Paul's journeys. (1-6) Eutychus restored to life. (7-12) Paul travels towards Jerusalem. (13-16) Paul's discourse to the elders of Ephesus. (17-27) Their farewell. (28-38)
KJV BBE KRV
And after the uproar was ceased, Paul called unto him the disciples, and embraced them, and departed for to go into Macedonia.1 And after the noise had come to an end, Paul, having sent for the disciples and given them comfort, went away from them to Macedonia.1 소요가 그치매 바울이 제자들을 불러 권한 후에 작별하고 떠나 마게도냐로 가니라
And when he had gone over those parts, and had given them much exhortation , he came into Greece,2 And when he had gone through those parts and given them much teaching, he came into Greece.2 그 지경으로 다녀가며 여러 말로 제자들에게 권하고 헬라에 이르러
And there abode three months. And when the Jews laid wait for him, as he was about to sail into Syria, he purposed to return through Macedonia.3 And when he had been there three months, because the Jews had made a secret design against him when he was about to take ship for Syria, he made a decision to go back through Macedonia.3 거기 석 달을 있다가 배 타고 수리아로 가고자 할 그 때에 유대인들이 자기를 해하려고 공모하므로 마게도냐로 다녀 돌아가기를 작정하니
And there accompanied him into Asia Sopater of Berea; and of the Thessalonians, Aristarchus and Secundus; and Gaius of Derbe, and Timotheus; and of Asia, Tychicus and Trophimus.4 And Sopater of Beroea, the son of Pyrrhus, and Aristarchus and Secundus of Thessalonica, and Gaius of Derbe, and Timothy, and Tychicus and Trophimus of Asia, went with him as far as Asia.4 아시아까지 함께 가는 자는 베뢰아 사람 부로의 아들 소바더와 데살로니가 사람 아리스다고와 세군도와 더베 사람 가이오와 및 디모데와 아시아 사람 두기고와 드로비모라
These going before tarried for us at Troas.5 But these had gone before, and were waiting for us at Troas.5 그들은 먼저 가서 드로아에서 우리를 기다리더라
And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days.6 And we went away from Philippi by ship after the days of unleavened bread, and came to them at Troas in five days; and we were there for seven days.6 우리는 무교절 후에 빌립보에서 배로 떠나 닷새만에 드로아에 있는 그들에게 가서 이레를 머무니라
And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.7 And on the first day of the week, when we had come together for the holy meal, Paul gave them a talk, for it was his purpose to go away on the day after; and he went on talking till after the middle of the night.7 안식 후 첫날에 우리가 떡을 떼려 하여 모였더니 바울이 이튿날 떠나고자 하여 저희에게 강론할쌔 말을 밤중까지 계속하매
And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together.8 And there were a number of lights in the room where we had come together.8 우리의 모인 윗다락에 등불을 많이 켰는데
And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.9 And a certain young man named Eutychus, who was seated in the window, went into a deep sleep; and while Paul went on talking, being overcome by sleep, he had a fall from the third floor, and was taken up dead.9 유두고라 하는 청년이 창에 걸터 앉았다가 깊이 졸더니 바울이 강론하기를 더 오래 하매 졸음을 이기지 못하여 삼 층 누에서 떨어지거늘 일으켜 보니 죽었는지라
And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him.10 And Paul went down and, falling on him, took him in his arms and said, Do not be troubled, for his life is in him.10 바울이 내려가서 그 위에 엎드려 그 몸을 안고 말하되 떠들지 말라 생명이 저에게 있다 하고
When he therefore was come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed.11 And when he had gone up, and had taken the broken bread, he went on talking to them for a long time, even till dawn, and then he went away.11 올라가 떡을 떼어 먹고 오래 동안 곧 날이 새기까지 이야기하고 떠나니라
And they brought the young man alive, and were not a little comforted.12 And they took the boy in, living, and were greatly comforted.12 사람들이 살아난 아이를 데리고 와서 위로를 적지 않게 받았더라
And we went before to ship, and sailed unto Assos, there intending to take in Paul: for so had he appointed, minding himself to go afoot.13 But we, going before him by ship, went to Assos with the purpose of taking Paul in there: for so he had given orders, because he himself was coming by land.13 우리는 앞서 배를 타고 앗소에서 바울을 태우려고 그리로 행선하니 이는 자기가 도보로 가고자 하여 이렇게 정하여 준 것이라
And when he met with us at Assos, we took him in, and came to Mitylene.14 And when he came up with us at Assos, we took him in the ship and went on to Mitylene.14 바울이 앗소에서 우리를 만나니 우리가 배에 올리고 미둘레네에 가서
And we sailed thence, and came the next day over against Chios; and the next day we arrived at Samos, and tarried at Trogyllium; and the next day we came to Miletus.15 And going from there by sea, we came on the day after opposite Chios, and touching at Samos on the day after that, we came on the third day to Miletus.15 거기서 떠나 이튿날 기오 앞에 오고 그 이튿날 사모에 들리고 또 그 다음날 밀레도에 이르니라
For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost.16 For Paul's purpose was to go past Ephesus, so that he might not be kept in Asia; for he was going quickly, in order, if possible, to be at Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost.16 바울이 아시아에서 지체치 않기 위하여 에베소를 지나 행선하기로 작정하였으니 이는 될수 있는대로 오순절 안에 예루살렘에 이르려고 급히 감이러라
And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church.17 And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus for the rulers of the church.17 바울이 밀레도에서 사람을 에베소로 보내어 교회 장로들을 청하니
And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons,18 And when they had come, he said to them, You yourselves have seen what my life has been like all the time from the day when I first came into Asia,18 오매 저희에게 말하되 아시아에 들어온 첫날부터 지금까지 내가 항상 너희 가운데서 어떻게 행한 것을 너희도 아는바니
Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:19 Doing the Lord's work without pride, through all the sorrow and troubles which came on me because of the evil designs of the Jews:19 곧 모든 겸손과 눈물이며 유대인의 간계를 인하여 당한 시험을 참고 주를 섬긴 것과
And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have showed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house,20 And how I kept back nothing which might be of profit to you, teaching you publicly and privately,20 유익한 것은 무엇이든지 공중 앞에서나 각 집에서나 꺼림이 없이 너희에게 전하여 가르치고
Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.21 Preaching to Jews and to Greeks the need for a turning of the heart to God, and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.21 유대인과 헬라인들에게 하나님께 대한 회개와 우리 주 예수 그리스도께 대한 믿음을 증거한 것이라
And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:22 And now, as you see, I am going to Jerusalem, a prisoner in spirit, having no knowledge of what will come to me there:22 보라 이제 나는 심령에 매임을 받아 예루살렘으로 가는데 저기서 무슨 일을 만날는지 알지 못하노라
Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.23 Only that the Holy Spirit makes clear to me in every town that prison and pains are waiting for me.23 오직 성령이 각 성에서 내게 증거하여 결박과 환난이 나를 기다린다 하시나
But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.24 But I put no value on my life, if only at the end of it I may see the work complete which was given to me by the Lord Jesus, to be a witness of the good news of the grace of God.24 나의 달려갈 길과 주 예수께 받은 사명 곧 하나님의 은혜의 복음 증거하는 일을 마치려 함에는 나의 생명을 조금도 귀한 것으로 여기지 아니하노라
And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.25 And now I am conscious that you, among whom I have gone about preaching the kingdom, will not see my face again.25 보라 내가 너희 중에 왕래하며 하나님 나라를 전파하였으나 지금은 너희가 다 내 얼굴을 다시 보지 못할줄 아노라
Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.26 And so I say to you this day that I am clean from the blood of all men.26 그러므로 오늘 너희에게 증거하노니 모든 사람의 피에 대하여 내가 깨끗하니
For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.27 For I have not kept back from you anything of the purpose of God.27 이는 내가 꺼리지 않고 하나님의 뜻을 다 너희에게 전하였음이라
Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.28 Give attention to yourselves, and to all the flock which the Holy Spirit has given into your care, to give food to the church of God, for which he gave his blood.28 너희는 자기를 위하여 또는 온 양떼를 위하여 삼가라 성령이 저들 가운데 너희로 감독자를 삼고 하나님이 자기 피로 사신 교회를 치게 하셨느니라
For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.29 I am conscious that after I am gone, evil wolves will come in among you, doing damage to the flock;29 내가 떠난 후에 흉악한 이리가 너희에게 들어와서 그 양떼를 아끼지 아니하며
Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.30 And from among yourselves will come men who will give wrong teaching, turning away the disciples after them.30 또한 너희 중에서도 제자들을 끌어 자기를 좇게 하려고 어그러진 말을 하는 사람들이 일어날 줄을 내가 아노니
Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.31 So keep watch, having in mind that for three years without resting I was teaching every one of you, day and night, with weeping.31 그러므로 너희가 일깨어 내가 삼년이나 밤낮 쉬지 않고 눈물로 각 사람을 훈계하던 것을 기억하라
And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.32 And now, I give you into the care of God and the word of his grace, which is able to make you strong and to give you your heritage among all the saints.32 지금 내가 너희를 주와 및 그 은혜의 말씀께 부탁하노니 그 말씀이 너희를 능히 든든히 세우사 거룩케 하심을 입은 모든 자 가운데 기업이 있게 하시리라
I have coveted no man's silver, or gold, or apparel.33 I have had no desire for any man's silver or gold or clothing.33 내가 아무의 은이나 금이나 의복을 탐하지 아니하였고
Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me.34 You yourselves have seen that with these hands I got what was necessary for me and those who were with me.34 너희 아는 바에 이 손으로 나와 내 동행들의 쓰는 것을 당하여
I have showed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.35 In all things I was an example to you of how, in your lives, you are to give help to the feeble, and keep in memory the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, There is a greater blessing in giving than in getting.35 범사에 너희에게 모본을 보였노니 곧 이같이 수고하여 약한 사람들을 돕고 또 주 예수의 친히 말씀하신바 주는 것이 받는 것보다 복이 있다 하심을 기억하여야 할찌니라
And when he had thus spoken, he kneeled down, and prayed with them all.36 And having said these words, he went down on his knees in prayer with them all.36 이 말을 한 후 무릎을 꿇고 저희 모든 사람과 함께 기도하니
And they all wept sore, and fell on Paul's neck, and kissed him,37 And they were all weeping, falling on Paul's neck and kissing him,37 다 크게 울며 바울의 목을 안고 입을 맞추고
Sorrowing most of all for the words which he spake, that they should see his face no more. And they accompanied him unto the ship.38 Being sad most of all because he had said that they would not see his face again. And so they went with him to the ship.38 다시 그 얼굴을 보지 못하리라 한 말을 인하여 더욱 근심하고 배에까지 그를 전송하니라
