1Cast thy breadupon the waters: for thou shalt find it after manydays.
1 Put out your bread on the face of the waters; for after a long time it will come back to you again.
1 너는 네 식물을 물 위에 던지라 여러 날 후에 도로 찾으리라
2Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth.
2 Give a part to seven or even to eight, because you have no knowledge of the evil which will be on the earth.
2 일곱에게나 여덟에게 나눠줄찌어다 무슨 재앙이 땅에 임할는지 네가 알지 못함이니라
3 If the clouds be full of rain, they emptythemselves upon the earth: and if the treefall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the treefalleth, there it shall be.
3 If the clouds are full of rain, they send it down on the earth; and if a tree comes down to the south, or the north, in whatever place it comes down, there it will be.
3 구름에 비가 가득하면 땅에 쏟아지며 나무가 남으로나 북으로나 쓰러지면 그 쓰러진 곳에 그냥 있으리라
4 He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.
4 He who is watching the wind will not get the seed planted, and he who is looking at the clouds will not get in the grain.
4 풍세를 살펴보는 자는 파종하지 아니할 것이요 구름을 바라보는 자는 거두지 아니하리라
5 As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bonesdo grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.
5 As you have no knowledge of the way of the wind, or of the growth of the bones in the body of her who is with child, even so you have no knowledge of the works of God who has made all.
5 바람의 길이 어떠함과 아이 밴 자의 태에서 뼈가 어떻게 자라는 것을 네가 알지 못함 같이 만사를 성취하시는 하나님의 일을 네가 알지 못하느니라
6 In the morningsow thy seed, and in the eveningwithhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they bothshall bealikegood.
6 In the morning put your seed into the earth, and till the evening let not your hand be at rest; because you are not certain which will do well, this or that--or if the two will be equally good.
6 너는 아침에 씨를 뿌리고 저녁에도 손을 거두지 말라 이것이 잘 될는지, 저것이 잘 될는지, 혹 둘이 다 잘 될는지 알지 못함이니라
7 Truly the lightissweet, and a pleasantthing it is for the eyes to behold the sun:
7 Truly the light is sweet, and it is good for the eyes to see the sun.
7 빛은 실로 아름다운 것이라 눈으로 해를 보는 것이 즐거운 일이로다
8 But if a manlivemanyyears, andrejoice in them all; yet let him remember the days of darkness; for they shall be many. All that comethisvanity.
8 But even if a man's life is long and he has joy in all his years, let him keep in mind the dark days, because they will be great in number. Whatever may come is to no purpose.
8 사람이 여러 해를 살면 항상 즐거워할찌로다 그러나 캄캄한 날이 많으리니 그 날을 생각할찌로다 장래 일은 다 헛되도다
9Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heartcheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these thingsGod will bring thee into judgment.
9 Have joy, O young man, while you are young; and let your heart be glad in the days of your strength, and go in the ways of your heart, and in the desire of your eyes; but be certain that for all these things God will be your judge.
9 청년이여 네 어린 때를 즐거워하며 네 청년의 날을 마음에 기뻐하여 마음에 원하는 길과 네 눈이 보는대로 좇아 행하라 그러나 하나님이 이 모든 일로 인하여 너를 심판하실 줄 알라
10 Therefore removesorrow from thy heart, and put awayevil from thy flesh: for childhood and youtharevanity.
10 So put away trouble from your heart, and sorrow from your flesh; because the early years and the best years are to no purpose.
10 그런즉 근심으로 네 마음에서 떠나게 하며 악으로 네 몸에서 물러가게 하라 어릴 때와 청년의 때가 다 헛되니라
