2 Then the king gave orders that the wonder-workers, and the users of secret arts, and those who made use of evil powers, and the Chaldaeans, were to be sent for to make clear to the king his dreams. So they came and took their places before the king.
2 왕이 그 꿈을 자기에게 고하게 하려고 명하여 박수와 술객과 점장이와 갈대아 술사를 부르매 그들이 들어와서 왕의 앞에 선지라

5 The kinganswered and said to the Chaldeans, The thing is gone from me: if ye will not make known unto me the dream, with the interpretation thereof, ye shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made a dunghill.
5 The king made answer and said to the Chaldaeans, This is my decision: if you do not make clear to me the dream and the sense of it, you will be cut in bits and your houses made waste.
5 왕이 갈대아 술사에게 대답하여 가로되 내가 명령을 내렸나니 너희가 만일 꿈과 그 해석을 나로 알게 하지 아니하면 너희 몸을 쪼갤 것이며 너희 집으로 거름터를 삼을 것이요

If you will not make known to me the dream, with its meaning, you will be made into [mere] members, and your houses shall be made an outhouse. 8 The kinganswered and said, Iknowofcertainty that ye would gain the time, becauseyesee the thing is gonefrom me.
8 The king made answer and said, I am certain that you are attempting to get more time, because you see that my decision is fixed;
8 왕이 대답하여 가로되 내가 분명히 아노라 너희가 나의 명령이 내렸음을 보았으므로 시간을 천연하려 함이로다

9 But if ye will not make known unto me the dream, there is butoneㆍdecree for you: for ye have preparedlying and corruptwords to speakbefore me, till the time be changed: thereforetell me the dream, and I shall knowthat ye can show me the interpretation thereof.
9 That if you do not make my dream clear to me there is only one fate for you: for you have made ready false and evil words to say before me till the times are changed: so give me an account of the dream, and I will be certain that you are able to make the sense of it clear.
9 너희가 만일 이 꿈을 나로 알게 하지 아니하면 너희를 처치할 법이 오직 하나이니 이는 너희가 거짓말과 망령된 말을 내 앞에서 꾸며 말하여 때가 변하기를 기다리려 함이니라 이제 그 꿈을 내게 알게 하라 그리하면 너희가 그 해석도 보일줄을 내가 알리라

10 The Chaldeansansweredbefore the king, and said, There isnot a manupon the earth that canshow the king'smatter: thereforethere is noking, lord, nor ruler, thataskedsuchthings at anymagician, or astrologer, or Chaldean.
10 Then the Chaldaeans said to the king in answer, There is not a man on earth able to make clear the king's business; for no king, however great his power, has ever made such a request to any wonder-worker or user of secret arts or Chaldaean.
10 갈대아 술사들이 왕 앞에 대답하여 가로되 세상에는 왕의 그 일을 보일 자가 하나도 없으므로 크고 권력 있는 왕이 이런 것으로 박수에게나 술객에게나 갈대아 술사에게 물은 자가 절대로 있지 아니하였나이다
[x]MKJV: The Chaldeans answered before the king and said, There is not a man on the earth who can reveal the king's matter, because not any king, lord, nor ruler has asked such a thing from any horoscopist or conjurer or Chaldean. BBE: Then the Chaldaeans said to the king in answer, There is not a man on earth able to make clear the king's business; for no king, however great his power, has ever made such a request to any wonder-worker or user of secret arts or Chaldaean. KAV: ¶ 갈대아 사람들이 왕 앞에서 응답하여 이르되, 땅에는 왕의 그 일을 보여 줄 자가 아무도 없나이다. 그러므로 어떤 왕이나 군주나 치리자도 이런 일들을 마술사나 별을 살피는 자나 갈대아 사람에게 물어 본 적이 없었나이다.
11 And it is a rarething that the kingrequireth, and there isnoneother that can show it before the king, except the gods, whose dwellingisnotwithflesh.
11 The king's request is a very hard one, and there is no other who is able to make it clear to the king, but the gods, whose living-place is not with flesh.
11 왕의 물으신 것은 희한한 일이라 육체와 함께 거하지 아니하는 신들 외에는 왕 앞에 그것을 보일 자가 없나이다 한지라
12Forthiscause the king was angry and veryfurious, and commanded to destroyall the wisemen of Babylon.
12 Because of this the king was angry and full of wrath, and gave orders for the destruction of all the wise men of Babylon.
12 왕이 이로 인하여 진노하고 통분하여 바벨론 모든 박사를 다 멸하라 명하니라
[x]MKJV: For this cause the king was enraged and angered, and commanded all the wise men of Babylon to be destroyed. 16 Then Daniel went in, and desiredof the king that he would give him time, and that he would show the king the interpretation.
16 And Daniel went in and made a request to the king to give him time and he would make clear the sense of his dream to the king.
16 다니엘이 들어가서 왕께 구하기를 기한하여 주시면 왕에게 그 해석을 보여 드리겠다 하니라

18 하늘에 계신 하나님이 이 은밀한 일에 대하여 긍휼히 여기사 자기 다니엘과 동무들이 바벨론의 다른 박사와 함께 죽임을 당치 않게 하시기를 그들로 구하게 하니라

20 And Daniel said in answer, May the name of God be praised for ever and ever: for wisdom and strength are his:
20 다니엘이 말하여 가로되 영원 무궁히 하나님의 이름을 찬송할 것은 지혜와 권능이 그에게 있음이로다
21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removethkings, and setteth upkings: he givethwisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that knowunderstanding:
21 By him times and years are changed: by him kings are taken away and kings are lifted up: he gives wisdom to the wise, and knowledge to those whose minds are awake:
21 그는 때와 기한을 변하시며 왕들을 폐하시고 왕들을 세우시며 지혜자에게 지혜를 주시고 지식자에게 총명을 주시는도다
23Ithank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king'smatter.
23 I give you praise and worship, O God of my fathers, who have given me wisdom and strength, and have now made clear to me what we were requesting from you: for you have given us knowledge of the king's business.
23 나의 열조의 하나님이여 주께서 이제 내게 지혜와 능력을 주시고 우리가 주께 구한바 일을 내게 알게 하셨사오니 내가 주께 감사하고 주를 찬양하나이다 곧 주께서 왕의 그 일을 내게 보이셨나이다 하니라
24ThereforeㆍㆍDaniel went inuntoArioch, whom the king had ordained to destroy the wisemen of Babylon: he went and saidthus unto him; Destroynot the wisemen of Babylon: bring me inbefore the king, and I will show unto the king the interpretation.
24 For this reason Daniel went to Arioch, to whom the king had given orders for the destruction of the wise men of Babylon, and said to him, Do not put to death the wise men of Babylon: take me in before the king and I will make clear to him the sense of the dream.
24 이에 다니엘이 왕이 바벨론 박사들을 멸하라 명한 아리옥에게로 가서 이르매 그에게 이같이 이르되 바벨론 박사들을 멸하지 말고 나를 왕의 앞으로 인도하라 그리하면 내가 그 해석을 왕께 보여 드리리라

25ThenArioch brought inDanielbefore the king in haste, and saidthus unto him, I have found a man of the captivesㆍofJudah, that will make known unto the king the interpretation.
25 Then Arioch quickly took Daniel in before the king, and said to him, Here is a man from among the prisoners of Judah, who will make clear to the king the sense of the dream.
25 이에 아리옥이 다니엘을 데리고 급히 왕의 앞에 들어가서 고하되 내가 사로잡혀 온 유다 자손 중에서 한 사람을 얻었나이다 그가 그 해석을 왕께 아시게 하리이다

26 왕이 대답하여 벨드사살이라 이름한 다니엘에게 이르되 내가 얻은 꿈과 그 해석을 네가 능히 내게 알게 하겠느냐

35Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to piecestogether, and became like the chaffof the summerthreshingfloors; and the windcarriedthemaway, thatnoplace was found for them: and the stone that smote the imagebecame a greatmountain, and filled the wholeearth.
35 Then the iron and the earth, the brass and the silver and the gold, were smashed together, and became like the dust on the floors where grain is crushed in summer; and the wind took them away so that no sign of them was to be seen: and the stone which gave the image a blow became a great mountain, covering all the earth.

44 And in the days of those kings, the God of heaven will put up a kingdom which will never come to destruction, and its power will never be given into the hands of another people, and all these kingdoms will be broken and overcome by it, but it will keep its place for ever.
44 이 열왕의 때에 하늘의 하나님이 한 나라를 세우시리니 이것은 영원히 망하지도 아니할 것이요 그 국권이 다른 백성에게로 돌아가지도 아니할 것이요 도리어 이 모든 나라를 쳐서 멸하고 영원히 설 것이라
