3 Then Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and said to him, This is what the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, says: How long will you be lifted up in your pride before me? let my people go so that they may give me worship.

4Else, if thou refuse to let my peoplego, behold, to morrow will I bring the locusts into thy coast:[x]MKJV: For if you refuse to let My people go, behold, tomorrow I will bring the locusts into your coast. 4 For if you will not let my people go, tomorrow I will send locusts into your land:

5 And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to see the earth: and they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remaineth unto you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which groweth for you out of the field:[x]MKJV: And they shall cover the face of the land, so that one cannot be able to see the earth. And they shall eat the rest of that which has escaped, which remains to you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which grows for you out of the field. BBE: And the face of the earth will be covered with them, so that you will not be able to see the earth: and they will be the destruction of everything which up to now has not been damaged, everything which was not crushed by the ice-storm, and every tree still living in your fields. 6 And they shall fill thy houses, and the houses of all thy servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians; which neither thy fathers, nor thy fathersfathers have seen, since the day that they were upon the earth unto this day. 8 Then Moses and Aaron came in again before Pharaoh: and he said to them, Go and give worship to the Lord your God: but which of you are going?

10 And he said unto them, Let the LORD be so with you, as I will let you go, and your little ones: lookto it; for evilisbefore you.[x]MKJV: And he said to them, May the LORD be so with you, as I send you and your little ones away. Watch out, for evil [is] before you. BBE: And he said to them, May the Lord be with you, if I will let you and your little ones go! take care, for your purpose clearly is evil. 10 And he said to them, May the Lord be with you, if I will let you and your little ones go! take care, for your purpose clearly is evil.

11 Not so: go now ye that aremen, and serve the LORD; for that ye did desire. And they were driven out from Pharaoh'spresence.[x]MKJV: Not so! You men go now and serve the LORD, for it is you who did desire it. And they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence. BBE: Not so; but let your males go and give worship to the Lord, as your desire is. This he said, driving them out from before him. When it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts. And he said, I have sinned against the LORD your God, and against you. BBE: Then Pharaoh quickly sent for Moses and Aaron, and said, I have done evil against the Lord your God and against you. BBE: Let me now have forgiveness for my sin this time only, and make prayer to the Lord your God that he will take away from me this death only. 19 And the LORDturned a mightystrongwestwind, which took away the locusts, and cast them into the Redsea; there remained not onelocust in all the coasts of Egypt.[x]MKJV: And the LORD turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts and threw them into the Red Sea. There did not remain one locust in all the coasts of Egypt. BBE: And the Lord sent a very strong west wind, which took up the locusts, driving them into the Red Sea; not one locust was to be seen in any part of Egypt. 19 And the Lord sent a very strong west wind, which took up the locusts, driving them into the Red Sea; not one locust was to be seen in any part of Egypt.
19 여호와께서 돌이켜 강렬한 서풍이 불게 하사 메뚜기를 홍해에 몰아 넣으시니 애굽 온 지경에 메뚜기가 하나도 남지 아니하니라
20 But the LORDhardenedPharaoh'sheart, so that he would not let the children of Israelgo.[x]MKJV: But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he did not let the sons of Israel go. 21 And the LORDsaid unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darknesswhich may be felt.[x]MKJV: And the LORD said to Moses, Stretch out your hand toward the heavens, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, so that one may even feel the darkness. BBE: And the Lord said to Moses, Let your hand be stretched out to heaven, and all the land of Egypt will be dark, so that men will be feeling their way about in the dark. 22 And when Moses' hand was stretched out, dark night came over all the land of Egypt for three days;

23 They saw not oneanother, neither roseany from his place for threedays: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.[x]MKJV: They did not see one another, nor did any rise from his place, [for] three days. 24 Then Pharaoh sent for Moses, and said, Go and give worship to the Lord; only let your flocks and your herds be kept here: your little ones may go with you.
24 바로가 모세를 불러서 이르되 너희는 가서 여호와를 섬기되 너희 양과 소는 머물러 두고 너희 어린 것은 너희와 함께 갈찌니라
25 And Mosessaid, Thou must giveus also sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice unto the LORD our God.[x]MKJV: And Moses said, You must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, so that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God. BBE: But Moses said, You will have to let us take burned offerings to put before the Lord our God. 25 But Moses said, You will have to let us take burned offerings to put before the Lord our God.
25 모세가 가로되 왕이라도 우리 하나님 여호와께 드릴 희생과 번제물을 우리에게 주어야 하겠고
26 Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not an hoof be left behind; for thereof must we take to serve the LORD our God; and we know not with what we must serve the LORD, until we come thither.[x]MKJV: Our cattle also shall go with us. There shall not be a hoof left behind. For we must take from them to serve the LORD our God. And we do not know [with] what we must serve the LORD until we come there. BBE: So our cattle will have to go with us, not one may be kept back; for they are needed for the worship of the Lord our God; we have no knowledge what offering we have to give till we come to the place. 26 So our cattle will have to go with us, not one may be kept back; for they are needed for the worship of the Lord our God; we have no knowledge what offering we have to give till we come to the place.
26 우리의 생축도 우리와 함께 가고 한 마리도 남길 수 없으니 이는 우리가 그 중에서 취하여 우리 하나님 여호와를 섬길 것임이며 또 우리가 거기 이르기까지는 어떤 것으로 여호와를 섬길는지 알지 못함이니이다 하나
27 But the LORDhardenedPharaoh'sheart, and he would not let them go.[x]MKJV: But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let them go. 28 And Pharaohsaid unto him, Get thee from me, take heed to thyself, see my face no more; for in thatday thou seest my face thou shalt die.[x]MKJV: And Pharaoh said to him, Go away from me! Take heed to yourself; see my face no more. For in the day you see my face you shall die. BBE: And Pharaoh said to him, Go away from me, take care that you come not again before me; for the day when you see my face again will be your last.
