And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,1 And while they were talking to the people, the priests and the captain of the Temple and the Sadducees came up to them,1 사도들이 백성에게 말할 때에 제사장들과 성전 맡은 자와 사두개인들이 이르러
Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.2 Being greatly troubled because they were teaching the people and preaching Jesus as an example of the coming back from the dead.2 백성을 가르침과 예수를 들어 죽은자 가운데서 부활하는 도 전함을 싫어하여
And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.3 And they took them and put them in prison till the morning, for it was now evening.3 저희를 잡으매 날이 이미 저문고로 이튿날까지 가두었으나
Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.4 But a number of those who gave hearing to the word had faith; and they were now about five thousand.4 말씀을 들은 사람 중에 믿는 자가 많으니 남자의 수가 약 오천이나 되었더라
And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes,5 And on the day after, the rulers and those in authority and the scribes came together in Jerusalem;5 이튿날에 관원과 장로와 서기관들이 예루살렘에 모였는데
And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.6 And Annas, the high priest, was there, and Caiaphas and John and Alexander, and all the relations of the high priest.6 대제사장 안나스와 가야바와 요한과 알렉산더와 및 대제사장의 문중이 다 참예하여
And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?7 Then sending for Peter and John, they said, By what power and in whose name have you done this?7 사도들을 가운데 세우고 묻되 너희가 무슨 권세와 뉘 이름으로 이 일을 행하였느냐
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,8 Then Peter, being full of the Holy Spirit, said to them, O you rulers of the people and men of authority,8 이에 베드로가 성령이 충만하여 가로되 백성의 관원과 장로들아
If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;9 If we are questioned today about a good work done to a man who was ill, as to how he has been made well,9 만일 병인에게 행한 착한 일에 대하여 이 사람이 어떻게 구원을 얻었느냐고 오늘 우리에게 질문하면
Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.10 Take note, all of you, and all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you put to death on the cross, whom God gave back from the dead, even through him is this man now before you completely well.10 너희와 모든 이스라엘 백성들은 알라 너희가 십자가에 못 박고 하나님이 죽은자 가운데서 살리신 나사렛 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 이 사람이 건강하게 되어 너희 앞에 섰느니라
This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.11 He is the stone which you builders had no use for, but which has been made the chief stone of the building.11 이 예수는 너희 건축자들의 버린 돌로서 집 모퉁이의 머릿돌이 되었느니라
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.12 And in no other is there salvation: for there is no other name under heaven, given among men, through which we may have salvation.12 다른이로서는 구원을 얻을 수 없나니 천하 인간에 구원을 얻을만한 다른 이름을 우리에게 주신 일이 없음이니라 하였더라
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.13 Now when they saw that Peter and John were without fear, though they were men of no education or learning, they were greatly surprised; and they took note of them that they had been with Jesus.13 저희가 베드로와 요한이 기탄없이 말함을 보고 그 본래 학문 없는 범인으로 알았다가 이상히 여기며 또 그 전에 예수와 함께 있던 줄도 알고
And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.14 And, seeing that the man who had been made well was there with them, they were not able to say anything against it.14 또 병 나은 사람이 그들과 함께 섰는 것을 보고 힐난할 말이 없는지라
But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,15 But when they had given them orders to go out of the Sanhedrin, they had a discussion among themselves,15 명하여 공회에서 나가라 하고 서로 의논하여 가로되
Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.16 Saying, What are we to do with these men? for certainly it is clear to all who are living in Jerusalem that a most important sign has been done by them, and it is not possible to say that it is not so.16 이 사람들을 어떻게 할꼬 저희로 인하여 유명한 표적 나타난 것이 예루살렘에 사는 모든 사람에게 알려졌으니 우리도 부인할 수 없는지라
But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.17 But so that it may not go farther among the people, let us put them in fear of punishment if they say anything in future in this name.17 이것이 민간에 더 퍼지지 못하게 저희를 위협하여 이 후에는 이 이름으로 아무 사람에게도 말하지 말게 하자 하고
And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.18 And they sent for them, and gave them orders not to make statements or give teaching in the name of Jesus.18 그들을 불러 경계하여 도무지 예수의 이름으로 말하지도 말고 가르치지도 말라 하니
But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.19 But Peter and John in answer said to them, It is for you to say if it is right in the eyes of God to give attention to you more than to God:19 베드로와 요한이 대답하여 가로되 하나님 앞에서 너희 말 듣는 것이 하나님 말씀 듣는 것보다 옳은가 판단하라
For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.20 For it is not possible for us to keep from saying what we have seen and have knowledge of.20 우리는 보고 들은 것을 말하지 아니할 수 없다 하니
So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.21 And when they had said more sharp words to them, they let them go, not seeing what punishment they might give them, because of the people; for all men were giving praise to God for what had taken place.21 관원들이 백성을 인하여 저희를 어떻게 벌할 도리를 찾지 못하고 다시 위협하여 놓아 주었으니 이는 모든 사람이 그 된 일을 보고 하나님께 영광을 돌림이러라
For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was showed.22 For the man on whom this act of power was done was more than forty years old.22 이 표적으로 병 나은 사람은 사십 여세나 되었더라
And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.23 And when they had been made free, they came back to their friends, and gave an account of all the things which the chief priests and the authorities had said to them.23 사도들이 놓이매 그 동류에게 가서 제사장들과 장로들의 말을 다 고하니
And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:24 And hearing it, they all, with one mind, made prayer to God and said, O Lord, maker of heaven and earth and the sea and all things in them:24 저희가 듣고 일심으로 하나님께 소리를 높여 가로되 대주재여 천지와 바다와 그 가운데 만유를 지은 이시요
Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?25 Who has said, by the Holy Spirit, through the mouth of our father David your servant, Why are the nations so violently moved, and why are the thoughts of the people so foolish?25 또 주의 종 우리 조상 다윗의 입을 의탁하사 성령으로 말씀하시기를 어찌하여 열방이 분노하며 족속들이 허사를 경영하였는고
The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.26 The kings of the earth were lifted up, the rulers came together, against the Lord, and against his Christ:26 세상의 군왕들이 나서며 관원들이 함께 모여 주와 그 그리스도를 대적하도다 하신 이로소이다
For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,27 For, truly, in this town, against your holy servant, Jesus, who was marked out by you as Christ, Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, came together,27 과연 헤롯과 본디오 빌라도는 이방인과 이스라엘 백성과 합동하여 하나님의 기름부으신 거룩한 종 예수를 거스려
For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.28 To do that which had been fixed before by your hand and your purpose.28 하나님의 권능과 뜻대로 이루려고 예정하신 그것을 행하려고 이 성에 모였나이다
And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,29 And now, Lord, take note of their cruel words, and give your servants power to be preachers of your word without fear,29 주여 이제도 저희의 위협함을 하감하옵시고 또 종들로 하여금 담대히 하나님의 말씀을 전하게 하여 주옵시며
By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.30 While your hand is stretched out to do works of mercy; so that signs and wonders may be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.30 손을 내밀어 병을 낫게 하옵시고 표적과 기사가 거룩한 종 예수의 이름으로 이루어지게 하옵소서 하더라
And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.31 And when their prayer was ended, the place where they were was violently moved, and they all became full of the Holy Spirit, preaching the word of God without fear.31 빌기를 다하매 모인 곳이 진동하더니 무리가 다 성령이 충만하여 담대히 하나님의 말씀을 전하니라
And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.32 And all those who were of the faith were one in heart and soul: and not one of them said that any of the things which he had was his property only; but they had all things in common.32 믿는 무리가 한 마음과 한 뜻이 되어 모든 물건을 서로 통용하고 제 재물을 조금이라도 제 것이라 하는 이가 하나도 없더라
And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.33 And with great power the Apostles gave witness of the coming back of the Lord Jesus from the dead; and grace was on them all.33 사도들이 큰 권능으로 주 예수의 부활을 증거하니 무리가 큰 은혜를 얻어
Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,34 And no one among them was in need; for everyone who had land or houses, exchanging them for money, took the price of them,34 그 중에 핍절한 사람이 없으니 이는 밭과 집 있는 자는 팔아 그 판 것의 값을 가져다가
And laid them down at the apostles feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.35 And put it at the feet of the Apostles for distribution to everyone as he had need.35 사도들의 발 앞에 두매 저희가 각 사람의 필요를 따라 나눠줌이러라
And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,36 And Joseph, who was given by the Apostles the name of Barnabas (the sense of which is, Son of comfort), a Levite and a man of Cyprus by birth,36 구브로에서 난 레위족인이 있으니 이름은 요셉이라 사도들이 일컬어 바나바(번역하면 권위자)라 하니
Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles feet.37 Having a field, got money for it and put the money at the feet of the Apostles.37 그가 밭이 있으매 팔아 값을 가지고 사도들의 발 앞에 두니라
