2 And they will have no heritage among their countrymen: the Lord is their heritage, as he has said to them.

3 And this shall be the priest'sdue from the people, from them that offer a sacrifice, whether it beox or sheep; and they shall give unto the priest the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the maw.[x]MKJV: And this shall be the priest's due from the people, from those that offer a sacrifice, whether ox or sheep. 3 And this is to be the priests' right: those who make an offering of a sheep or an ox are to give to the priest the top part of the leg and the two sides of the head and the stomach.

6 And if a Levite, moved by a strong desire, comes from any town in all Israel where he is living to the place marked out by the Lord;

8 They shall have like portions to eat, beside that which cometh of the sale of his patrimony.[x]MKJV: They shall have the same portions to eat, besides that of the sales of [the inheritance from] his father. 9 When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy Godgiveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.[x]MKJV: When you come to the land which the LORD your God gives you, you shall not learn to do according to the abominations of those nations. BBE: When you have come into the land which the Lord your God is giving you, do not take as your example the disgusting ways of those nations. 11 Or a charmerㆍ, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.[x]MKJV: or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or one who calls to the dead. 12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.[x]MKJV: For all that do these things [are] an abomination to the LORD. And because of these abominations the LORD your God drives them out from before you. BBE: For all who do such things are disgusting to the Lord; and because of these disgusting things the Lord your God is driving them out before you. 12 For all who do such things are disgusting to the Lord; and because of these disgusting things the Lord your God is driving them out before you.

But as for you, the LORD your God has not allowed you [to do] so. BBE: For these nations, whose land you are taking, give attention to readers of signs and to those using secret arts: but the Lord your God will not let you do so. 14 For these nations, whose land you are taking, give attention to readers of signs and to those using secret arts: but the Lord your God will not let you do so.
14 네가 쫓아낼 이 민족들은 길흉을 말하는 자나 복술자의 말을 듣거니와 네게는 네 하나님 여호와께서 이런 일을 용납지 아니하시느니라
15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;[x]MKJV: The LORD your God will raise up to you a Prophet from the midst of you, of your brothers, One like me. 19 And it shall come to pass, thatwhosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will requireit of him.[x]MKJV: And it shall happen, whatever man will not listen to My words which He shall speak in My name, I will require [it] of him. BBE: And whoever does not give ear to my words which he will say in my name, will be responsible to me. KAV: 누구든지 그가 내 이름으로 말할 내 말들에 귀를 기울이지 아니하면 내가 그에게 그것을 요구하리라. 19 And whoever does not give ear to my words which he will say in my name, will be responsible to me.

20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of othergods, even that prophet shall die.[x]MKJV: But the prophet who shall presume to speak a word in My name which I have not commanded him to speak or who shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. BBE: But the prophet who takes it on himself to say words in my name which I have not given him orders to say, or who says anything in the name of other gods, will come to his death. 20 내가 고하라고 명하지 아니한 말을 어떤 선지자가 만일 방자히 내 이름으로 고하든지 다른 신들의 이름으로 말하면 그 선지자는 죽임을 당하리라 하셨느니라
21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?[x]MKJV: And if you say in your heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken? BBE: And if you say in your hearts, How are we to be certain that the word does not come from the Lord? KAV: 네가 혹시 마음속으로 이르기를, {주}께서 이르시지 않은 말씀을 우리가 어떻게 알리요? 하리니 TSK: And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?: 1th 5:24, 1jo 4:1-3, re 2:2
21 And if you say in your hearts, How are we to be certain that the word does not come from the Lord?
21 네가 혹시 심중에 이르기를 그 말이 여호와의 이르신 말씀인지 우리가 어떻게 알리요 하리라
22 When a prophetspeaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.[x]MKJV: When a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not follow nor come to pass, that [is] the thing which the LORD has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You shall not be afraid of him. BBE: When a prophet makes a statement in the name of the Lord, if what he says does not take place and his words do not come true, then his word is not the word of the Lord: the words of the prophet were said in the pride of his heart, and you are to have no fear of him. 22 만일 선지자가 있어서 여호와의 이름으로 말한 일에 증험도 없고 성취함도 없으면 이는 여호와의 말씀하신 것이 아니요 그 선지자가 방자히 한 말이니 너는 그를 두려워 말찌니라
