2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said ㆍ, Separate me ㆍ Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.2 And while they were doing the Lord's work, and going without food, the Holy Spirit said, Let Barnabas and Saul be given to me for the special work for which they have been marked out by me.2 주를 섬겨 금식할 때에 성령이 가라사대 내가 불러 시키는 일을 위하여 바나바와 사울을 따로 세우라 하시니
3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.3 Then, after prayer and going without food they put their hands on them, and sent them away.3 이에 금식하며 기도하고 두 사람에게 안수하여 보내니라
4 So ㆍ they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.4 So, being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia; and from there they went by ship to Cyprus.4 두 사람이 성령의 보내심을 받아 실루기아에 내려가 거기서 배 타고 구브로에 가서
5 And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister.5 And at Salamis they were preaching the word of God in the Synagogues of the Jews: and John was with them, helping them.5 살라미에 이르러 하나님의 말씀을 유대인의 여러 회당에서 전할쌔 요한을 수종자로 두었더라
6 And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus:6 And when they had gone through all the island to Paphos, they came across a certain wonder-worker and false prophet, a Jew whose name was Bar-Jesus;6 온 섬 가운데로 지나서 바보에 이르러 바예수라 하는 유대인 거짓 선지자 박수를 만나니
7 Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.7 Who was with the ruler, Sergius Paulus, an able man. This man sent for Barnabas and Saul, desiring to have knowledge of the word of God.7 그가 총독 서기오 바울과 함께 있으니 서기오 바울은 지혜 있는 사람이라 바나바와 사울을 불러 하나님 말씀을 듣고자 하더라
8 But Elymas the sorcerer ㆍ (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.8 But Elymas, the wonder-worker (for that is the sense of his name), put himself against them, with the purpose of turning the ruler from the faith.8 이 박수 엘루마는(이 이름을 번역하면 박수라) 저희를 대적하여 총독으로 믿지 못하게 힘쓰니
9 Then Saul, ㆍ (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost ㆍ, set his eyes on him,9 But Saul, whose other name is Paul, being full of the Holy Spirit, looking hard at him, said,9 바울이라고 하는 사울이 성령이 충만하여 그를 주목하고
10 And said, O full of all subtlety and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?10 O you, who are full of false tricks and evil ways, a son of the Evil One, hating all righteousness, will you for ever be turning people from the right ways of the Lord?10 가로되 모든 궤계와 악행이 가득한 자요 마귀의 자식이요 모든 의의 원수여 주의 바른 길을 굽게 하기를 그치지 아니하겠느냐
11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.11 And now, see, the hand of the Lord is on you, and you will be blind and not able to see the sun for a time. And straight away a dark mist came down on him; and he went about looking for a guide.11 보라 이제 주의 손이 네 위에 있으니 네가 소경이 되어 얼마 동안 해를 보지 못하리라 하니 즉시 안개와 어두움이 그를 덮어 인도할 사람을 두루 구하는지라
12 Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.12 Then the ruler, when he saw what was done, had faith, being full of wonder at the teaching of the Lord.12 이에 총독이 그렇게 된 것을 보고 믿으며 주의 가르치심을 기이히 여기니라
13 Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem.13 Then Paul and those who were with him went by ship from Paphos and came to Perga in Pamphylia: and there John went away from them and came back to Jerusalem.13 바울과 및 동행하는 사람들이 바보에서 배 타고 밤빌리아에 있는 버가에 이르니 요한은 저희에게서 떠나 예루살렘으로 돌아가고
14 But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.14 But they, going through from Perga, came to Antioch in Pisidia; and they went into the Synagogue on the Sabbath and were seated.14 저희는 버가로부터 지나 비시디아 안디옥에 이르러 안식일에 회당에 들어가 앉으니라
15 And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have ㆍ any word of exhortation for the people, say on.15 And after the reading of the law and the prophets, the rulers of the Synagogue sent to them, saying, Brothers, if you have a word of comfort for the people, say on.15 율법과 선지자의 글을 읽은 후에 회당장들이 사람을 보내어 물어 가로되 형제들아 만일 백성을 권할 말이 있거든 말하라 하니
16 Then Paul stood up, and beckoning with his hand said, Men of Israel, and ye that fear God, give audience.16 And Paul, getting up and making a sign with his hand, said, Men of Israel, and you who have the fear of God, give ear.16 바울이 일어나 손짓하며 말하되 이스라엘 사람들과 및 하나님을 경외하는 사람들아 들으라
17 The God of this people of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and with an high arm brought he them out of it.17 The God of this people Israel made selection of our fathers, lifting the people up from their low condition when they were living in the land of Egypt, and with a strong arm took them out of it.17 이 이스라엘 백성의 하나님이 우리 조상들을 택하시고 애굽 땅에서 나그네 된 그 백성을 높여 큰 권능으로 인도하여 내사
18 And about the time of forty years suffered he their manners in the wilderness.18 And for about forty years he put up with their ways in the waste land.18 광야에서 약 사십 년간 저희 소행을 참으시고
19 And when he had destroyed seven nations in the land of Chanaan, he divided their land to them by lot.19 And having put to destruction seven nations in the land of Canaan, he gave them the land for their heritage for about four hundred and fifty years.19 가나안 땅 일곱 족속을 멸하사 그 땅을 기업으로 주시고(약 사백 오십 년간)
20 And after that he gave unto them judges about the space of four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet.20 And after these things he gave them judges, till the time of Samuel the prophet.20 그 후에 선지자 사무엘 때까지 사사를 주셨더니
21 And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years.21 Then at their request for a king, God gave them Saul, the son of Kish, a man of the family of Benjamin, who was their king for forty years.21 그 후에 저희가 왕을 구하거늘 하나님이 베냐민 지파 사람 기스의 아들 사울을 사십 년간 주셨다가
22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.22 And having put him on one side, he made David their king, to whom he gave witness, saying, I have taken David, the son of Jesse, a man dear to my heart, who will do all my pleasure.22 폐하시고 다윗을 왕으로 세우시고 증거하여 가라사대 내가 이새의 아들 다윗을 만나니 내 마음에 합한 사람이라 내 뜻을 다 이루게 하리라 하시더니
23 Of this man's seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:23 From this man's seed has God given to Israel a Saviour, even Jesus, as he gave his word;23 하나님이 약속하신대로 이 사람의 씨에서 이스라엘을 위하여 구주를 세우셨으니 곧 예수라
24 When John had first preached before his coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.24 For whose coming John made ready the way by preaching to all the people of Israel the baptism which goes with a change of heart.24 그 오시는 앞에 요한이 먼저 회개의 세례를 이스라엘 모든 백성에게 전파하니라
25 And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am not he. But, behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of his feet I am not worthy to loose.25 And when John was completing his work, he said, What do I seem to you to be? I am not he; but one is coming after me, whose shoes I am not good enough to undo.25 요한이 그 달려 갈 길을 마칠 때에 말하되 너희가 나를 누구로 생각하느냐 나는 그리스도가 아니라 내 뒤에 오시는 이가 있으니 나는 그 발의 신 풀기도 감당치 못하리라 하였으니
26 Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.26 My brothers, children of the family of Abraham, and those among you who have the fear of God, to us the word of this salvation is sent.26 형제들 아브라함의 후예와 너희 중 하나님을 경외하는 사람들아 이 구원의 말씀을 우리에게 보내셨거늘
27 For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read ㆍ every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.27 For the men of Jerusalem and their rulers, having no knowledge of him, or of the sayings of the prophets which come to their ears every Sabbath day, gave effect to them by judging him.27 예루살렘에 사는 자들과 저희 관원들이 예수와 및 안식일마다 외우는바 선지자들의 말을 알지 못하므로 예수를 정죄하여 선지자들의 말을 응하게 하였도다
28 And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain.28 And though no cause of death was seen in him, they made a request to Pilate that he might be put to death.28 죽일 죄를 하나도 찾지 못하였으나 빌라도에게 죽여 달라 하였으니
29 And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre.29 And when they had done all the things said in the Writings about him, they took him down from the tree, and put him in the place of the dead.29 성경에 저를 가리켜 기록한 말씀을 다 응하게 한 것이라 후에 나무에서 내려다가 무덤에 두었으나
30 But God raised him from the dead:30 But God gave him back from the dead:30 하나님이 죽은자 가운데서 저를 살리신지라
31 And he was seen many ㆍ days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people.31 And for a number of days he was seen by those who came with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are now his witnesses before the people.31 갈릴리로부터 예루살렘에 함께 올라간 사람들에게 여러날 보이셨으니 저희가 이제 백성 앞에 그의 증인이라
32 And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers,32 And we are giving you the good news of the undertaking made to the fathers,32 우리도 조상들에게 주신 약속을 너희에게 전파하노니
33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.33 Which God has now put into effect for our children, by sending Jesus; as it says in the second Psalm, You are my Son; this day I have given you being.33 곧 하나님이 예수를 일으키사 우리 자녀들에게 이 약속을 이루게 하셨다 함이라 시편 둘째 편에 기록한 바와 같이 너는 내 아들이라 오늘 너를 낳았다 하셨고
34 And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise ㆍ, I will give you the sure mercies of David.34 And about his coming back from the dead, never again to go to destruction, he has said these words, I will give you the holy and certain mercies of David.34 또 하나님께서 죽은 자 가운데서 저를 일으키사 다시 썩음을 당하지 않게 하실 것을 가르쳐 가라사대 내가 다윗의 거룩하고 미쁜 은사를 너희에게 주리라 하셨으니
35 Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.35 Because he says in another Psalm, You will not let your Holy One see destruction.35 그러므로 또 다른 편에 일렀으되 주의 거룩한 자로 썩음을 당하지 않게 하시리라 하셨느니라
36 For ㆍ David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:36 Now David, having done God's work for his generation, went to sleep, and was put with his fathers, and his body came to destruction:36 다윗은 당시에 하나님의 뜻을 좇아 섬기다가 잠들어 그 조상들과 함께 묻혀 썩음을 당하였으되
37 But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.37 But he, who was lifted up by God, did not see destruction.37 하나님의 살리신 이는 썩음을 당하지 아니하였나니
38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:38 And so, let it be clear to you, my brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is offered to you:38 그러므로 형제들아 너희가 알 것은 이 사람을 힘입어 죄 사함을 너희에게 전하는 이것이며
39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.39 And through him everyone who has faith is made free from all those things, from which the law of Moses was not able to make you free.39 또 모세의 율법으로 너희가 의롭다 하심을 얻지 못하던 모든 일에도 이 사람을 힘입어 믿는 자마다 의롭다 하심을 얻는 이것이라
40 Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets;40 So take care that these words of the prophets do not come true for you;40 그런즉 너희는 선지자들로 말씀하신 것이 너희에게 미칠까 삼가라
41 Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.41 See, you doubters, have wonder and come to your end; for I will do a thing in your days to which you will not give belief, even if it is made clear to you.41 일렀으되 보라 멸시하는 사람들아 너희는 놀라고 망하라 내가 너희 때를 당하여 한 일을 행할 것이니 사람이 너희에게 이를찌라도 도무지 믿지 못할 일이라 하였느니라 하니라
42 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.42 And when they went out, they made a request that these words might be said to them again on the Sabbath after.42 저희가 나갈쌔 사람들이 청하되 다음 안식일에도 이 말씀을 하라 하더라
43 Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.43 Now when the meeting was ended, a number of the Jews and of the God-fearing Gentiles who had become Jews, went after Paul and Barnabas: who put before them how important it was to keep on in the grace of God.43 폐회한 후에 유대인과 유대교에 입교한 경건한 사람들이 많이 바울과 바나바를 좇으니 두 사도가 더불어 말하고 항상 하나님의 은혜 가운데 있으라 권하니라
44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.44 And on the Sabbath after, almost all the town came together to give hearing to the word of God.44 그 다음 안식일에는 온 성이 거의 다 하나님 말씀을 듣고자 하여 모이니
45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.45 But when the Jews saw such a great number of people, they were full of envy and said evil words against Paul's preaching.45 유대인들이 그 무리를 보고 시기가 가득하여 바울의 말한 것을 변박하고 비방하거늘
46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.46 Then Paul and Barnabas without fear said, It was necessary for the word of God to be given to you first; but because you will have nothing to do with it, and have no desire for eternal life, it will now be offered to the Gentiles.46 바울과 바나바가 담대히 말하여 가로되 하나님의 말씀을 마땅히 먼저 너희에게 전할 것이로되 너희가 버리고 영생 얻음에 합당치 않은 자로 자처하기로 우리가 이방인에게로 향하노라
47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.47 For so the Lord has given us orders, saying, I have given you for a light to the Gentiles so that you may be for salvation to the ends of the earth.47 주께서 이같이 우리를 명하시되 내가 너를 이방의 빛을 삼아 너로 땅 끝까지 구원하게 하리라 하셨느니라 하니
48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.48 And the Gentiles, hearing this, were glad and gave glory to the word of God: and those marked out by God for eternal life had faith.48 이방인들이 듣고 기뻐하여 하나님의 말씀을 찬송하며 영생을 주시기로 작정된 자는 다 믿더라
49 And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region.49 And the word of the Lord went through all the country.49 주의 말씀이 그 지방에 두루 퍼지니라
50 But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts.50 But the Jews, working up the feelings of the God-fearing women of high position and of the chief men of the town, got an attack started against Paul and Barnabas, driving them out of those parts.50 이에 유대인들이 경건한 귀부인들과 그 성내 유력자들을 선동하여 바울과 바나바를 핍박케 하여 그 지경에서 쫓아내니
51 But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium.51 But they, shaking off the dust of that place from their feet, came to Iconium.51 두 사람이 저희를 향하여 발에 티끌을 떨어 버리고 이고니온으로 가거늘
52 And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost.52 And the disciples were full of joy and of the Holy Spirit.52 제자들은 기쁨과 성령이 충만하니라
