.17 And the servant did as Joseph said, and took the men into Joseph's house.17 그 사람이 요셉의 명대로 하여 그 사람들을 요셉의 집으로 인도하니
And the men were afraid, because they were brought into Joseph's house; and they said, Because of the money that was returned in our sacks at the first time are we brought in; that he may seek occasion against us, and fall upon us, and take us for bondmen, and our asses.18 Now the men were full of fear because they had been taken into Joseph's house and they said, It is because of the money which was put back in our bags the first time; he is looking for something against us, so that he may come down on us and take us and our asses for his use.18 그 사람들이 요셉의 집으로 인도되매 두려워하여 이르되 전일 우리 자루에 넣여 있던 돈의 일로 우리가 끌려드도다 이는 우리를 억류하고 달려들어 우리를 잡아 노예를 삼고 우리의 나귀를 빼앗으려 함이로다 하고
And they came near to the steward of Joseph's house, and they communed with him at the door of the house,19 So they went up to Joseph's chief servant at the door of the house,19 그들이 요셉의 청지기에게 가까이 나아가 그 집 문앞에서 그에게 고하여
And said, O sir, we came indeed down at the first time to buy food:20 And said, O my lord, we only came down the first time to get food;20 가로되 내 주여 우리가 전일에 내려와서 양식을 사가지고
And it came to pass, when we came to the inn, that we opened our sacks, and, behold, every man's money was in the mouth of his sack, our money in full weight: and we have brought it again in our hand.21 And when we came to our night's resting-place, on opening our bags we saw that every man's money was in the mouth of his bag, all our money in full weight: and we have it with us to give it back;21 객점에 이르러 자루를 풀어본즉 각인의 돈이 본수대로 자루 아구에 있기로 우리가 도로 가져왔고
And other money have we brought down in our hands to buy food: we cannot tell who put our money in our sacks.22 As well as more money, with which to get food: we have no idea who put our money in our bags.22 양식 살 다른 돈도 우리가 가지고 내려왔나이다 우리의 돈을 우리 자루에 넣은 자는 누구인지 우리가 알지 못하나이다
And he said, Peace be to you, fear not: your God, and the God of your father, hath given you treasure in your sacks: I had your money. And he brought Simeon out unto them.23 Then the servant said, Peace be with you: have no fear: your God, even the God of your father, has put wealth in your bags for you: I had your money. Then he let Simeon come out to them.23 그가 이르되 너희는 안심하라 두려워 말라 너희 하나님 너희 아버지의 하나님이 재물을 너희 자루에 넣어 너희에게 주신 것이니라 너희 돈은 내가 이미 받았느니라 하고 시므온을 그들에게로 이끌어내고
And the man brought the men into Joseph's house, and gave them water, and they washed their feet; and he gave their asses provender.24 And the servant took them into Joseph's house, and gave them water for washing their feet; and he gave their asses food.24 그들을 요셉의 집으로 인도하고 물을 주어 발을 씻게 하며 그 나귀에게 먹이를 주더라
And they made ready the present against Joseph came at noon: for they heard that they should eat bread there.25 And they got ready the things for Joseph before he came in the middle of the day: for word was given to them that they were to have a meal there.25 그들이 여기서 먹겠다 함을 들으므로 예물을 정돈하고 요셉이 오정에 오기를 기다리더니
And when Joseph came home, they brought him the present which was in their hand into the house, and bowed themselves to him to the earth.26 And when Joseph came in, they gave him the things which they had for him, and went down to the earth before him.26 요셉이 집으로 오매 그들이 그 집으로 들어가서 그 예물을 그에게 드리고 땅에 엎드리어 절하니
And he asked them of their welfare, and said, Is your father well, the old man of whom ye spake? Is he yet alive?27 And he said, How are you? is your father well, the old man of whom you were talking to me? is he still living?27 요셉이 그들의 안부를 물으며 가로되 너희 아버지 너희가 말하던 그 노인이 안녕하시냐 지금까지 생존하셨느냐
And they answered, Thy servant our father is in good health, he is yet alive. And they bowed down their heads, and made obeisance.28 And they said, Your servant, our father, is well, he is still living. And they went down on their faces before him.28 그들이 대답하되 주의 종 우리 아비가 평안하고 지금까지 생존하였나이다 하고 머리 숙여 절하더라
And he lifted up his eyes, and saw his brother Benjamin, his mother's son, and said, Is this your younger brother, of whom ye spake unto me? And he said, God be gracious unto thee, my son.29 Then, lifting up his eyes, he saw Benjamin, his brother, his mother's son, and he said, Is this your youngest brother of whom you gave me word? And he said, God be good to you, my son.29 요셉이 눈을 들어 자기 어머니의 아들 자기 동생 베냐민을 보고 가로되 너희가 내게 말하던 너희 작은 동생이 이냐 그가 또 가로되 소자여 하나님이 네게 은혜 베푸시기를 원하노라
And Joseph made haste; for his bowels did yearn upon his brother: and he sought where to weep; and he entered into his chamber, and wept there.30 Then Joseph's heart went out to his brother, and he went quickly into his room, for he was overcome with weeping.30 요셉이 아우를 인하여 마음이 타는듯 하므로 급히 울곳을 찾아 안방으로 들어가서 울고
And he washed his face, and went out, and refrained himself, and said, Set on bread.31 Then, after washing his face, he came out, and controlling his feelings said, Put food before us.31 얼굴을 씻고 나와서 그 정을 억제하고 음식을 차리라 하매
And they set on for him by himself, and for them by themselves, and for the Egyptians, which did eat with him, by themselves: because the Egyptians might not eat bread with the Hebrews; for that is an abomination unto the Egyptians.32 And they put a meal ready for him by himself, and for them by themselves, and for the Egyptians who were with him by themselves; because the Egyptians may not take food with the Hebrews, for that would make them unclean.32 그들이 요셉에게 따로 하고 그 형제들에게 따로 하고 배식하는 애굽 사람에게도 따로 하니 애굽 사람은 히브리 사람과 같이 먹으면 부정을 입음이었더라
And they sat before him, the firstborn according to his birthright, and the youngest according to his youth: and the men marvelled one at another.33 And they were all given their seats before him in order of birth, from the oldest to the youngest: so that they were looking at one another in wonder.33 그들이 요셉의 앞에 앉되 그 장유의 차서대로 앉히운바 되니 그들이 서로 이상히 여겼더라
And he took and sent messes unto them from before him: but Benjamin's mess was five times so much as any of theirs. And they drank, and were merry with him.34 And Joseph sent food to them from his table, but he sent five times as much to Benjamin as to any of the others. And they took wine freely with him.34 요셉이 자기 식물로 그들에게 주되 베냐민에게는 다른 사람보다 오배나 주매 그들이 마시며 요셉과 함께 즐거워하였더라
