Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.1 Now Moses was looking after the flock of Jethro, his father-in-law, the priest of Midian: and he took the flock to the back of the waste land and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.1 모세가 그 장인 미디안 제사장 이드로의 양무리를 치더니 그 무리를 광야 서편으로 인도하여 하나님의 산 호렙에 이르매
And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.2 And the angel of the Lord was seen by him in a flame of fire coming out of a thorn-tree: and he saw that the tree was on fire, but it was not burned up.2 여호와의 사자가 떨기나무 불꽃 가운데서 그에게 나타나시니라 그가 보니 떨기나무에 불이 붙었으나 사라지지 아니하는지라
And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.3 And Moses said, I will go and see this strange thing, why the tree is not burned up,3 이에 가로되 내가 돌이켜 가서 이 큰 광경을 보리라 떨기나무가 어찌하여 타지 아니하는고 하는 동시에
And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.4 And when the Lord saw him turning to one side to see, God said his name out of the tree, crying, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.4 여호와께서 그가 보려고 돌이켜 오는 것을 보신지라 하나님이 떨기나무 가운데서 그를 불러 가라사대 모세야 모세야 하시매 그가 가로되 내가 여기 있나이다
And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.5 And he said, Do not come near: take off your shoes from your feet, for the place where you are is holy.5 하나님이 가라사대 이리로 가까이 하지 말라 너의 선 곳은 거룩한 땅이니 네 발에서 신을 벗으라
Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.6 And he said, I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses kept his face covered for fear of looking on God.6 또 이르시되 나는 네 조상의 하나님이니 아브라함의 하나님, 이삭의 하나님, 야곱의 하나님이니라 모세가 하나님 뵈옵기를 두려워하여 얼굴을 가리우매
And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;7 And God said, Truly, I have seen the grief of my people in Egypt, and their cry because of their cruel masters has come to my ears; for I have knowledge of their sorrows;7 여호와께서 가라사대 내가 애굽에 있는 내 백성의 고통을 정녕히 보고 그들이 그 간역자로 인하여 부르짖음을 듣고 그 우고를 알고
And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.8 And I have come down to take them out of the hands of the Egyptians, guiding them out of that land into a good land and wide, into a land flowing with milk and honey; into the place of the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite.8 내가 내려와서 그들을 애굽인의 손에서 건져내고 그들을 그 땅에서 인도하여 아름답고 광대한 땅, 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅 곧 가나안 족속, 헷 족속, 아모리 족속, 브리스 족속, 히위 족속, 여부스 족속의 지방에 이르려 하노라
Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.9 For now, truly, the cry of the children of Israel has come to me, and I have seen the cruel behaviour of the Egyptians to them.9 이제 이스라엘 자손의 부르짖음이 내게 달하고 애굽 사람이 그들을 괴롭게 하는 학대도 내가 보았으니
Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.10 Come, then, and I will send you to Pharaoh, so that you may take my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.10 이제 내가 너를 바로에게 보내어 너로 내 백성 이스라엘 자손을 애굽에서 인도하여 내게 하리라
And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?11 And Moses said to God, Who am I to go to Pharaoh and take the children of Israel out of Egypt?11 모세가 하나님께 고하되 내가 누구관대 바로에게 가며 이스라엘 자손을 애굽에서 인도하여 내리이까
And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.12 And he said, Truly I will be with you; and this will be the sign to you that I have sent you: when you have taken the children of Israel out of Egypt, you will give worship to God on this mountain.12 하나님이 가라사대 내가 정녕 너와 함께 있으리라 네가 백성을 애굽에서 인도하여 낸 후에 너희가 이 산에서 하나님을 섬기리니 이것이 내가 너를 보낸 증거니라
And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?13 And Moses said to God, When I come to the children of Israel and say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you: and they say to me, What is his name? what am I to say to them?13 모세가 하나님께 고하되 내가 이스라엘 자손에게 가서 이르기를 너희 조상의 하나님이 나를 너희에게 보내셨다 하면 그들이 내게 묻기를 그의 이름이 무엇이냐 하리니 내가 무엇이라고 그들에게 말하리이까
And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.14 And God said to him, I AM WHAT I AM: and he said, Say to the children of Israel, I AM has sent me to you.14 하나님이 모세에게 이르시되 나는 스스로 있는 자니라 또 이르시되 너는 이스라엘 자손에게 이같이 이르기를 스스로 있는 자가 나를 너희에게 보내셨다 하라
And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.15 And God went on to say to Moses, Say to the children of Israel, The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, has sent me to you: this is my name for ever, and this is my sign to all generations.15 하나님이 또 모세에게 이르시되 너는 이스라엘 자손에게 이같이 이르기를 나를 너희에게 보내신 이는 너희 조상의 하나님 곧 아브라함의 하나님, 이삭의 하나님, 야곱의 하나님 여호와라 하라 이는 나의 영원한 이름이요 대대로 기억할 나의 표호니라
Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt:16 Go and get together the chiefs of the children of Israel, and say to them, The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, has been seen by me, and has said, Truly I have taken up your cause, because of what is done to you in Egypt;16 너는 가서 이스라엘 장로들을 모으고 그들에게 이르기를 여호와 너희 조상의 하나님 곧 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱의 하나님이 내게 나타나 이르시되 내가 실로 너희를 권고하여 너희가 애굽에서 당한 일을 보았노라
And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, unto a land flowing with milk and honey.17 And I have said, I will take you up out of the sorrows of Egypt into the land of the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite, into a land flowing with milk and honey.17 내가 말하였거니와 내가 너희를 애굽의 고난 중에서 인도하여 내어 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅 곧 가나안 족속, 헷 족속, 아모리 족속, 브리스 족속, 히위 족속, 여부스 족속의 땅으로 올라가게 하리라 하셨다 하면
And they shall hearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath met with us: and now let us go, we beseech thee, three days journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.18 And they will give ear to your voice: and you, with the chiefs of Israel, will go to Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and say to him, The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has come to us: let us then go three days' journey into the waste land to make an offering to the Lord our God.18 그들이 네 말을 들으리니 너는 그들의 장로들과 함께 애굽 왕에게 이르기를 히브리 사람의 하나님 여호와께서 우리에게 임하셨은즉 우리가 우리 하나님 여호와께 희생을 드리려 하오니 사흘길쯤 광야로 가기를 허락하소서 하라
And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand.19 And I am certain that the king of Egypt will not let you go without being forced.19 내가 아노니 강한 손으로 치기 전에는 애굽 왕이 너희의 가기를 허락지 아니하다가
And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go.20 But I will put out my hand and overcome Egypt with all the wonders which I will do among them: and after that he will let you go.20 내가 내 손을 들어 애굽 중에 여러가지 이적으로 그 나라를 친 후에야 그가 너희를 보내리라
And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty:21 And I will give this people grace in the eyes of the Egyptians, so that when you go out you will go out with your hands full.21 내가 애굽 사람으로 이 백성에게 은혜를 입히게 할찌라 너희가 갈 때에 빈손으로 가지 아니하리니
But every woman shall borrow of her neighbour, and of her that sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: and ye shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall spoil the Egyptians.22 For every woman will get from her neighbour and from the woman living in her house, ornaments of silver and gold, and clothing; and you will put them on your sons and your daughters; you will take the best of their goods from the Egyptians.22 여인마다 그 이웃 사람과 및 자기 집에 우거하는 자에게 은 패물과 금 패물과 의복을 구하여 너희 자녀를 꾸미라 너희가 애굽 사람의 물품을 취하리라
