2 And I will send an angel before you, driving out the Canaanite and the Amorite and the Hittite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite:

3 Go up to that land flowing with milk and honey; but I will not go up among you, for you are a stiff-necked people, for fear that I send destruction on you while you are on the way.
3 너희로 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅에 이르게 하려니와 나는 너희와 함께 올라가지 아니하리니 너희는 목이 곧은 백성인즉 내가 중로에서 너희를 진멸할까 염려함이니라 하시니
4 And when the peopleheard these eviltidings, they mourned: and no man did put on him his ornaments.[x]MKJV: And the people heard these evil tidings, and they mourned, and put no ornaments on themselves. BBE: Hearing this bad news the people were full of grief, and no one put on his ornaments. KAV: ¶ 백성이 이 나쁜 소식을 듣고 애곡하며 아무도 몸에 장식품을 걸치지 아니하니라. 4 Hearing this bad news the people were full of grief, and no one put on his ornaments.

I will come up into the midst of you in a moment, and I will consume you. And now put off your ornaments from you, that I may know what to do with you. BBE: And the Lord said to Moses, Say to the children of Israel, You are a stiff-necked people: if I come among you, even for a minute, I will send destruction on you; so take off all your ornaments, so that I may see what to do with you. 6 And the children of Israelstripped themselves of their ornaments by the mountHoreb.[x]MKJV: And the sons of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by Mount Horeb. BBE: So the children of Israel took off their ornaments at Mount Horeb, and did not put them on again. KAV: 이스라엘 자손이 호렙 산 옆에서 자기들의 장식품을 몸에서 제거하니라. 6 So the children of Israel took off their ornaments at Mount Horeb, and did not put them on again.

7 And Mosestook the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. And it came to pass, that every one which sought the LORD went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which waswithout the camp.[x]MKJV: And Moses took the tabernacle and pitched it outside the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the tabernacle of the congregation. And it happened, everyone who sought the LORD went out to the tabernacle of the congregation, which was] outside the camp. 7 모세가 항상 장막을 취하여 진 밖에 쳐서 진과 멀리 떠나게 하고 회막이라 이름하니 여호와를 앙모하는 자는 다 진 바깥 회막으로 나아가며
8 And it came to pass, when Moses went out unto the tabernacle, that all the people rose up, and stood every manat his tentdoor, and lookedafterMoses, until he was gone into the tabernacle.[x]MKJV: And it happened as Moses went out to the tabernacle, all the people rose up, and each man stood [at] his tent door and looked after Moses until he had gone into the tabernacle. BBE: And whenever Moses went out to the Tent of meeting, all the people got up and everyone went to the door of his tent, looking after Moses till he went inside the Tent. 8 And whenever Moses went out to the Tent of meeting, all the people got up and everyone went to the door of his tent, looking after Moses till he went inside the Tent.

9 And it came to pass, as Mosesentered into the tabernacle, the cloudypillardescended, and stoodat the door of the tabernacle, and the LORDtalked with Moses.[x]MKJV: And it happened as Moses went into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended and stood [at] the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD spoke with Moses. And all the people rose up and worshiped, each man in his tent door. 11 And the LORDspake unto Mosesface to face, as a manspeaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servantJoshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.[x]MKJV: And the LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he turned again to the camp. But his servant, Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not leave the middle of the tabernacle. BBE: And the Lord had talk with Moses face to face, as a man may have talk with his friend. And when Moses came back to the tents, his servant, the young man Joshua, the son of Nun, did not come away from the Tent. 12 And Mosessaid unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also foundgrace in my sight.[x]MKJV: And Moses said to the LORD, Behold, You say to me, Bring up this people. And You have not told me whom You will send with me. Yet You have said, I know you by name, and you have also found grace in My sight. BBE: And Moses said to the Lord, See, you say to me, Be this people's guide on their journey, but you have not made clear to me whom you will send with me. But you have said, I have knowledge of you by name, and you have grace in my eyes. KAV: ¶ 모세가 {주}께 아뢰되, 보소서, 주께서 내게 이르기를, 이 백성을 데리고 올라가라, 하시면서 나와 함께 보낼 자를 내게 알려 주지 아니하셨나이다. 주께서 전에 말씀하시기를, 나는 너를 이름으로 알고 너도 내 눈앞에서 은혜를 입었도다, 하셨나이다. 12 And Moses said to the Lord, See, you say to me, Be this people's guide on their journey, but you have not made clear to me whom you will send with me. But you have said, I have knowledge of you by name, and you have grace in my eyes.
12 모세가 여호와께 고하되 보시옵소서 주께서 나더러 이 백성을 인도하여 올라가라 하시면서 나와 함께 보낼 자를 내게 지시하지 아니하시나이다 주께서 전에 말씀하시기를 나는 이름으로도 너를 알고 너도 내 앞에 은총을 입었다 하셨사온즉
13 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have foundgrace in thy sight, show me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may findgrace in thy sight: and consider that this nationis thy people.[x]MKJV: Now therefore, I pray You, if I have found grace in Your sight, make me see now Your ways, that I may know You, that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation [is] Your people. BBE: If then I have grace in your eyes, let me see your ways, so that I may have knowledge of you and be certain of your grace; and my prayer is that you will keep in mind that this nation is your people. 14 And he said, My presence shall gowith thee, and I will give thee rest.[x]MKJV: And He said, My presence shall go [with you], and I will give you rest. BBE: And he said, I myself will go with you and give you rest. 14 And he said, I myself will go with you and give you rest.

BBE: And Moses said, If you yourself are not going with us, do not send us on from here. KAV: 모세가 그분께 아뢰되, 주께서 내 앞에서 나와 함께 가지 아니하시려거든 우리를 여기에서 올려 보내지 마옵소서. 15 And Moses said, If you yourself are not going with us, do not send us on from here.
15 모세가 여호와께 고하되 주께서 친히 가지 아니하시려거든 우리를 이곳에서 올려 보내지 마옵소서
16 For wherein shall it be knownhere that I and thy people have foundgrace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.[x]MKJV: For in what shall it be known that I and Your people have found grace in Your sight? [Is it] not in that You go with us? So we shall be separated, I and Your people, from all the people that [are] upon the face of the earth. BBE: For is not the fact of your going with us the sign that I and this people have grace in your eyes, so that we, that is, I and your people, are separate from all other people on the face of the earth? 16 나와 주의 백성이 주의 목전에 은총 입은 줄을 무엇으로 알리이까 주께서 우리와 함께 행하심으로 나와 주의 백성을 천하 만민 중에 구별하심이 아니니이까
17 And the LORDsaid unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast foundgrace in my sight, and I know thee by name.[x]MKJV: And the LORD said to Moses, I will do this thing also that you have spoken. For you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name. BBE: And the Lord said to Moses, I will do as you say: for you have grace in my eyes, and I have knowledge of you by your name. 17 And the Lord said to Moses, I will do as you say: for you have grace in my eyes, and I have knowledge of you by your name.

18 And he said, I beseech thee, show me thy glory.[x]MKJV: And he said, I beseech You, let me see Your glory. BBE: And Moses said, O Lord, let me see your glory. 18 And Moses said, O Lord, let me see your glory.
18 모세가 가로되 원컨대 주의 영광을 내게 보이소서
19 And he said, I will make all my goodnesspass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORDbefore thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.[x]MKJV: And He said, I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before you. And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will have mercy on whom I will have mercy. BBE: And he said, I will make all the light of my being come before you, and will make clear to you what I am; I will be kind to those to whom I will be kind, and have mercy on those on whom I will have mercy. 19 여호와께서 가라사대 내가 나의 모든 선한 형상을 네 앞으로 지나게 하고 여호와의 이름을 네 앞에 반포하리라 나는 은혜 줄 자에게 은혜를 주고 긍휼히 여길 자에게 긍휼을 베푸느니라
20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no mansee me, and live.[x]MKJV: And He said, You cannot see My face. For there no man can see Me and live. BBE: But it is not possible for you to see my face, for no man may see me and still go on living. KAV: 또 이르시되, 나를 보고 살 자가 없을 터이므로 네가 내 얼굴을 보지 못하리라, 하시니라. 20 But it is not possible for you to see my face, for no man may see me and still go on living.

21 And the LORDsaid, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:[x]MKJV: And the LORD said, Behold! [There is] a place by Me, and you shall stand upon a rock. BBE: And the Lord said, See, there is a place near me, and you may take your place on the rock: KAV: {주}께서 이르시되, 보라, 내 옆에 한 곳이 있으니 너는 반석 위에 설지니라. 21 And the Lord said, See, there is a place near me, and you may take your place on the rock:

22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my handwhile I pass by:[x]MKJV: And it will be, while My glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by. 22 And when my glory goes by, I will put you in a hole in the rock, covering you with my hand till I have gone past:

23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.[x]MKJV: And I will take away My hand, and you shall see My back parts. But My face shall not be seen. BBE: Then I will take away my hand, and you will see my back: but my face is not to be seen. KAV: 내 손을 거두리니 네가 내 뒷부분은 보되 내 얼굴은 보지 못하리라, 하시니라. 23 Then I will take away my hand, and you will see my back: but my face is not to be seen.
