2 And Sarah's death took place in Kiriath-arba, that is, Hebron, in the land of Canaan: and Abraham went into his house, weeping and sorrowing for Sarah.

For as much silver as it is worth he shall give it to me for a possession of a burying-place among you. 11Nay, my lord, hear me: the field give I thee, and the cave that is therein, I give it thee; in the presence of the sons of my peoplegive I it thee: bury thy dead.[x]MKJV: No, my lord, hear me. I give you the field, and the cave that [is] in it I give to you. In the presence of the sons of my people I give it to you. Bury your dead. I will give you silver for the field. Take [it] from me, and I will bury my dead there. The land [is worth] four hundred shekels of silver; what is that between me and you? And bury your dead. BBE: My lord, give ear to me: the value of the land is four hundred shekels; what is that between me and you? so put your dead to rest there. 15 My lord, give ear to me: the value of the land is four hundred shekels; what is that between me and you? so put your dead to rest there.

20 And the field, and the cave that is therein, were made sure unto Abraham for a possession of a buryingplace by the sons of Heth.[x]MKJV: And the field, and the cave that [is] in it, were certified to Abraham for a possession of a burying place by the sons of Heth.
