17 Let not your desire be turned to your neighbour's house, or his wife or his man-servant or his woman-servant or his ox or his ass or anything which is his.

18 And all the peoplesaw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountainsmoking: and when the peoplesawit, they removed, and stood afar off.[x]MKJV: And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking. And when the people saw, they trembled, and stood afar off. 20 And Mosessaid unto the people, Fear not: for God is cometoprove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.[x]MKJV: And Moses said to the people, Do not fear, for God has come to test you, and so that His fear may be before your faces, so that you may not sin. BBE: And Moses said to the people, Have no fear: for God has come to put you to the test, so that fearing him you may be kept from sin. 25 And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.[x]MKJV: And if you will make Me an altar of stone, you shall not build it of cut stone.
