4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?4 And he went down on the earth, and a voice said to him, Saul, Saul, why are you attacking me so cruelly?4 땅에 엎드러져 들으매 소리 있어 가라사대 사울아 사울아 네가 어찌하여 나를 핍박하느냐 하시거늘
5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.5 And he said, Who are you, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus, whom you are attacking:5 대답하되 주여 뉘시오니이까 가라사대 나는 네가 핍박하는 예수라
6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.6 But get up, and go into the town, and it will be made clear to you what you have to do.6 네가 일어나 성으로 들어가라 행할 것을 네게 이를 자가 있느니라 하시니
7 And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing ㆍ a voice, but seeing no man.7 And the men who were with him were not able to say anything; hearing the voice, but seeing no one.7 같이 가던 사람들은 소리만 듣고 아무도 보지 못하여 말을 못하고 섰더라
8 And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.8 And Saul got up from the earth, and when his eyes were open, he saw nothing; and he was guided by the hand into Damascus.8 사울이 땅에서 일어나 눈은 떴으나 아무 것도 보지 못하고 사람의 손에 끌려 다메섹으로 들어가서
9 And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.9 And for three days he was not able to see, and he took no food or drink.9 사흘 동안을 보지 못하고 식음을 전폐하니라
10 And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.10 Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and the Lord said to him in a vision, Ananias! and he said, Here I am, Lord.10 그 때에 다메섹에 아나니아라 하는 제자가 있더니 주께서 환상 중에 불러 가라사대 아나니아야 하시거늘 대답하되 주여 내가 여기 있나이다 하니
11 And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,11 And the Lord said to him, Get up, and go to the street which is named Straight, and make search at the house of Judas for one named Saul of Tarsus: for he is at prayer;11 주께서 가라사대 일어나 직가라 하는 거리로 가서 유다 집에서 다소 사람 사울이라 하는 자를 찾으라 저가 기도하는 중이다
12 And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.12 And he has seen a man named Ananias coming in and putting his hands on him, so that he may be able to see.12 저가 아나니아라 하는 사람이 들어와서 자기에게 안수하여 다시 보게 하는 것을 보았느니라 하시거늘
13 Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:13 But Ananias said, Lord, I have had accounts of this man from a number of people, how much evil he has done to your saints at Jerusalem:13 아나니아가 대답하되 주여 이 사람에 대하여 내가 여러 사람에게 듣사온즉 그가 예루살렘에서 주의 성도에게 적지 않은 해를 끼쳤다 하더니
14 And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.14 And here he has authority from the chief priests to make prisoners all who give worship to your name.14 여기서도 주의 이름을 부르는 모든 자를 결박할 권세를 대제사장들에게 받았나이다 하거늘
15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:15 But the Lord said, Go without fear: for he is a special vessel for me, to give to the Gentiles and kings and to the children of Israel the knowledge of my name:15 주께서 가라사대 가라 이 사람은 내 이름을 이방인과 임금들과 이스라엘 자손들 앞에 전하기 위하여 택한 나의 그릇이라
16 For I will show him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.16 For I will make clear to him what troubles he will have to undergo for me.16 그가 내 이름을 위하여 해를 얼마나 받아야 할 것을 내가 그에게 보이리라 하시니
17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.17 And Ananias went out and came to the house, and putting his hands on him, said, Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, whom you saw when you were on your journey, has sent me, so that you may be able to see, and be full of the Holy Spirit.17 아나니아가 떠나 그 집에 들어가서 그에게 안수하여 가로되 형제 사울아 주 곧 네가 오는 길에서 나타나시던 예수께서 나를 보내어 너로 다시 보게 하시고 성령으로 충만하게 하신다 하니
18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.18 And straight away it seemed as if a veil was taken from his eyes, and he was able to see; and he got up, and had baptism;18 즉시 사울의 눈에서 비늘 같은 것이 벗어져 다시 보게 된지라 일어나 세례를 받고
19 And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus.19 And when he had taken food his strength came back. And for some days he kept with the disciples who were in Damascus.19 음식을 먹으매 강건하여지니라 사울이 다메섹에 있는 제자들과 함께 며칠 있을쌔
20 And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.20 And straight away, in the Synagogues, he was preaching Jesus as the Son of God.20 즉시로 각 회당에서 예수의 하나님의 아들이심을 전파하니
21 But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests?21 And all those hearing him were full of wonder and said, Is not this the man who in Jerusalem was attacking all the worshippers of this name? and he had come here so that he might take them as prisoners before the chief priests.21 듣는 사람이 다 놀라 말하되 이 사람이 예루살렘에서 이 이름 부르는 사람을 잔해하던 자가 아니냐 여기 온 것도 저희를 결박하여 대제사장들에게 끌어 가고자 함이 아니냐 하더라
22 But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ.22 But Saul went on increasing in power, and the Jews in Damascus were not able to give answers to the arguments by which he made it clear that Jesus was the Christ.22 사울은 힘을 더 얻어 예수를 그리스도라 증명하여 다메섹에 사는 유대인들을 굴복시키니라
23 And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill him:23 Then, after some days, the Jews made an agreement together to put him to death:23 여러 날이 지나매 유대인들이 사울 죽이기를 공모하더니
24 But their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to kill him.24 But Saul got knowledge of their design. And they kept watch day and night on the roads out of the town, so that they might put him to death:24 그 계교가 사울에게 알려지니라 저희가 그를 죽이려고 밤낮으로 성문까지 지키거늘
25 Then the disciples took him by night, and let him down ㆍ by the wall in a basket.25 But his disciples took him by night and let him down from the wall in a basket.25 그의 제자들이 밤에 광주리에 사울을 담아 성에서 달아 내리니라
26 And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that he was a disciple.26 And when he came to Jerusalem, he made an attempt to be joined to the disciples, but they were all in fear of him, not taking him for a disciple.26 사울이 예루살렘에 가서 제자들을 사귀고자 하나 다 두려워하여 그의 제자 됨을 믿지 아니하니
27 But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.27 But Barnabas took him to the Apostles and gave them an account of how he had seen the Lord on the road, and had given hearing to his words, and how at Damascus he had been preaching in the name of Jesus without fear.27 바나바가 데리고 사도들에게 가서 그가 길에서 어떻게 주를 본 것과 주께서 그에게 말씀하신 일과 다메섹에서 그가 어떻게 예수의 이름으로 담대히 말하던 것을 말하니라
28 And he was with them coming in and going out at Jerusalem.28 And he was with them, going in and out at Jerusalem,28 사울이 제자들과 함께 있어 예루살렘에 출입하며
29 And he spake boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, and ㆍ disputed against the Grecians: but they went about to slay him.29 Preaching in the name of the Lord without fear; and he had discussions with the Greek Jews; but they were working for his death.29 또 주 예수의 이름으로 담대히 말하고 헬라파 유대인들과 함께 말하며 변론하니 그 사람들이 죽이려고 힘쓰거늘
30 Which when the brethren knew, they brought him down to Caesarea, and sent him forth to Tarsus.30 And when the brothers had knowledge of it, they took him to Caesarea and sent him to Tarsus.30 형제들이 알고 가이사랴로 데리고 내려가서 다소로 보내니라
31 Then ㆍ had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.31 And so the church through all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was made strong; and, living in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, was increased greatly.31 그리하여 온 유대와 갈릴리와 사마리아 교회가 평안하여 든든히 서 가고 주를 경외함과 성령의 위로로 진행하여 수가 더 많아지니라
32 And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout ㆍ all quarters, he came down also to the saints which dwelt at Lydda.32 And it came about that while Peter was going through all parts of the country he came to the saints who were living at Lydda.32 때에 베드로가 사방으로 두루 행하다가 룻다에 사는 성도들에게도 내려갔더니
33 And there he found a certain man named Aeneas, which had kept ㆍ his bed ㆍ eight years, and was sick of the palsy.33 And there was a certain man there, named Aeneas, who for eight years had been in bed, without power of moving.33 거기서 애니아라 하는 사람을 만나매 그가 중풍병으로 상 위에 누운지 팔년이라
34 And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately.34 And Peter said to him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ makes you well: get up and make your bed. And straight away he got up.34 베드로가 가로되 애니아야 예수 그리스도께서 너를 낫게 하시니 일어나 네 자리를 정돈하라 한대 곧 일어나니
35 And all that dwelt at Lydda and Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord.35 And all those living in Lydda and Sharon saw him, and were turned to the Lord.35 룻다와 사론에 사는 사람들이 다 그를 보고 주께로 돌아가니라
36 Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman ㆍ was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.36 Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, that is, Dorcas: this woman was given to good works and acts of mercy at all times.36 욥바에 다비다라 하는 여제자가 있으니 그 이름을 번역하면 도르가라 선행과 구제하는 일이 심히 많더니
37 And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed ㆍ, they laid her in an upper chamber.37 And it came about, in those days, that she got ill and came to her death: and when she had been washed, they put her in a room which was high up.37 그 때에 병들어 죽으매 시체를 씻어 다락에 뉘우니라
38 And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there ㆍ, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them.38 And because Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, having knowledge that Peter was there, sent two men to him, requesting him to come to them straight away.38 룻다가 욥바에 가까운지라 제자들이 베드로가 거기 있음을 듣고 두 사람을 보내어 지체말고 오라고 간청하니
39 Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and showing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.39 And Peter went with them. And when he had come, they took him into the room: and all the widows were there, weeping and putting before him the coats and clothing which Dorcas had made while she was with them.39 베드로가 일어나 저희와 함께 가서 이르매 저희가 데리고 다락에 올라가니 모든 과부가 베드로의 곁에 서서 울며 도르가가 저희와 함께 있을 때에 지은 속옷과 겉옷을 다 내어 보이거늘
40 But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down ㆍ, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up.40 But Peter made them all go outside, and went down on his knees in prayer; and turning to the body, he said, Tabitha, get up. And, opening her eyes, she saw Peter and got up.40 베드로가 사람을 다 내어보내고 무릎을 꿇고 기도하고 돌이켜 시체를 향하여 가로되 다비다야 일어나라 하니 그가 눈을 떠 베드로를 보고 일어나 앉는지라
41 And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive.41 And he took her hand, lifting her up; and, sending for the saints and widows, he gave her to them, living.41 베드로가 손을 내밀어 일으키고 성도들과 과부들을 불러 들여 그의 산 것을 보이니
42 And it was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord.42 And news of it went all through Joppa, and a number of people had faith in the Lord.42 온 욥바 사람이 알고 많이 주를 믿더라
43 And it came to pass, that he tarried many days in Joppa with one Simon a tanner.43 And he was living in Joppa for some time with Simon, a leather-worker.43 베드로가 욥바에 여러 날 있어 시몬이라 하는 피장의 집에서 유하니라
