1Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evildayscome not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;
1 Let your mind be turned to your Maker in the days of your strength, while the evil days come not, and the years are far away when you will say, I have no pleasure in them;
1 너는 청년의 때 곧 곤고한 날이 이르기 전, 나는 아무 낙이 없다고 할 해가 가깝기 전에 너의 창조자를 기억하라
2 While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the cloudsreturnafter the rain:
2 While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, are not dark, and the clouds come not back after the rain;
2 해와 빛과 달과 별들이 어둡기 전에, 비 뒤에 구름이 다시 일어나기 전에 그리하라
3 In the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble, and the strongmen shall bow themselves, and the grinderscease because they are few, and those that look out of the windows be darkened,
3 In the day when the keepers of the house are shaking for fear, and the strong men are bent down, and the women who were crushing the grain are at rest because their number is small, and those looking out of the windows are unable to see;
3 그런 날에는 집을 지키는 자들이 떨것이며 힘 있는 자들이 구부러질 것이며 맷돌질 하는 자들이 적으므로 그칠 것이며 창들로 내어다 보는 자가 어두워질 것이며
4 And the doors shall be shut in the streets, when the sound of the grinding is low, and he shall rise up at the voice of the bird, and all the daughters of music shall be brought low;
4 When the doors are shut in the street, and the sound of the crushing is low, and the voice of the bird is soft, and the daughters of music will be made low;
4 길거리 문들이 닫혀질 것이며 맷돌 소리가 적어질 것이며 새의 소리를 인하여 일어날 것이며 음악하는 여자들은 다 쇠하여질 것이며
5 Also when they shall be afraid of that which ishigh, and fearsshall be in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail: because mangoeth to his longhome, and the mourners go about the streets:
5 And he is in fear of that which is high, and danger is in the road, and the tree is white with flower, and the least thing is a weight, and desire is at an end, because man goes to his last resting-place, and those who are sorrowing are in the streets;
5 그런 자들은 높은 곳을 두려워할 것이며 길에서는 놀랄 것이며 살구나무가 꽃이 필 것이며 메뚜기도 짐이 될 것이며 원욕이 그치리니 이는 사람이 자기 영원한 집으로 돌아가고 조문자들이 거리로 왕래하게 됨이라
6 Or ever the silvercord be loosed, or the goldenbowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheelbroken at the cistern.
6 Before ever the silver cord is cut, or the vessel of gold is broken, or the pot is broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the water-hole;
6 은줄이 풀리고 금 그릇이 깨어지고 항아리가 샘 곁에서 깨어지고 바퀴가 우물 위에서 깨어지고
7 Then shall the dustreturn to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
7 And the dust goes back to the earth as it was, and the spirit goes back to God who gave it.
7 흙은 여전히 땅으로 돌아가고 신은 그 주신 하나님께로 돌아가기 전에 기억하라
8Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all isvanity.
8 All things are to no purpose, says the Preacher, all is to no purpose.
8 전도자가 가로되 헛되고 헛되도다 모든 것이 헛되도다
9 And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the peopleknowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in ordermanyproverbs.
9 And because the Preacher was wise he still gave the people knowledge; searching out, testing, and putting in order a great number of wise sayings.
9 전도자가 지혜로움으로 여전히 백성에게 지식을 가르쳤고 또 묵상하고 궁구하여 잠언을 많이 지었으며
10 The preachersought to find outacceptablewords: and that which waswrittenwasupright, evenwords of truth.
10 The Preacher made search for words which were pleasing, but his writing was in words upright and true.
10 전도자가 힘써 아름다운 말을 구하였나니 기록한 것은 정직하여 진리의 말씀이니라
11 The words of the wiseare as goads, and as nailsfastenedby the masters of assemblies, which are given from oneshepherd.
11 The words of the wise are pointed, and sayings grouped together are like nails fixed with a hammer; they are given by one guide.
11 지혜자의 말씀은 찌르는 채찍 같고 회중의 스승의 말씀은 잘 박힌 못 같으니 다 한 목자의 주신바니라
12 And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of makingmanybooksthere is no end; and muchstudyis a weariness of the flesh.
12 And further, my son, take note of this: of the making of books there is no end, and much learning is a weariness to the flesh.
12 내 아들아 또 경계를 받으라 여러 책을 짓는 것은 끝이 없고 많이 공부하는 것은 몸을 피곤케 하느니라
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: FearGod, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
13 This is the last word. All has been said. Have fear of God and keep his laws; because this is right for every man.
13 일의 결국을 다 들었으니 하나님을 경외하고 그 명령을 지킬찌어다 이것이 사람의 본분이니라
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it begood, or whether it beevil.
14 God will be judge of every work, with every secret thing, good or evil.
