2 Then he said to them, I am now a hundred and twenty years old; I am no longer able to go out and come in: and the Lord has said to me, You are not to go over Jordan.

3 The LORD thy God, he will go overbefore thee, and he will destroy these nations from before thee, and thou shalt possess them: andJoshua, he shall go overbefore thee, as the LORD hath said.[x]MKJV: The LORD your God will go over before you. He will destroy these nations from before you, and you shall possess them. Joshua [is] the one crossing over before you, as the LORD has said. 3 The Lord your God, he will go over before you; he will send destruction on all those nations, and you will take their land as your heritage: and Joshua will go over at your head as the Lord has said.

5 And the LORD shall give them up before your face, that ye may do unto them according unto all the commandments which I have commanded you.[x]MKJV: And the LORD shall give them up before your face, so that you may do to them according to all the commandments which I have commanded you. 5 The Lord will give them up into your hands, and you are to do to them as I have given you orders.

6 Be strong and take heart, and have no fear of them: for it is the Lord your God who is going with you; he will not take away his help from you.

7 And Mosescalled unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou must go with this people unto the land which the LORD hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it.[x]MKJV: And Moses called to Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage. 8 And the LORD, he it is that doth gobefore thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.[x]MKJV: And Jehovah [is] He who goes before you. 13 And that their children, which have not knownany thing, may hear, and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as ye live in the land whither ye go overJordan to possess it.[x]MKJV: and [that] their sons who have not known may hear and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as you live in the land where you go over Jordan to possess it. And Moses and Joshuawent, and presented themselves in the tabernacle of the congregation.[x]MKJV: And the LORD said to Moses, Behold, your days are coming near to die. And this people shall rise up and go lusting after the gods of the strangers of the land into which they are going, into their midst. And they will forsake Me and break My covenant which I made with them. 16 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 너는 너의 열조와 함께 자려니와 이 백성은 들어가 거할 그 땅에서 일어나서 이방 신들을 음란히 좇아 나를 버리며 내가 그들과 세운 언약을 어길 것이라
17 Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and manyevils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evilscome upon us, because our Godis not among us?[x]MKJV: Then My anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them. And I will hide My face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them, so that they will say in that day, Have not these evils come on us because our God [is] not among us? BBE: In that day my wrath will be moved against them, and I will be turned away from them, veiling my face from them, and destruction will overtake them, and unnumbered evils and troubles will come on them; so that in that day they will say, Have not these evils come on us because our God is not with us? 17 그 때에 내가 그들에게 진노하여 그들을 버리며 내 얼굴을 숨겨 그들에게 보이지 않게 할것인즉 그들이 삼킴을 당하여 허다한 재앙과 환난이 그들에게 임할 그 때에 그들이 말하기를 이 재앙이 우리에게 임함은 우리 하나님이 우리 중에 계시지 않은 까닭이 아니뇨 할 것이라
18 And I will surelyhide my face in that day for all the evils which they shall have wrought, in that they are turned unto othergods.[x]MKJV: And I will surely hide My face in that day for all the evils which they have done, for they shall turn to other gods. BBE: Truly, my face will be turned away from them in that day, because of all the evil they have done in going after other gods. KAV: 그들이 돌이켜 다른 신들을 따르면서 저지른 모든 악행으로 인하여 내가 그 날에 반드시 내 얼굴을 숨기리라. 20 For when I shall have brought them into the land which I sware unto their fathers, that floweth with milk and honey; and they shall have eaten and filled themselves, and waxen fat; then will they turn unto othergods, and serve them, and provoke me, and break my covenant.[x]MKJV: For when I shall have brought them into the land which I swore to their fathers, the land that flows [with] milk and honey, and they shall have eaten and have become satisfied, and become fat, then turn to other gods and serve them, and provoke Me and break My covenant.
