2Speak unto the children of Israel, that they turn and encampbeforePihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, over againstBaalzephon: before it shall ye encamp by the sea.[x]MKJV: Speak to the sons of Israel that they turn and camp before Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, over against Baal-zephon. You shall camp before [it], by the sea. BBE: Give orders to the children of Israel to go back and put up their tents before Pi-hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, in front of Baal-zephon, opposite to which you are to put up your tents by the sea. 2 Give orders to the children of Israel to go back and put up their tents before Pi-hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, in front of Baal-zephon, opposite to which you are to put up your tents by the sea.
2 이스라엘 자손을 명하여 돌쳐서 바다와 믹돌 사이의 비하히롯 앞 곧 바알스본 맞은편 바다가에 장막을 치게 하라
3 For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They areentangled in the land, the wilderness hath shut them in.[x]MKJV: For Pharaoh will say of the sons of Israel, They [are] tangled in the land; the wilderness has shut them in. BBE: And Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are wandering without direction, they are shut in by the waste land. KAV: 파라오가 이스라엘 자손에 대하여 말하기를, 그들이 그 땅에서 얽히고 광야에 갇혔도다, 하리라. 3 And Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are wandering without direction, they are shut in by the waste land.
3 바로가 이스라엘 자손에 대하여 말하기를 그들이 그 땅에서 아득하여 광야에 갇힌바 되었다 할찌라
4 And I will hardenPharaoh'sheart, that he shall followafter them; and I will be honoured upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I am the LORD. And they did so.[x]MKJV: And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, that he will follow them. And I will be honored upon Pharaoh, and upon all his army, so that the Egyptians may know that I [am] the LORD. 4 And I will make Pharaoh's heart hard, and he will come after them and I will be honoured over Pharaoh and all his army, so that the Egyptians may see that I am the Lord. And they did so.
4 내가 바로의 마음을 강퍅케 한즉 바로가 그들의 뒤를 따르리니 내가 그와 그 온 군대를 인하여 영광을 얻어 애굽 사람으로 나를 여호와인줄 알게 하리라 하시매 무리가 그대로 행하니라
5 And it was told the king of Egypt that the peoplefled: and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against the people, and they said, Why have we done this, that we have let Israelgo from serving us?[x]MKJV: And the king of Egypt was told that the people fled. And the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against the people. And they said, Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us? BBE: And word came to Pharaoh of the flight of the people: and the feeling of Pharaoh and of his servants about the people was changed, and they said, Why have we let Israel go, so that they will do no more work for us? 5 And word came to Pharaoh of the flight of the people: and the feeling of Pharaoh and of his servants about the people was changed, and they said, Why have we let Israel go, so that they will do no more work for us?
5 혹이 백성의 도망한 것을 애굽 왕에게 고하매 바로와 그 신하들이 백성에 대하여 마음이 변하여 가로되 우리가 어찌 이같이 하여 이스라엘을 우리를 섬김에서 놓아 보내었는고 하고
6 And he made ready his chariot, and took his people with him:[x]MKJV: And he made his chariot ready, and took his people with him. BBE: So he had his war-carriage made ready and took his people with him: KAV: 파라오가 자기 병거를 준비시키고 자기 백성을 데리고 가서

8 And the LORDhardened the heart of Pharaohking of Egypt, and he pursuedafter the children of Israel: and the children of Israel went out with an highhand.[x]MKJV: And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt. And he pursued the sons of Israel, and the sons of Israel went out with a high hand. BBE: And the Lord made the heart of Pharaoh hard, and he went after the children of Israel: for the children of Israel had gone out without fear. 8 And the Lord made the heart of Pharaoh hard, and he went after the children of Israel: for the children of Israel had gone out without fear.

9 But the Egyptianspursuedafter them, all the horsesandchariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, beforeBaalzephon.[x]MKJV: But the Egyptians pursued them, all the horses [and] chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army. And they overtook them camping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baal-zephon. 9 But the Egyptians went after them, all the horses and carriages of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them in their tents by the sea, by Pihahiroth, before Baal-zephon.
9 애굽 사람들과 바로의 말들, 병거들과 그 마병과 그 군대가 그들의 뒤를 따라 바알스본 맞은편 비하히롯 곁 해변 그 장막 친데 미치니라
10 And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptiansmarchedafter them; and they were soreafraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD.[x]MKJV: And Pharaoh drew near, the sons of Israel lifted up their eyes. And, behold, the Egyptians marched after them. And they were very afraid. And the sons of Israel cried out to the LORD. BBE: And when Pharaoh came near, the children of Israel, lifting up their eyes, saw the Egyptians coming after them, and were full of fear; and their cry went up to God. 10 And when Pharaoh came near, the children of Israel, lifting up their eyes, saw the Egyptians coming after them, and were full of fear; and their cry went up to God.
10 바로가 가까와 올 때에 이스라엘 자손이 눈을 들어 본즉 애굽 사람들이 자기 뒤에 미친지라 이스라엘 자손이 심히 두려워하여 여호와께 부르짖고
11 And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?[x]MKJV: And they said to Moses, Have you taken us away to die in the wilderness because [there were] no graves in Egypt? Why have you dealt this way with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt? BBE: And they said to Moses, Was there no resting-place for the dead in Egypt, that you have taken us away to come to our death in the waste land? why have you taken us out of Egypt? 11 And they said to Moses, Was there no resting-place for the dead in Egypt, that you have taken us away to come to our death in the waste land? why have you taken us out of Egypt?
11 그들이 또 모세에게 이르되 애굽에 매장지가 없으므로 당신이 우리를 이끌어 내어 이 광야에서 죽게 하느뇨 어찌하여 당신이 우리를 애굽에서 이끌어내어 이같이 우리에게 하느뇨
12Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had beenbetter for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.[x]MKJV: Did we not tell you this word in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, so that we may serve the Egyptians? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness. BBE: Did we not say to you in Egypt, Let us be as we are, working for the Egyptians? for it is better to be the servants of the Egyptians than to come to our death in the waste land. 13 And Mosessaid unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will show to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more forever.[x]MKJV: And Moses said to the people, Do not fear. Stand still and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will prepare for you this day. For the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you shall never see them anymore. BBE: But Moses said, Keep where you are and have no fear; now you will see the salvation of the Lord which he will give you today; for the Egyptians whom you see today you will never see again. 13 But Moses said, Keep where you are and have no fear; now you will see the salvation of the Lord which he will give you today; for the Egyptians whom you see today you will never see again.
13 모세가 백성에게 이르되 너희는 두려워 말고 가만히 서서 여호와께서 오늘날 너희를 위하여 행하시는 구원을 보라 너희가 오늘 본 애굽 사람을 또 다시는 영원히 보지 못하리라
14 The Lord will make war for you, you have only to keep quiet.
14 여호와께서 너희를 위하여 싸우시리니 너희는 가만히 있을지니라
15 And the LORDsaid unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:[x]MKJV: And the LORD said to Moses, Why do you cry to Me? Speak to the sons of Israel, that they go forward. BBE: And the Lord said to Moses, Why are you crying out to me? give the children of Israel the order to go forward. KAV: ¶ {주}께서 모세에게 이르시되, 네가 어찌하여 내게 부르짖느냐? 이스라엘 자손에게 말하여 그들이 앞으로 나가게 하되 TSK: And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:: ex 17:4, jos 7:10, ezr 10:4,5, ne 9:9
15 And the Lord said to Moses, Why are you crying out to me? give the children of Israel the order to go forward.
15 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 너는 어찌하여 내게 부르짖느뇨 이스라엘 자손을 명하여 앞으로 나가게 하고
16 But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dryground through the midst of the sea.[x]MKJV: But lift up your rod and stretch out your hand over the sea, and divide it. And the sons of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea. BBE: And let your rod be lifted up and your hand stretched out over the sea, and it will be parted in two; and the children of Israel will go through on dry land. 16 And let your rod be lifted up and your hand stretched out over the sea, and it will be parted in two; and the children of Israel will go through on dry land.

17 And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall followthem: and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.[x]MKJV: And behold! I [am] about to harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them. And I will get honor for Me upon Pharaoh, and upon all his army, upon his chariots and upon his horsemen. BBE: And I will make the heart of the Egyptians hard, and they will go in after them: and I will be honoured over Pharaoh and over his army, his war-carriages, and his horsemen. 17 내가 애굽 사람들의 마음을 강퍅케 할것인즉 그들이 그 뒤를 따라 들어갈 것이라 내가 바로와 그 모든 군대와 그 병거와 마병을 인하여 영광을 얻으리니
18 And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have gotten me honour upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.[x]MKJV: And the Egyptians shall know that I [am] the LORD when I have gotten honor for Me upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen. BBE: And the Egyptians will see that I am the Lord, when I get honour over Pharaoh and his war-carriages and his horsemen. KAV: 내가 파라오와 그의 병거들과 기병들로 인하여 영광을 얻을 때에 이집트 사람들이 내가 {주} 인 줄을 알리라, 하시니라. 18 And the Egyptians will see that I am the Lord, when I get honour over Pharaoh and his war-carriages and his horsemen.
18 내가 바로와 그 병거와 마병으로 인하여 영광을 얻을 때에야 애굽 사람들이 나를 여호와인줄 알리라 하시더니
19 And the angel of God, which wentbefore the camp of Israel, removed and wentbehind them; and the pillar of the cloudwent from before their face, and stoodbehind them:[x]MKJV: And the Angel of God, the one who went before the camp of Israel, moved. And he went to the rear of them. And the pillar of the cloud went from in front of their face and it stood behind them. BBE: Then the angel of God, who had been before the tents of Israel, took his place at their back; and the pillar of cloud, moving from before them, came to rest at their back: KAV: ¶ 이스라엘의 진영 앞에 가던 [하나님]의 천사가 이동하여 그들 뒤에서 가매 구름 기둥이 그들의 얼굴 앞에서 떠나가고 그들의 뒤에 서서 TSK: the angel: ex 14:24, ex 13:21, ex 23:20,21, ex 32:34, nu 20:16, isa 63:9; and the pillar: ex 13:21,22
19 Then the angel of God, who had been before the tents of Israel, took his place at their back; and the pillar of cloud, moving from before them, came to rest at their back:
19 이스라엘 진 앞에 행하던 하나님의 사자가 옮겨 그 뒤로 행하매 구름 기둥도 앞에서 그 뒤로 옮겨
20 And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darknessto them, but it gave light by nightto these: so that the one came not near the other all the night.[x]MKJV: And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel. And it was a cloudy and dark night, but it gave light to the night, so that the one did not come near the other all night. BBE: And it came between the army of Egypt and the army of Israel; and there was a dark cloud between them, and they went on through the night; but the one army came no nearer to the other all the night. KAV: 이집트 사람들의 진영과 이스라엘의 진영 사이에 당도하니라. 그것이 저들에게는 구름과 흑암이 되었고 이들에게는 밤에 빛을 주었으므로 밤새도록 저편이 이편에 가까이 오지 못하였더라. 20 And it came between the army of Egypt and the army of Israel; and there was a dark cloud between them, and they went on through the night; but the one army came no nearer to the other all the night.
20 애굽 진과 이스라엘 진 사이에 이르러 서니 저 편은 구름과 흑암이 있고 이 편은 밤이 광명하므로 밤새도록 저 편이 이 편에 가까이 못하였더라
21 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to goback by a strongeastwind all that night, and made the seadryland, and the waters were divided.[x]MKJV: And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea. And the LORD caused the sea to recede by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. BBE: And when Moses' hand was stretched out over the sea, the Lord with a strong east wind made the sea go back all night, and the waters were parted in two and the sea became dry land. 21 And when Moses' hand was stretched out over the sea, the Lord with a strong east wind made the sea go back all night, and the waters were parted in two and the sea became dry land.

22 And the children of Israelwent into the midst of the sea upon the dryground: and the waterswere a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.[x]MKJV: And the sons of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground. And the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left. BBE: And the children of Israel went through the sea on dry land: and the waters were a wall on their right side and on their left. 22 And the children of Israel went through the sea on dry land: and the waters were a wall on their right side and on their left.

23 And the Egyptianspursued, and went inafter them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh'shorses, his chariots, and his horsemen.[x]MKJV: And the Egyptians pursued and went after them to the middle of the sea, all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen. 25 And took off their chariotwheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptianssaid, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the LORDfighteth for them against the Egyptians.[x]MKJV: And He took off their chariot wheels, and made them go heavily, so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel, for the LORD fights for them against the Egyptians. 25 그 병거 바퀴를 벗겨서 달리기에 극난하게 하시니 애굽 사람들이 가로되 이스라엘 앞에서 우리가 도망하자 여호와가 그들을 위하여 싸워 애굽 사람들을 치는도다
26 And the LORDsaid unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen.[x]MKJV: And the LORD said to Moses, Stretch out your hand over the sea, so that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen. 27 모세가 곧 손을 바다 위로 내어밀매 새벽에 미쳐 바다의 그 세력이 회복된지라 애굽 사람들이 물을 거스려 도망하나 여호와께서 애굽 사람들을 바다 가운데 엎으시니
28 And the watersreturned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the seaafter them; there remained not so much asone of them.[x]MKJV: And the waters returned and covered the chariots and the horsemen, all the army of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them. There did not remain so much as one of them. 29 But the children of Israelwalked upon dryland in the midst of the sea; and the waterswere a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.[x]MKJV: But the sons of Israel walked upon dry land in the middle of the sea. And the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left. 30 Thus the LORDsavedIsrael that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israelsaw the Egyptiansdead upon the seashore.[x]MKJV: So the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians. 31 And Israelsaw that greatwork which the LORDdid upon the Egyptians: and the peoplefeared the LORD, and believed the LORD, and his servantMoses.[x]MKJV: And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did upon the Egyptians. And the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD and His servant Moses. BBE: And Israel saw the great work which the Lord had done against the Egyptians, and the fear of the Lord came on the people and they had faith in the Lord and in his servant Moses.
