Paul and Barnabas at Iconium. (1-7) A cripple healed at Lystra, The people would have sacrificed to Paul and Barnabas. (8-18) Paul stoned at Lystra, The churches visited again. (19-28)
KJV BBE KRV
And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.1 Now in Iconium they went together to the Synagogue of the Jews and gave such teaching that a great number of Jews and Greeks had faith.1 이에 이고니온에서 두 사도가 함께 유대인의 회당에 들어가 말하니 유대와 헬라의 허다한 무리가 믿더라
But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren.2 But those Jews who had not the faith, made the minds of the Gentiles bitter against the brothers.2 그러나 순종치 아니하는 유대인들이 이방인들의 마음을 선동하여 형제들에게 악감을 품게 하거늘
Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.3 So they kept there for a long time, taking heart in the Lord, who gave witness to the word of his grace by causing signs and wonders to be done by their hands.3 두 사도가 오래 있어 주를 힘입어 담대히 말하니 주께서 저희 손으로 표적과 기사를 행하게 하여 주사 자기 은혜의 말씀을 증거하시니
But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.4 But there was a division among the people of the town; some were on the side of the Jews and some on the side of the Apostles.4 그 성내 무리가 나뉘어 유대인을 좇는 자도 있고 두 사도를 좇는 자도 있는지라
And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews with their rulers, to use them despitefully, and to stone them,5 And when a violent attempt was made by the Gentiles and the Jews, with their rulers, to make an attack on them and have them stoned,5 이방인과 유대인과 그 관원들이 두 사도를 능욕하며 돌로 치려고 달려드니
They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about:6 Having got news of it, they went in flight to the towns of Lycaonia, Lystra, and Derbe, and the country round about:6 저희가 알고 도망하여 루가오니아의 두 성 루스드라와 더베와 및 그 근방으로 가서
And there they preached the gospel.7 And went on preaching the good news there.7 거기서 복음을 전하니라
And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked:8 And at Lystra there was a certain man, who from birth had been without the use of his feet, never having had the power of walking.8 루스드라에 발을 쓰지 못하는 한 사람이 있어 앉았는데 나면서 앉은뱅이 되어 걸어 본 적이 없는 자라
The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,9 This man was giving ear to the preaching of Paul, who, looking at him, and seeing that he had faith to be made well,9 바울의 말하는 것을 듣거늘 바울이 주목하여 구원받을만한 믿음이 그에게 있는것을 보고
Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.10 Said in a loud voice, Get up on your feet. And, jumping up, he went walking about.10 큰 소리로 가로되 네 발로 바로 일어서라 하니 그 사람이 뛰어 걷는지라
And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.11 And when the people saw what Paul had done, they said in a loud voice, in the language of Lycaonia, The gods have come down to us in the form of men.11 무리가 바울의 행한 일을 보고 루가오니아 방언으로 소리질러 가로되 신들이 사람의 형상으로 우리 가운데 내려 오셨다 하여
And they called Barnabas , Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker.12 And they gave the name of Jupiter to Barnabas, and to Paul that of Mercury, because he was the chief talker.12 바나바는 쓰스라 하고 바울은 그 중에 말하는 자이므로 허메라 하더라
Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people.13 And the priest of the image of Jupiter, which was before the town, took oxen and flowers to the doors of the town, and was about to make an offering with the people.13 성밖 쓰스신당의 제사장이 소와 화관들을 가지고 대문 앞에 와서 무리와 함께 제사하고자 하니
Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out,14 But when this came to the ears of the Apostles, Paul and Barnabas, they went running out among the people, parting their clothing, and crying out,14 두 사도 바나바와 바울이 듣고 옷을 찢고 무리 가운데 뛰어 들어가서 소리질러
And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:15 Good people, why are you doing these things? We are men with the same feelings as you, and we give you the good news so that you may be turned away from these foolish things to the living God, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and all things in them:15 가로되 여러분이여 어찌하여 이러한 일을 하느냐 우리도 너희와 같은 성정을 가진 사람이라 너희에게 복음을 전하는 것은 이 헛된 일을 버리고 천지와 바다와 그 가운데 만유를 지으시고 살아 계신 하나님께로 돌아 오라 함이라
Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.16 Who in the past let all nations go in the ways which seemed good to them.16 하나님이 지나간 세대에는 모든 족속으로 자기의 길들을 다니게 묵인하셨으나
Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.17 But he was not without witness, because he did good, and gave you rain from heaven and times of fruit, making your hearts full of food and joy.17 그러나 자기를 증거하지 아니하신 것이 아니니 곧 너희에게 하늘로서 비를 내리시며 결실기를 주시는 선한 일을 하사 음식과 기쁨으로 너희 마음에 만족케 하셨느니라 하고
And with these sayings scarce restrained they the people, that they had not done sacrifice unto them.18 And even with these words, it was hard for them to keep the people from making an offering to them.18 이렇게 말하여 겨우 무리를 말려 자기들에게 제사를 못하게 하니라
And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and, having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.19 But some Jews came to that place from Antioch and Iconium, and got control over the people; and after stoning Paul, they had him pulled out of the town, taking him for dead.19 유대인들이 안디옥과 이고니온에서 와서 무리를 초인하여 돌로 바울을 쳐서 죽은 줄로 알고 성밖에 끌어 내치니라
Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.20 But when the disciples came round him, he got up and went into the town: and the day after he went away with Barnabas to Derbe.20 제자들이 둘러 섰을 때에 바울이 일어나 성에 들어갔다가 이튿날 바나바와 함께 더베로 가서
And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,21 And having made a number of disciples through the preaching of the good news in that town, they went back to Lystra and Iconium and Antioch,21 복음을 그 성에서 전하여 많은 사람을 제자로 삼고 루스드라와 이고니온과 안디옥으로 돌아가서
Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.22 Making strong the souls of the disciples, saying to them that they were to keep the faith, and that we have to go through troubles of all sorts to come into the kingdom of God.22 제자들의 마음을 굳게 하여 이 믿음에 거하라 권하고 또 우리가 하나님 나라에 들어가려면 많은 환난을 겪어야 할 것이라 하고
And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.23 And when they had made selection of some to be rulers in every church, and had given themselves to prayer and kept themselves from food, they put them into the care of the Lord in whom they had faith.23 각 교회에서 장로들을 택하여 금식 기도하며 저희를 그 믿은바 주께 부탁하고
And after they had passed throughout Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia.24 And they went through Pisidia and came to Pamphylia.24 비시디아 가운데로 지나가서 밤빌리아에 이르러
And when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down into Attalia:25 And, after preaching the word in Perga, they went down to Attalia;25 도를 버가에서 전하고 앗달리아로 내려가서
And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled.26 And from there they went by ship to Antioch, where they had been handed over to the grace of God for the work which they had not done.26 거기서 배 타고 안디옥에 이르니 이곳은 두 사도의 이룬 그 일을 위하여 전에 하나님의 은혜에 부탁하던 곳이라
And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.27 And when they came there, and had got the church together, they gave them an account of all the things which God had done through them, and how he had made open a door of faith to the Gentiles.27 이르러 교회를 모아 하나님이 함께 행하신 모든 일과 이방인들에게 믿음의 문을 여신 것을 고하고
And there they abode long time with the disciples.28 And they were with the disciples there for a long time.28 제자들과 함께 오래 있으니라
