1 At that time the Lord said to me, Make two other stones, cut like the first two, and come up to me on the mountain, and make an ark of wood.

4 And he wrote on the tables, according to the firstwriting, the tencommandments, which the LORDspake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and the LORDgave them unto me.[x]MKJV: And He wrote on the tablets, according to the first writing, the Ten Commandments which the LORD spoke to you in the mountain out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly. And the LORD gave them to me. 5 And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they be, as the LORDcommanded me.[x]MKJV: And I turned myself and came down from the mountain, and put the tablets in the ark which I had made. And there they are, as the LORD commanded me. BBE: And turning round I came down from the mountain and put the stones in the ark which I had made; and there they are as the Lord gave me orders. 6 And the children of Israel took their journey from Beeroth of the children of Jaakan to Mosera: there Aarondied, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest's office in his stead.[x]MKJV: And the sons of Israel pulled up [stakes] from Beeroth of the sons of Jaakan to Mosera. There Aaron died, and there he was buried. And Eleazar his son served in the priest's office in his place. 10 And I stayed in the mount, according to the firsttime, fortydays and fortynights; and the LORDhearkened unto me at that time also, and the LORDwould not destroy thee.[x]MKJV: And I stayed in the mountain, according to the first time, forty days and forty nights. And the LORD listened to me at that time also. The LORD would not destroy you. BBE: And I was in the mountain, as at the first time, for forty days and forty nights; and again the ears of the Lord were open to my prayer, and he did not send destruction on you. 11 And the LORDsaid unto me, Arise, takethyjourneybefore the people, that they may go in and possess the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give unto them.[x]MKJV: And the LORD said to me, Arise, Go before the people, causing them to go in and possess the land which I swore to their fathers to give to them.
