1 If ever you have among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams and he gives you a sign or a wonder,

2 네게 말하기를 네가 본래 알지 못하던 다른 신들을 우리가 좇아 섬기자 하며 이적과 기사가 그 말대로 이룰찌라도
3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your Godproveth you, to know whether yelove the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.[x]MKJV: you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams. For the LORD your God [is] testing you to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. BBE: Then give no attention to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams: for the Lord your God is testing you, to see if all the love of your heart and soul is given to him. 3 Then give no attention to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams: for the Lord your God is testing you, to see if all the love of your heart and soul is given to him.
3 너는 그 선지자나 꿈 꾸는 자의 말을 청종하지 말라 이는 너희 하나님 여호와께서 너희가 마음을 다하고 성품을 다하여 너희 하나님 여호와를 사랑하는 여부를 알려하사 너희를 시험하심이니라
4 Ye shall walkafter the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.[x]MKJV: You shall walk after the LORD your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments, and obey His voice, and you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him. BBE: But keep on in the ways of the Lord your God, fearing him and keeping his orders and hearing his voice, worshipping him and being true to him. 4 But keep on in the ways of the Lord your God, fearing him and keeping his orders and hearing his voice, worshipping him and being true to him.

5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turnyou away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy Godcommanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evilaway from the midst of thee.[x]MKJV: And that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has spoken to turn [you] away from the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you out of the house of slaves, to thrust you out of the way in which the LORD your God commanded you to walk. So you shall put the evil away from the midst of you. BBE: And that prophet or that dreamer of dreams is to be put to death; for his words were said with the purpose of turning you away from the Lord your God, who took you out of the land of Egypt and made you free from the prison-house; and of forcing you out of the way in which the Lord your God has given you orders to go. So you are to put away the evil from among you. 6 네 동복 형제나 네 자녀나 네 품의 아내나 너와 생명을 함께하는 친구가 가만히 너를 꾀어 이르기를 너와 네 열조가 알지 못하던 다른 신들
7Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the oneend of the earth even unto the otherend of the earth;[x]MKJV: that is, of the gods of the people who [are] around you, near you or far off from you, from the one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth, BBE: Gods of the peoples round about you, near or far, from one end of the earth to the other; KAV: 곧 네게서 가깝든지 네게서 멀든지 땅 이 끝에서 저 끝까지 네 주위에 있는 백성의 신들을 섬기자, 할지라도
7 Gods of the peoples round about you, near or far, from one end of the earth to the other;
7 곧 네 사방에 둘러 있는 민족 혹 네게서 가깝든지 네게서 멀든지 땅 이 끝에서 저 끝까지 있는 민족의 신들을 우리가 가서 섬기자 할찌라도
8 Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eyepity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:[x]MKJV: you shall not consent to him nor listen to him. Nor shall your eye pity him, nor shall you spare, nor shall you hide him. 8 Do not be guided by him or give attention to him; have no pity on him or mercy, and give him no cover;

9 But thou shalt surelykill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.[x]MKJV: But you shall surely kill him. Your hand shall be first on him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. BBE: But put him to death without question; let your hand be the first stretched out against him to put him to death, and then the hands of all the people. 9 But put him to death without question; let your hand be the first stretched out against him to put him to death, and then the hands of all the people.
9 너는 용서 없이 그를 죽이되 죽일 때에 네가 먼저 그에게 손을 대고 후에 뭇 백성이 손을 대라
10 And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.[x]MKJV: And you shall stone him with stones so that he dies, because he has sought to drive you away from the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of slaves. BBE: Let him be stoned with stones till he is dead; because it was his purpose to make you false to the Lord your God, who took you out of the land of Egypt, out of the prison-house. 10 그는 애굽 땅 종 되었던 집에서 너를 인도하여 내신 네 하나님 여호와에게서 너를 꾀어 떠나게 하려한 자니 너는 돌로 쳐 죽이라
11 And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall do no moreany such wickedness as this is among you.[x]MKJV: And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any such wickedness as this among you. BBE: And all Israel, hearing of it, will be full of fear, and no one will again do such evil as this among you. KAV: 그리하면 온 이스라엘이 듣고 두려워하여 다시는 이 같은 악을 너희 가운데서 행하지 아니하리라. 12 If thou shalt hearsay in one of thy cities, which the LORD thy God hath given thee to dwell there, saying,[x]MKJV: If, in one of your cities which the LORD your God has given you to dwell in, you shall hear [one] saying, BBE: And if word comes to you, in one of the towns which the Lord your God is giving you for your resting-place, KAV: ¶ {주} 네 [하나님]께서 네게 주어 거하게 하신 도시들 중 하나에서 네게 소문이 들려 이르기를, TSK: If thou shalt hear say in one of thy cities, which the LORD thy God hath given thee to dwell there, saying,: jos 22:11-34, jud 20:1,2-17
12 And if word comes to you, in one of the towns which the Lord your God is giving you for your resting-place,

13 너희 중 어떤 잡류가 일어나서 그 성읍 거민을 유혹하여 이르기를 너희가 알지 못하던 다른 신들을 우리가 가서 섬기자 한다 하거든
14 Then shalt thou inquire, and make search, and askdiligently; and, behold, if it betruth, and the thingcertain, thatsuchabomination is wroughtamong you;[x]MKJV: then you shall inquire and make search, and ask carefully. And behold, [if it is true], and the thing is certain, [that] such an abomination is done among you, BBE: Then let a full search be made, and let questions be put with care; and if it is true and certain that such a disgusting thing has been done among you; KAV: 너는 조사하고 살펴보고 부지런히 물어보되, 보라, 그 일이 사실이며 이런 가증한 일이 너희 가운데서 이루어졌음이 확실하면 TSK: Then shalt thou enquire, and make search, and ask diligently; and, behold, if it be truth, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought among you;: de 17:4, de 10:18, nu 35:30, isa 11:3,4, joh 7:24, 1ti 5:19
14 Then let a full search be made, and let questions be put with care; and if it is true and certain that such a disgusting thing has been done among you;

15 Thou shalt surelysmite the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword.[x]MKJV: you shall surely strike those who live in that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it completely, and all that [is] in it, and all the cattle of it, with the edge of the sword. BBE: Then take up arms against the people of that town and give it up to the curse, with all its cattle and everything in it. 16 And thou shalt gather all the spoil of it into the midst of the street thereof, and shalt burn with fire the city, and all the spoil thereof every whit, for the LORD thy God: and it shall be an heap for ever; it shall not be built again.[x]MKJV: And you shall gather all its spoil into the middle of its street, and shall burn the city with fire, and all its spoil, every bit of it, for the LORD your God. And it shall be a heap forever. It shall not be built again. BBE: And take all the goods into the middle of its open space, burning the town and all its property with fire as an offering to the Lord your God; it is to be a waste for ever; there is to be no more building there. 16 And take all the goods into the middle of its open space, burning the town and all its property with fire as an offering to the Lord your God; it is to be a waste for ever; there is to be no more building there.
16 또 그 속에서 빼앗아 얻은 물건을 다 거리에 모아 놓고 그 성읍과 그 탈취물 전부를 불살라 네 하나님 여호와께 드릴찌니 그 성읍은 영영히 무더기가 되어 다시는 건축됨이 없을 것이니라
17 And there shall cleavenought of the cursed thing to thine hand: that the LORD may turn from the fierceness of his anger, and show thee mercy, and have compassion upon thee, and multiply thee, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers;[x]MKJV: And let nothing of the cursed thing cling to your hand, so that the LORD may turn from the heat of his anger and show you mercy, and give mercies to you, and multiply you as He has sworn to your fathers, BBE: Keep not a thing of what is cursed for yourselves: so the Lord may be turned away from the heat of his wrath, and have mercy on you, and give you increase as he said in his oath to your fathers: KAV: 너는 저주받은 물건에 조금도 네 손을 대지 말라. 그리하면 {주}께서 자신의 맹렬한 분노를 돌이키시고 네게 긍휼을 베푸시며 너를 불쌍히 여기사 네 조상들에게 맹세하신 것 같이 너를 번성하게 하시리니 TSK: cleave: de 7:26, jos 6:18, jos 7:1; cursed: le 27:28,29, 1co 16:22; the Lord: jos 6:26, jos 7:26, jos 22:20, ps 78:38; and shew: ex 20:6, la 3:32; and multiply: eze 37:26; as he hath: ge 22:16,17, ge 26:4,24, ge 28:14
17 Keep not a thing of what is cursed for yourselves: so the Lord may be turned away from the heat of his wrath, and have mercy on you, and give you increase as he said in his oath to your fathers:
17 너는 이 진멸할 물건을 조금도 네 손에 대지 말라 그리하면 여호와께서 그 진노를 그치시고 너를 긍휼히 여기시고 자비를 더하사 너의 열조에게 맹세하심 같이 네 수효를 번성케 하실 것이라
18 When thou shalt hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep all his commandments which I command thee this day, to dothat which isright in the eyes of the LORD thy God.[x]MKJV: when you listen to the voice of the LORD your God, to keep all His commandments which I command you today, to do the right in the eyes of the LORD your God. BBE: So long as you give ear to the voice of the Lord your God, and keep all his orders which I give you today, and do what is right in the eyes of the Lord your God. 18 So long as you give ear to the voice of the Lord your God, and keep all his orders which I give you today, and do what is right in the eyes of the Lord your God.
18 네가 만일 네 하나님 여호와의 말씀을 듣고 오늘날 내가 네게 명하는 그 모든 명령을 지켜 네 하나님 여호와의 목전에 정직을 행하면 이같이 되리라
